Hero's Tale Rewritten
Project Overview
Hero's Tale: Rewritten is a project I've been working on for 2 and a half years now, following the story of a boy named Star. Imagine a world where the Thread of Fate dictates where your destiny begins and ends. For millennia, this process has remained undisturbed. Angels watch over the Earth, reincarnate into humans, fulfill their life's purpose, die, and repeat... As Angels, they are gifted powers to ensure Fate remains undisturbed. Until one day, a child with golden eyes is born... A child who should not exist.
HTR is one of my most ambitious projects yet, and I'm looking forward to working with everyone on it! Make sure to put any contact information in your auditions (preferably your Discord or email), so that if you get the role, I have a way to reach out to you!
When you are logged in, you can comment, add submissions, create projects, upvote, search open roles, and way more. Login here.
As it says, you will be one of the animators behind HTR. Preferred 2D animation, if you have a portfolio of previous projects or even short clips done in your free time, I'd love to see them.

The man behind the Demon Hunters, and the main antagonist of the series. Akuma manipulates his army of Hunters with charm and memory manipulation, making him seem like the good guy in their eyes.

(Talking to the main character with a calm and matter-of-fact tone) "Your very existence is so astronomically impossible, I cannot fathom a number to determine the chances. You've inherited something you shouldn't have."
(Also talking to the MC, getting into his head) "Come now. Don't pretend like your hands are clean. I give the vessels a choice. You chose incorrectly, and faced the consequences. Such is the way of life."
(Talking to one of the people in his army who seem a little too confident in their abilities) "Heh.. No. If you want to fight me for my position, by all means, you can try. But just know, I'd win."
One of the many, many Hunters in Akuma's army. However, he doesn't believe in killing Demons. In an attempt to overthrow Akuma, he joins up with Star (MC) and his group in order to take down Akuma once and for all. He uses a technique called Speech, which allows him to do many things with a single word (or sometimes 2 words) with a drawback.
He's also somewhat made fun of for looking and sounding almost like a woman.

(Once he's gained the trust of everyone, they go out to a beach and he offers to buy snacks for Star and blankets for everyone. He's taken aback slightly when everyone chimes in with what they want, so he responds to their requests slightly sarcastically) "I wasn't anticipating paying for the entire football team. But fine, alright. Root beer, Pockies, hot dog and candy, water, and Gfuel. At least Blake has some good taste, even if he may be trigger happy with that sword."
(After handing a demon a flower created from his technique, he talks in a friendly tone) "So long as I'm alive, my Bloom will be active. So you don't gotta worry about little things like water and sunlight. Put it wherever you want, and it'll be just fine!"
(Letting his true colors show to his former leader, Akuma, he snaps in anger as he realizes the terrifying situation he's in) "...You're nothing but a manipulative, pretentious, wannabe savior. Not every demon is a bad person. But you're so bent on gaining more power, that you throw that reasoning aside. You're nothing but a filthy hypocrite!"
Akira, the sociopathic (probably psychopathic) and every other -pathic you can think of creature (he's human, but really only in the physical sense). No remorse, No sympathy, just fun and games of invading people's souls and killing them without a second thought! Sounds fun, yeah? Well, we already have an Akira VA. However, he's a very busy person. So I thought it would be wise to get a backup in the event he isn't able to play the role/can't send in lines.
As this is a backup, payment would be given depending on whether or not you're needed for an episode. If things go well, you may not be needed at all, but it's better to be safe than sorry!

(After Star and Blake think they defeated him within the first minute of their encounter, Blake states that both he and Star may be stronger than the previous antagonist. Akira shows up behind them and surprises them) "Oh, I wouldn't say that. Definitely way stronger than me, though. Physically speaking, of course."
(Attempting to kill one of the characters, Akira forms a high-pressure beam of ki and shoots it through their chest. He misses their heart, leading to them collapsing and coughing out blood.) "Ooooh my! My mistake, I didn't hit a vital organ! You're probably in so much pain.." (Pause as he points at them, creating another beam) "Allow me to fix that~"
(Singing "We'll Meet Again" to taunt Star and kill his spirits in the final battle. His tone is very mocking as he thinks he won before the battle's begun) ""We'll... Meet again... Don't know where, don't know when...~" (Pause for a moment) "But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day~"
An overconfident child who just so happens to be a martial artist, fighting in Star's first tournament. He's purposefully written to be as annoying as possible, which will hopefully be reflected in his voice

(After Star blocks a kick and pushes him back to the center of the arena) "You thought that could stop me!? Well you were wrong! W-R-O-N-G!"
(As Star's circling him, trying to study his movements) "Hah! Trying to move out of my path, eh? That won't work on me!"
(After Star kicks him in the face, he loses all of the previous bravado) "Owwww! Hey, cheap shot! Mister Announcer, that was a foul!"
Very similar to James, he's an overconfident child who goes against Blake during that same tournament. He thinks he's much smarter than he is.

(At the start of the battle, he tries to get a free hit in) "Cmonnnn! Lemme at least hit you once!"
(Blake allows it, knowing the power gap is far too big for Luke to do any real damage) "Thanks! Idiot!"

(Seeing a 5 year old Star for the first time at her door, she's taken off guard at the fact he's crying and instantly clinging onto her) "I.. It's a kid.. He looks scared.."
(About a year after meeting Star, her mom is inflicted with a fatal, unknown disease. She's scared for her mom's safety) "Mom..? Are you gonna be okay..?"
