Welcome to History of Shadows' casting call!

History of Shadows is a "to-be" animatic that will be shown on the YouTube channel Jeli Beans.
There's already about 7 chapters up, however, these are during the time the story was just an audiobook. After some time of thought and consideration, it has been decided that the story will be an Animatic.

/ / / ABOUT / / /
Originally called "The Myth", started off as a 6th grader's writing assignment and became a book on Wattpad. Having two previous versions, one being completed-, History of Shadows is the latest version, making it the eBook it is today. The story is still on Wattpad to be read but also listened to on Jeli Bean's channel, and very soon (hopefully)- The animatic which will have many different artists and actors, showing off their talents within this simple and fun project.
A story about three friends going on a disastrous vacation and finding themselves in a long lasted war between two races, Shadows, and humans.
You also follow a story about a boy, with no memory of his father, finding out he's a part of something bigger together with all other Shadows.

 / / / WHAT IS NEEDED / / /
We are in need of two types of people, Artists, and Voice Actors.
Getting the V.A's out of the way, we're in need of two actors, a male, and a female. If we decide to remake the first few chapters and turn them into full animatics, we'll be in need of more actors so keep an eye on this CC, in case we ever update it and add more characters!
When it comes to Artists, we would need anyone who's familiar with drawing humans, potential animals or creatures, and backgrounds.
Sadly, because of our projects not gaining any profit, there are no options for payments. We're looking for volunteers who would like to just have a fun time and see a story come to a close, once and for all. 

/ / / WHAT WE ASK  OF YOU / / /

- Voice Actors -

• A hearable mic and little- to no background sound - / / - Most of us within the team have some sort of microphone that sounds rather clean and a more or less quiet space where we record. It makes things easier to edit later on as well when trying to add ambience to said scene.
• Some experience - / / - We've had our fair share of "bad" actors, but no one is truly bad at acting. What we're after is someone who's able to fake a laugh, a cry- Sound pissed or enraged, hurt, and in rare cases badly hurt. You don't have to consider yourself an actor to join, because we'll have anyone who can just do the job "correctly".
• Files need to be sent in one whole file as either a .mp3 or .mp4 through email, and if the file is small enough- Perhaps just straight-through Discord. You don't need to cut anything from the file unless there's anything within it that you don't want us to hear, but bloopers would be fun to add in the future. You are able to re-read the lines however you please but I'm asking for at least two or three examples per sentence.
• You need to be ready if I perhaps ask you to re-do some lines, it is really rare for me to do such a request, but it can happen if the line isn't suitable for the scene.

- Artist -

• Able to draw humans, animals, or creatures and backgrounds. Most characters have a design already but sometimes everyone could gather together and decide what a character (who doesn't have a design yet) could look like.
• Coming up with ideas and concept arts is a major key in order to make this project work, so there will be occasional meetings every now and then, so knowing the timezones of some artists will be required, but it'll most likely be asked before being added to the Discord Server.
• Drawn Scenes needs to be saved as a .png and must be sent through email.

- In General -

• Discord is our main way of communication, it is required that you have it if you wish to join the team.
• Email is our way of sharing the files, whether it's voice lines or scenes doesn't matter. If you're not comfortable with sharing the email, it's fine- There are always other ways of sharing the files.
• Since HoS will mostly contain volunteers, the story will take a while to finish, which means it would be nice if you could stick around to the end and not leave halfway. You need to be patient, stories like these can take time. I'm lucky most people have so far stuck around for 2 years for only 7 chapters to be uploaded- but there were multiple reasons why it took so long for chapters to be released.
• Of course, you'll be credited for the amazing work you've done! It may not be in a payment, but I'll make sure to put your name out there for people to see what an amazing person you are in helping out!
• Have fun! It's important that you're doing something you enjoy, and it's fine to leave if you're not enjoying what you're doing. As long as you message me before leaving, and perhaps a quick summary of why, I won't stop you.

If you have been chosen to join the team, a message or friend request (depending on what your settings are for who can message you) will be sent by "Miyuna Kasai" on Discord. Once we've had a small chat, you'll be added to the Roleplay Team Discord Server (a server made by me and my friends) where you will be a part of our lovely (but quiet) community, and if you wish- Perhaps join the official Jeli Beans Discord Server "True Housers" if you wish for updates or just a fun time with an extremely friendly community- A place where most of us call home.
