"Highschool Sweethearts", a Cinematic [Minecraft Roleplay] Series.
Project Overview
✨ Welcome to my little abode! ✨
I'm Capt'n Gloopy, admin of "Comfy Zone Films", a Minecraft roleplay team that was founded in April of this year.
We recently published our very first film, "Lame Little Date", and we're so insanely excited to get into the thick of it with this much larger project!
"What's up with this project..?"
"Highschool Sweethearts" is a 3 episode long series, each episode estimated to run for half an hour.
We're following Preston and his journey through depression, working hard to live a slightly better life and reuniting with a highschool sweetheart he had to leave behind years ago.
"Cool! So.. what would be expected of me?"
- Casted voice actors will be sent one episode's script at a time, and they'll be given 2 weeks to record the lines for that current episode.
- We're accepting actors as young as 16, though almost all of these characters will be young adults in their early-mid twenties, so please no pip-squeakers.
- We'd love for you to have a clear mic with little to no background racket.
- We'll be operating in a team Discord server, so you've gotta have an account.
- Don't be a meanie pants >:(
"Great !! Anything else, or am I free to frolic?"
You're good to go!
When you submit your application, please include your Discord username so that I can get in contact with ya if you make the crew!
If you have any questions or concerns then please get in touch with us here, or you can shoot me your concerns on Discord! My user is "captngloopy".
Thank you so much for your time <3

Kathleen is a supporting character, Preston's very motherly mother. Super sweet lady, she's always ready to drop everything to help Preston.
- Voice: Kathleen is in her forties-fifties, so I would love for an actor a bit more on the "adult" side to play her (specifically so there's no obvious youngster voice cracks and the such).
Other than that, I have no preferences in regards to how high or low your voice is.
- female adult
(lightly shouting, a little worry behind her voice) “Preston..? I’m coming in, Preston. You have 5 more seconds to respond before I let myself in.”
(panicked, raised voice and speaking quickly) “. . . . I don’t know how long he’s been gone. I’ve been trying to give him as much space as possible like you recommended, but I went into his room an hour ago to offer dinner and he wasn’t there..!!! I haven’t seen him since yesterday, and I thought the quietness was just him enjoying the space..! I didn’t know he was GONE!! I don’t know where he could be, I don’t know how long he’s even been gone, I don’t - I don’t - .. (trail off)“
Nothing special here, since this guy only has like 5 lines or something.
- Voice: Any. I'll even change the character from "Gentleman" to "Gentlelady" if any girlies want this role.
(curious) “You alright, son?”
(regular tone) “You best answer your phone, sounds like you’ve got folks wanting to help.”
Preston is our protagonist, a young man doing his best to get out of his depression and to find some kind of purpose.
He's a sweet guy, but his rational thoughts have been clouded and he's been making some pretty poor assumptions lately. This will be his downfall if he's not careful.
- Voice: Preston is in his early-mid twenties, so I would love for an actor a bit more on the "young adult" side to play him (specifically so there's no obvious youngster voice cracks and the such). Other than that, I have no preferences in regards to how high or low your voice is.
- male young adult
(on the verge of crying, his voice cracks) “I don't know what to do.. I don't want to keep feeling this way..”
(excited) “The same goes for you!! Your eyes were familiar, but I couldn’t figure out why they were so.. (gets a little awkward) I want to say ‘striking’ but that would be an awkward way to put it.”
(hushed tone, a little congested cuz he was crying earlier) “..I really hoped you were still the same person I dated all those years ago. I’m sorry for getting carried away by the moment I imagined.”
Andi's the "sweetheart" in the title, our nonbinary royalty and a main character. They're a super understanding person and the biggest green flag around town.
Very emotionally intelligent but doesn't always pick up on social cues, which leads to some unfortunate misunderstandings.
- Voice: Andi is in their early-mid twenties, so I would love for an actor a bit more on the "young adult" side to play them (specifically so there's no obvious youngster voice cracks and the such).
Andi's nonbinary, AFAB (assigned female at birth), so I would prefer someone with a deepish feminine voice to play them.
- female young adult
- androgynous
(very slightly panicked) “Hey, take all the time you need to breathe and to bask in our air conditioner, I’ll be right back! Bacon is about to burn!”
(shouting from a distance) “AYO, WHERE’S MY LITTLE BLUE-BARRY? GET OVER HERE, BOY. COME TO PAPA.”
(serious and soft tone, trying to let him down gently) “..You were great when we were kids. I really loved your company, the memories we shared.. The time we spent together, the support you gave me when I was going through the death of my mother..”
Sophia is everyone's best friend, the term "social butterfly" was made with her specifically in mind.
She cares for those close to her in a somewhat harsh way, but she genuinely only wants the best for them.
- Voice: Sophia's in her early-mid twenties, so I would love for an actor a bit more on the "young adult" side to play her (specifically so there's no obvious youngster voice cracks and the such).
Other than that, I have no preferences in regards to how high or low your voice is.
- female young adult
(catching her breath for just a second. Calming down, no longer panicking) “Sorry..!! Sorry, I was trying to get dressed. I’ll help you find him, I know at least 2 of his usual spots. .. I’m going to hang up now, okay? Call if anything changes. Alright?”
(a little awkward) “Alright, anyway - (regular tone) I have a friend that’s looking for a job. Are you still hosting walk-in interviews?”
(stunned) “YO. (being playfully flirty) Calm down, beautiful. Let me take you out to a nice dollar-menu dinner first.”
Jass is one of Preston's good friends, she's a real homie and overall a delight to be around. Her natural nonchalance with everything might accidentally get her into some trouble, though.
- Voice: Jass is in her early-mid twenties, so I would love for an actor a bit more on the "young adult" side to play her (specifically so there's no obvious youngster voice cracks and the such).
Other than that, I have no preferences in regards to how high or low your voice is.
- female young adult
(a little confused) “You.. um.. Don’t look that old, though. Did you just happen to charm your young self into Preston’s mom’s life, or do you just look impressively young?”
(quiet and serious) “Yeah, that’s the perfect way to put it. We definitely understand why you didn’t want to involve us quite yet, and we’re more than ready to be there for you if you want us to.. (pause) - Hang on, I just had the words..”
(regular tone) “That water looks very drinkable, I want to get some weight loss worms. Preston, go down there and get me worms.”
Alex is a supporting character, a chill guy with a clean record of being a cutie patootie.
He has a tendency of casually throwing himself into adventures that could break a few bones, but he always comes out unscathed by the power of whatever god is looking out for him.
- Voice: Alex is in his early-mid twenties, so I would love for an actor a bit more on the "young adult" side to play him (specifically so there's no obvious youngster voice cracks and the such).
Other than that, I have no preferences in regards to how high or low your voice is.
- male young adult
(somewhat serious and somewhat soft tone) “I’m seriously so glad you’re doing better, man. What you described was so.. I wish I were more aware.”
(serious tone) “But we can’t push your ex into liking you back. If you find out they’ve moved on, then that’s the end of that.”
(deadpanned tone) “Do we have bad breath or something? Breath check me, babe.”
Barry's the embodiment of "fear of missing out", he also has ZERO anxiety. He'll physically shove himself into any conversation that doesn't include him, and he sneaks up on people when he's lonely (which is 24/7).
Long story short - he's hilarious to be around and a good person.
- Voice: Barry is in his early-mid twenties, so I would love an actor a bit more on the "young adult" side to play him (specifically so there's no obvious youngster voice cracks and the such).
Other than that, I have no preferences in regards to how high or low your voice is.
- male young adult
(dead-panned tone) “I’m about to scream.”
(dramatic and a little loud) “Your blue-Barry is SICK and TIRED of this treatment!”
(shouting from a distance, pretending to be angry) “Hey! How long does it take to do trash?! We’re twenty minutes behind!”
Nothing special here, since this guy only has like 5 lines or something.
- Voice: Any.
- female young adult
- male young adult
(apologetic, soft tone and confused) “I’m so sorry to bother you, ma’am. I’m looking for the hair dye but I can’t find it - did I get the wrong store? Do you guys sell boxed hair coloring?”
(a little confused but still polite) “Ah.. my hair’s a little crazy, huh? Haha, is that what you’re looking at?”
