Project Overview

THE PROJECT:

      The Kane Chronicles Podcast is a non-profit fan-made project based on the Kane Chronicles series. While there won't be any payment, credit will be given to every person involved. IF the project becomes successful enough to bring profit, this situation will change.

     Synopsis: One day the two protagonists of the series, Carter and Sadie Kane, decide to start a podcast. The project will follow the lives of the Brooklyn House initiates in the years following the end of the last book in the series - The Serpent's Shadow. It will include conspiracy theories, personal stories from the nome, interviews with other characters, rants on different subjects and conversations on some serious topics. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

     This is a long-term project, so one of our main goals is forming a dedicated team. As of July 2020, we are only looking for writers. More team spots (such as voice actors, artists, beta listeners, etc.) will be added to the casting call once the script for the first episode is finished.

    Requirements: 


  • You must be over 13 years old;

  • You must have Discord; 

  • (For voice actors) You must have a decent microphone and good audio quality. 

  • Have fun and be kind;

Important to note: When it comes to the characters from the Kane Chronicles series, our writing team must be able to accurately capture the experiences of many different people from many different backgrounds. Those include, but are not limited to: 


  • biracial characters (black and white); 

  • African American characters; 

  • Egyptian characters; 

  • Russian characters; 

  • British characters; 

  • Brazilian characters; 

  • Characters with various mental illnesses and traumas, including depression and ptsd; 

  • A character who has had to deal with chronic pain all his life; 

  • An entire mansion with all kinds of kids and teens from all over the world; 

       The last point leaves space open for physical disabilities, neurodiversity, lgbtq+ representation, all kinds of ethnic backgrounds and so on. 

      In addition, writers must have an understanding of the source material (the world, the characters, etc.), as well as an understanding of Ancient Egypt, its traditions and its gods.
