Just Monika: Hazbin Hotel Cover
Project Overview
This is a Hazbin Hotel cover of Just Monika from Random Encounters. I have been listening to the song a lot lately and have been trying to come up with lyrics to be sung by the characters from Hazbin Hotel. Thought this would be a fun project to work on, but I need some voice actors who can sing in character to help me with this.
Here is a link to the instrumental on youtube: https://youtu.be/k3eZCnl2zy4

Vaggie is a pragmatic and cautious young sinner, who devotes a great deal of her time towards attempting to support Charlie with her vision for the hotel, as well as guide her away from as much trouble or humiliation as possible. It's unclear whether Vaggie fully buys into Charlie's proposed concept for redemption, but she passionately defends it from more skeptical sinners nonetheless. Vaggie appears to be fairly prudent in business, trying her hardest to fill her designated role as hotel management, even with an initial lack of resources and a very run-down property to operate out of. Loyal and kind to those she cares for, but short on patience and trust, Vaggie tends to be very reactive and often takes an immediate defensive stance (with an offense at the ready) when it comes to dealing with potential threats, towards either herself or to Charlie. She is also relatively easy to bait past the point of irritation and into more rash explosiveness, as others are quick to discover.
Your credibility? What about the hotel's? Your little stunt made us look like a fucking joke!
Was that you trying to be sexist, or racist?
Stop right there! Cabrón hijo de perra! I know your game! And I'm not gonna let you hurt anyone! You pompous, cheesy talk show shitlord!
Alastor stands out from many of the more chaotic residents of hell for his well maintained amiable persona. He gives the first-impression of a good-natured and charming man, wearing a permanently wide grin on his face at all times. Alastor's behavior, mannerisms, and even his voice are similar to an old-fashioned radio announcer and speaks with a transatlantic accent, often using quaint anachronisms such as "picture show" and refers to Charlie as "charming demon belle". This playful dandyish exterior, however, obscures a much darker side to him though, one with high levels of self-importance that will not hesitate to use physical violence when others don't act in line with his very particular values or expectations. Alastor is described as a man of duality. He values good manners, affability and intelligence very highly in others, and will actively look down on those who do not meet his standards, however he will often play fast and loose with these arbitrary rules in regards to himself and his own conduct. His smiling is also a show of power and dominance, and miserable people are seen by him as weak. Alastor has an odd sense of morality, which is described as "not normal", and has been noted to be quite sadistic and even cannibalistic, devouring lesser demons or those that have incurred his anger. Despite this, he keeps close friends with the other cannibals of hell, including the denizens at the Cannibal Colony. He is narcissistic, not seeing many people quite up to his level. However, that does not make him reckless. Despite being extremely powerful, Alastor is fully aware that there are other demons and entities that rival him in terms of power, such as other Overlords. For this reason, he is wary around such demons, as they could potentially harm him if he is not careful. Despite everything, Alastor does genuinely want to help Charlie run the Happy Hotel, albeit for his own amusement and hopes for its failure over siding with her idealism. Alastor also dismisses the idea that redemption is possible as laughable, nevertheless, he fulfills his role as patron as promised, providing the hotel with staff, and protecting Charlie and her business from outside threats. He views the whole endeavor as a fun distraction from his decades of boredom.
Consider it an investment in ongoing entertainment for myself! I want to watch the scum of the world struggle to climb up the hill of betterment! Only to repeatedly trip, and tumble down to the fiery pit of failure.
Hahaha! It's the purest kind, my dear. Reality! True passion! After all, the world is a stage. And a stage is a world of entertainment.
Could you have guessed? Maybe you knew? Charlie is next
I'm deleting her too!
We don't need cupcakes or poems or tea, I only need you to love me!Hey, there's no one else in our way
So look at me and just say, right here, my dear that you love me!
And we'll sit here 'til the end of time 'cause I've earned this and
You're finally mine!
And I'm sorry what you've had to see, but it
No longer matters, 'cause now you belong to me!
Angel is sassy and sarcastic, with a sharp wit. He will often use those traits to deflect criticism or insults, and side-step responsibility.
He will switch between playful and destructive as he pleases, and his humor tends to be crude and crass, with an emphasis on dirty jokes and innuendo. He is stylish and projects an excessive amount of confidence with his public persona, being wildly flirtatious and interested in receiving positive attention for his looks and the profile he has made for himself in Hell. He also makes a show of looking down others for their looks, declaring the other denizens of Hell to be mostly "ugly freaks".
As a result, Angel can often appear flippant and callous, but in reality, he is preemptively defensive and hides much of his true, more sensitive, self for his own protection, not expecting those around him to show him kindness.
Angel does have friends, and while he cares about them and will sometimes show signs of wanting to reach out, he keeps many walls up between himself and others, and avoids holding overly emotional relationships. He holds cynical views on the idea of redemption, although he seems to still hold onto a small hope it may be possible for him.
The on-going controlling and abusive situation he is in with his boss, Valentino, puts him under a great deal of stress at his work, and he is implied to be somewhat traumatized as a result.
Yeah, yeah, listen, keep this discreet ya hear me? I can't let it get out I'm offerin' my services to randos in the street! It was a quick cash grab... Ya got it?
Ouch! Ooh! Such an insult! Let me know when you come up with something creative to call me, you sack of poorly packaged horse shit!
Oh I wish! I've been staying at this crappy hotel on the other side of town, some broads are letting me stay rent free if I play nice. You know, no fights, no pranks, no problematic language, her words not mine. Ugh, these crazy bitches are no fun, I've been clean for two weeks.
And I'll walk home alone todayMaybe we're friends, maybe we're more
How could he love a simple slut next door?
I'm just not the type he's looking for!
Husk is a grumpy, lazy and apathetic older sinner, who is generally uninterested in most things that fall outside of his now very narrow interests; namely gambling, parlor tricks, and prolific drinking.
He resists having to do work for free and balks at the idea of being forced into doing "charity work" at Alastor's request for the Hazbin Hotel (although he also seems easily bribed with "cheap booze").
A ‘husk’ of his former self, he claims to have "lost the ability to love" long ago, though whether literally or metaphorically is yet unclear.
He can be gruff, sarcastic, and even vulgar at times, with a propensity to swear. Despite this, he is said to also be surprisingly patient and able to take outlandish events in his stride, electing to drink his problems away later.
You thought it'd be some kind of big fucking riot just to pull me out of nowhere?! You think I'm some kind of fucking clown?!
What? You think you can buy me with a wink and some cheap booze?! Well, you can!
I wish I could make him grin
But I'm always stuck on this bottle of gin.
