JoJo Steel Ball Run Fandub: Johnny Recasting

JoJo Steel Ball Run Fandub: Johnny Recasting

Project Overview

Hello again, everyone. Due to personal reasons, Elliot has decided to step down from the role of Johnny. This means we'll be looking for someone to fill the voice role! We'll be using the same lines to audition from the initial casting, so if you auditioned in that casting, feel free to use/redub your old takes.

In addition, we'll be looking for additional editors in all three categories (Audio, Image, and Video editing). This is due to how much work really needs to be done. It seems easy to say that you'll edit out so many pages by a certain date, but as it's all volunteer work, it's very easy for more important things to come up. The hope is that more people working on the project will make it easier to hit deadlines, and be able to make much closer ones as well. For editor roles, please send a message in the discord, as long as you can help, we'll gladly take what you can offer.

I am going to be very busy with personal matters until around the 13th, so apologies if a question goes unanswered for a while. I hope that's understandable. If you're seeing this from Casting Call Club, please join the discord and ask around for help- I might not be able to answer, but there are a lot of people who are very friendly and willing to help. The lead of the part, Johnny is an american born, talented racer. He often acts as the audience's guide, explaining what is happening to the audience, but also has a personality of his own, getting excited and shouting out hasty options in a panic.

  • Gyro. You already have a good idea of who this Saint is, don't you?

  • My soul was dying slowly before I entered this race...now I feel like it's reborn. Once I give up collecting the Corpse parts, my soul will start dying again.

  • Shit! They're here! They've surrounded the pillar!

As an image editor, you'll be helping us take the manga pages and making them into workable files for the video editors. This means cutting out the panels from the page, putting the text onto a separate layer, and occasionally, redrawing parts of the manga as needed. Everything will be done in Photoshop.
