Project Overview
About Apothecary Diaries:
Maomao, an apothecary's daughter, has been plucked from her peaceful life and sold to the lowest echelons of the imperial court. Now merely a maid, Maomao settles into her new mundane life and hides her extensive knowledge of medicine in order to avoid any unwanted attention.
Not long after Maomao's arrival, the emperor's infant children inexplicably begin to experience grave symptoms—almost as if a curse has been cast. The curious Maomao easily solves the mystery and, to remain out of the limelight, attempts to leave an anonymous tip. Unfortunately, the dashing and perceptive eunuch Jinshi sees through it and manages to single her out.
In recognition of her talent, Maomao is promoted to lady-in-waiting for the emperor's favorite concubine, Gyokuyou. As Maomao continues to remedy the numerous ailments afflicting the imperial court, her pharmaceutical expertise quickly proves indispensable.
About the Abridged:
This is going to be a bit of a recap of the first season which doesn't cover everything because I don't remember many non-important things even though most of it was 😭but anyways, I hope I can make people laugh with my writing and bring more viewers to go watch Apothecary Diaries!

Maomao became a maidservant to the Emperor's harem after being kidnapped and sold. She used to live with her father as a pharmacist in the red light district and is very knowledgeable about medicine and poisons but isn't very interested in other humans.
Her character in THIS abridged video/summary, she curses quite a lot and loves to throw around her sarcasm. She sometimes forget about the word "poison" but she slowly goes back into the flow with the word. She says a lot of things in monotone and calmly instead of when she hears anything about alcohol, drugs, and poison. She yells a lot though when she's mad and throws around the "b word" quite a lot.

Jinshi is the deuteragonist of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto. He appears to be beautiful eunuch who was placed in charge of the inner palace and often requests for Maomao to solve mysteries in the palace in exchange for rare medicines. He finds Maomao's apathy toward him refreshing and amusing. Later, his childish curiosity evolves into a one-sided romantic affection.
Jinshi's role is in THIS abridged/summary video, he's very uptight and he's very MUCH a simp for Maomao and is a masochist. Also, is a narcissist. He curses quite a bit if not a lot when he's mad.

Lady Gyokuyou, Noble Consort of the Jade Palace is the Emperor's favorite Consort. She holds great charisma and influence over the inner court.
Lady Gyokuyou in THIS abridged/summary video is just very light and sweet. Barely gets mad and is always happy.

Gaoshun is Jinshi's assistant. He is in charge of various tasks in the inner and outer palace to lessen the workload of his master.
Gaoshun in THIS abridged/summary video, he's sadly doesn't get many lines :( because I like sort of forgot about him but he's very careful over Jinshi.
