The NHS recommends getting tested regularly, especially if you are at higher risk of getting HIV, like men and transgender women who have sex with men, and Black African men and women.
Pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, is a medication that can be used by people who are not HIV positive, but may be at higher risk of getting it. PrEP reduces the risk of catching HIV from unprotected sex.
