It's Not Hansel and Gretel READ-ALONG Audio book
Project Overview
I want to create a read-along story book of "It's Not Hansel and Gretel."
If you love fairytales, love picture books, and want to star in a SFW project, then this is for you!
When you send me your auditions, here are some requirements:
1) Save it as Name.AuditionfornameofCharacter.
2) Save it as mp3 or mp4 files because they are easy for me to work with.
3) No background noises. Any audition that has background noises will be rejected.
4) Have fun! This is the time to let yourself loose! Go wild!
Although this is a zero budget plan, I do hope to get paid on YouTube after making this video. If I get paid, I will negotiate and split the money with you.

There has been an incredible response among this casting call. I love that everybody auditioned for the narrator, and the witch. I am pushing the deadline to April 29th. Once more people audition, then I'll be able to make a final decision! Good luck!
The narrator's job is to tell the story of Hansel and Gretel. Nice person, just gets annoyed with the kids who do not want to listen to the storyteller. The storyteller and the kids sometimes fight over what should happen next in the story.
Once upon a time, Hansel and Gretel lived with their mama and papa on the outskirts of the woods.
Wait! You can't leave without me! I'm the one telling the story!
Gretel is a spunky, naive little girl. She always looks out for her brother and is always confident that things will turn out all right, no matter how bad they are.
"Nah, our parents love us."
"Excuse me, but we lived on the outskirts of these woods our whole lives. I think we know our way around."
"Don't be silly. She's a sweet old lady."
Hansel is a sweet little boy. He looks up to Gretel. He is sensitive so Gretel always makes sure that he doesn't cry.
Because he is a child, I'm looking for someone who can give him a high voice. Men who are tenors and women are free to audition for this role.
"Bread crumbs? I didn't bring any bread crumbs. It's a time of great famine. If there are bread crumbs left, we eat them!"
"Gretel, should we be worried?"
The witch is very mean and very eager to eat children. She skips ahead in the story, much to the chagrin of the narrator, so she can eat the children.
Double, Double, toil and trouble..
Come inside from the cold, little dearies. I can put you in my oven to warm you up.
Papa is Hansel and Gretel's father. He is not the brightest crayon in the box. He was supposed to leave children out in the woods but only temporary, instead of permanently.
"I'm so sorry children! I got lost on the way home to get blankets and food. You know I have a terrible sense of direction."
Mother of the children. She is really nice, she and her husband just didn't know how to survive the famine. She went out to search for the kids when her husband lost them.
And I built this flying contraption to go searching for you.
