Here's Negan! - The Walking Dead Comic Dub Series By Psycho Cat Studios

Project Overview

The Comics In Question:

Here’s Negan:

Here's Negan is a stand-alone volume of The Walking Dead, featuring the backstory of Negan. The volume was initially separated and released into chapters consisting of four pages each, published monthly from April 27, 2016 to July 27, 2017 as part of Image+.

The final completed version was planned to contain a total of 48 pages, released in individual chapters and to play out over the course of a year. On December 7, 2016 in the Letter Hacks of Issue 161, it was announced that 'Here's Negan' would be extended to a total of 16 issues. A hardcover version, containing all chapters of the volume, was released on October 4, 2017 to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the comic series.

This comic does contain violence, strong language, and sexual scenes.

The Walking Dead:

The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic comic book series created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore – who was the artist on the first six issues and cover artist for the first twenty-four – with art on the remainder of the series by Charlie Adlard.

This comic does contain violence, strong language, and sexual scenes.

What I Do On My Channel:

On my YouTube Channel (Psycho Cat Studios) I create Comic Dubs with my team of voice actors. I have over 15,000 subscribers and it’s growing every day. We have dubbed 5 Volumes of The Walking Dead so far along with the complete series of Batman: Three Jokers. We also have two other projects in the works but The Walking Dead is our main priority. I also post clips and make edits of our Comic Dubs on TikTok to promote the channel.

What Am I Looking For?

I am looking for talented voice actors to bring these characters to life. Hopefully, my direction will help. I am not looking for impressions of the characters in the TV show. I'm looking for people who can discover the right voice for the character(s) they have. People who can give their own spin that feels right for the character. I am always open to suggestions and to people experimenting, as long as it benefits the performance and the character.

You audition for the character you think you can do well in. If you are given the role, you'll be given a list of the characters' appearances, the pages they appear in for you to record the lines, and an overview of the character to help you get to know the character (The overview will also be there in the characters audition spot down below). If you get the role, make sure to read the specific scenes your character is in so you can understand the characters' situation and know what lines your character has.

It’s not just the lines I want you to perform, it’s the sound effects that will be involved in the scenes your character is in. If you get the role I will explain it further but to sum it up: I want to make the comic come to life in the sound design and the characters.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE AUDITIONING:

Most of the characters in this mini-series will also be the same characters in our comic dub series of The Walking Dead. The character description will show the amount of issues that the character is in for both Here’s Negan and the main series of The Walking Dead. So if you audition for those characters, please be aware that you’ll continue on the role in our main series after you finish Here’s Negan.

I want dedicated voice actors that will stick with the project! It's a long series (193 Issues) and if you are given a big role, I expect you to stick with it.

Requirements For Auditioning And If You Get The Role:

You must be over 18 to audition. You have to have a decent microphone with little to no background noise. No humming/hissing off of electronics, no background hiss, and most importantly no one talking or playing music in the background. If there is a slight hiss in the background, I can work with that by adding noise reduction to the audio. For the auditions, I don’t mind you uploading MP3 files (I’d say that’s the biggest file CCC would let ya upload) but if you get the role I prefer if you export your audio as WAV files if that’s possible for you. If not then Mp3 is fine.

Another Important Note:

This is a passion project that we are dedicated to working on so this is a non-paid project. However, I will give you the proper credits in the end credits and the description along with adding any of your social media links into the description. I will always make sure to let you know about any upcoming projects on my channel and any I hear that are coming up on other channels.

Having fun is the main goal here! Thank you for reading and hopefully, you'll be interested!

Lucille is a main character in The Walking Dead. She is the wife of Negan.

Lucille is a very sweet and kind woman. Although she can often be annoyed with her husband Negan, she still cares for him very much. She usually acts as Negan's more reasonable side and also shares some of his humor.

  • Lucille (Annoyed but saddened) telling her husband he was stupid for breaking up with his mistress. With Lucille’s cancer diagnosis, she feels that Negan needs a woman who isn’t sick to satisfy him. You can see she is very self-conscious when it comes to being Negan’s wife. "Well… You’re not going to have that for very long. What’s wrong with you? Why would you pick the sick one?"

AMOUNT OF ISSUES (HERE’S NEGAN) = 1 Issue

Negan’s Mistress is involved in a very brief scene featuring sexual content (3 Panels). However, with the scene's content, there is no need to make any graphic NSFW type of sound effects. While I make every effort to treat such scenes with discretion and dignity, there is no avoiding the fact that some voice actors may have to portray sensitive or upsetting material. If this makes you too uncomfortable, please do not audition for this role. However, for those of you who do, I am always open to discussion.

Negan's mistress is a character in The Walking Dead.

It's unknown what happened to her when the zombie apocalypse began.

Not much is known about this unnamed woman's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that she had sex with Negan. After telling her that his wife has cancer, they broke up.

Jeremy is a survivor of the outbreak in The Walking Dead.

Jeremy seemed to be a polite, intelligent, and friendly young man. He is very respectful when talking with Negan despite his vulgar nature. Despite being only thirteen, Jeremy already appeared to be getting accustomed to the apocalypse as he quickly understood how to deal with walkers. Unfortunately, Jeremy shortly dies to a walker, causing him to be the first of many people Negan couldn't save.

Nothing is known about Jeremy's life prior to the outbreak, except that he accompanied his mother to the hospital because something was wrong with her heart. He also had a crush on a girl in living in his neighborhood.

When the outbreak started, Jeremy's mother was sick and turned, however he could not go through with putting her down.

During the early stages of the apocalypse, Jeremy runs past Negan instructs him to run as well. He is later seen by Negan being cornered by zombies. Jeremy is saved by Negan and is asked to put down Lucille. Later they continue together with the purpose of getting out of the building, while bonding, but Jeremy finds his own end in the hospital parking lot when he is attacked by a zombie.

Sherry is survivor of the outbreak and later an antagonist in The Walking Dead. She is one of the original members of the Saviors, and was the wife of Dwight before she ended up "marrying" Negan and was the first of many women Negan takes on as his wives. After Negan is defeated and Dwight, the new leader of the Saviors, leaves the Sanctuary, Sherry becomes the new leader of the Saviors during the war with the Whisperers. Under her leadership, they plot to take over Alexandria after the community is devastated by a vast herd of walkers. This ultimately failed when she was accidentally killed by Rick Grimes when the two attempted to create a peaceful resolution to the conflict. She served as the secondary antagonist of Volume 27: The Whisperer War and the primary antagonist of Volume 28: A Certain Doom.

Nothing is known about Sherry's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that she was married to Dwight.

Sherry is introduced to Negan by Dwight. She initially distrusts him but gradually warms up to him, as evidenced by her flirting with Negan.

At some point after the Saviors discover the Sanctuary, Sherry agrees to become one of Negan's wives (being the first one to do so), with the justification that it would make life easier for herself and her husband, Dwight. However, she underestimated how much she would miss him after the separation, so the two continued to have an affair behind Negan's back. After Negan found out, he presumably gave her the same offer he would later give to Amber: going back to Dwight or staying with Negan. Sherry chose the latter, resulting in Dwight being punished by having his face burnt with an iron. She later convinced Amber to become one of Negan's wives as well.

On her initial introduction, Sherry is shown to be a weary yet kind-hearted individual, looking out for her friends (such as Amber and Mark) and trying her best to maintain the peace. She also appeared to be invested in the emotional well-being of those around her, as seen when she comforted Mark over Amber's disappearance.

Following the end of the war between the joint communities and the Saviors, however, Sherry's true personality gradually starts to surface. Even though she was free of Negan, Sherry left Dwight for another man once more, greatly attributing to his self-doubt that ultimately caused him to resign as leader of the Saviors. Though Dwight initially believed Sherry became one of Negan's wives to better both of their lives, it is implied that she only did this for her benefit. Negan also describes Sherry as an opportunist, a sentiment that is reinforced in Here's Negan, where it is implied that she started her affair with Negan much sooner than previously thought. As leader, she starts exhibiting signs of megalomania, partially caused by being forced to submit to Negan. Though Rick tries to reason with her, she attacks him for what she perceives is him trying to control her, leading to her death.

Amber is a survivor of the outbreak in The Walking Dead. She is a member of the Saviors, the former girlfriend of Mark and one of Negan's former "wives".

Nothing is known about Amber's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that she may have been in a relationship with Mark before the apocalypse began, though this is highly unlikely given that Mark doesn't appear in Here's Negan.

Amber is a severely traumatized woman. She was initially part of a group where she was frequently used as a sex slave, but was saved by Negan. This is most likely part of the reason she decided to be one of Negan's wives. However, Amber is later shown to fear Negan, shown after her affair with Mark is revealed. She later joins Eugene and Carson in escaping the Sanctuary without hesitation.

In the early days of the apocalypse, Amber joined a group in which she was sexually assaulted and basically treated as a sex slave. Her group later meets up with Negan, who gave her his jacket to warm her up. Her leader told Negan he could have her, inviting Negan to sexually assault her. Negan, outraged by his offer, kills the group leader before forbidding the rest of the group from raping ever again.

At some point after the Saviors discovered the Sanctuary, Sherry convinced Amber to become one of Negan's wives. It is unknown if Amber was in a relationship with Mark before this, or started an affair with him afterwards.

Carson informs Negan that Amber has done something wrong. Her friend, Sherry, tells Negan that she knows she has done wrong, which is having slept with Mark. Negan offers Amber a choice between going back to Mark and working for points or staying with him and living a life of luxury. Tearfully, Amber chooses the latter, and is present when Negan punishes Mark by burning his face with an iron. She tries to comfort him, but is stopped by Dwight, who warns her that she would only be making things worse.

As Amber is walking with her boyfriend Mark, they both discover Carson leading Eugene and his crew out of the Sanctuary. They approach Carson and ask if they can go with them, she says to Carson "Just take us with you." In Issue 124 Amber is in the back of the van, being driven to the Hilltop Colony. As the van is shot at by a Savior and the engine shuts down, Amber yells that the roamers are getting closer. To escape the van she follows Eugene's plan and witnesses Donnie being pushed off the roof. Afterwards, she and the crew rest upon the roof until sunrise.

Amber was at the fair with Mark, when a bald woman lured her and other survivors away from it. Amber was later decapitated, and her reanimated head was placed on a pike. Rick discovered this and was horrified.

Amber's reanimated head was later put down by Dante. According to Lydia, their bodies were most likely skinned.

Tara is a former antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in The Walking Dead. She is one of the original members of the Saviors. Unlike most of the female Saviors who became workers or Negan's wives, Tara decided to join his army. During the Whisperer War, she is convinced to join Sherry's rebellion against the other survivors.

Nothing is known about Tara's life prior to or as the outbreak began. Sometime after the outbreak, Tara finds a group lead by Dwight.

On the surface, Tara appears to be a vicious and volatile woman with a quick temper. She is highly aggressive and responds to conflict with violence and threats. Despite this, she also knows when to be pragmatic, as she attempted to retrieve Vincent's horse to prevent any potential conflict with the other communities. Tara also voices her concern about not helping the other communities, as she doesn't want the Saviors to appear as an enemy.

Tara is seen talking to Sherry when Negan and Dwight arrive to camp. Later, Negan orders Tara and John to secure a point outside the overrun hotel where the group can meet up. Tara runs with John and finds a clearing outside the hotel. The group regain their stamina in the clearing after escaping the hotel. Tara asks where Negan is, when Negan suddenly bursts outside of the hotel, being dragged down by zombies. She helps saves Negan by shooting the zombies. Tara asks Negan if they're going to stay at the hotel, but he says they'll find a better place. Tara, alongside the group continue travelling after the hotel. They come across another group and join up with them.

Tara is first seen with John, attempting to capture Jesus. Tara confronts him, threatening to cut off his testicles while brandishing her knife. Jesus kicks Tara, John, and another Savior down, but she manages to whack him on the back of the head with her knife, knocking him down. Tara is about to kill Jesus when Dwight intervenes, stating that Negan wishes to question him.

As Dwight steps down from his role as leader and leaves the Sanctuary, the other members of the Saviors make remarks as he packs. Tara is seen along with Mark and Sherry where she comments that the group is better off without him, unhappy with his decision to leave.

When Vincent arrives at the Sanctuary to ask for aid against the Whisperers, Tara threatens him and refuses to help. They then take Vincent's horses and force him to walk back to Alexandria. Sherry later asks Tara to go and find Vincent before he is able to arrive back at Alexandria, realizing that what they had done could start a conflict with the other communities. Tara attempts to find Vincent, but he had already been found by Heath. Heath tells Tara to leave after she refuses to assist in defending against the Whisperers.

John and Tara watch from afar as Alexandria gets overrun with walkers. "This is going to be a hell of a show" John says to Tara. They decide to wait until the Alexandrians have killed most of them, and then go to help to clean up what's left.

The Saviors, including Tara, arrive at Alexandria and get into a fight with Dwight, Laura, and Heath. The Saviors then take the three of them hostage and take them to Rick. The Saviors say that they don't want to be part of his network of communities anymore. Rick asks if they are trying to become their enemies, but John responds that they are just trying to send a message. Tara and the others then spot Negan, and while they are distracted, they are tackled to the ground by Dwight and Laura and are taken hostage. Sherry then leaves to talk with Rick inside, leaving Tara and the other Saviors outside. Much to Tara's shock, she receives news that while the two leaders were discussing, Sherry attacked Rick and was killed by him in self-defense. John doesn't take the news well and threatens Rick with his gun. Negan steps in and calms down the situation, demanding the Saviors to pack up and go home. Tara is not seen or mentioned in the 23 year time-skip, leaving her fate unknown.

John is a former antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in The Walking Dead. He is a members of the Saviors, serving as the second-in-command for a time, before he became the de facto leader after Sherry's demise. He served as the secondary antagonist of Volume 28: A Certain Doom.

Nothing is known about John's life prior to or as the outbreak began.

Early in the apocalypse, John joined a small group of survivors which included Amber, though it is unknown if John approved of or participated in the sexual exploitation/rape of the women in the group. The group meets up with Negan's group in Part 13. After Negan kills their leader, John asks how he expects them all to watch him murder one of their own and then fall in line behind him to which Negan responds giving John the nickname 'Big-Balled Mother Fucker'. John stayed with Negan and the Saviors, who eventually discovered and moved into the Sanctuary. At some point John suffers a serious injury to his right eye, causing him to go partially blind.

Under the rule of Negan and later Sherry, John was initially like many of his fellow Saviors, a brutal, ruthless, and aggressive bully. Following the All-Out War, John along with the other Saviors become disillusioned by Rick's leadership and want out of the alliance between communities. He goes along with Sherry's plan make a plan to take over Alexandria. As Sherry's right-hand man, John is very loyal to her, often acting as her muscle.

After the accidental murder of Sherry at the hands of Rick, John initially resorts to violence and aggression. However, John proves he can be reasonable as he eventually stands down after Negan reasons with him and the other Saviors. Negan states that although John is a "prick", he is more than just a follower and can think for himself.

Possibly inspired by Negan's words, John steps up and becomes the de facto leader of the Saviors. Since becoming leader, the Saviors are shown to be thriving more than ever. Although John still holds a level of rudeness and snark, he seems to have turned into a much calmer and reasonable authority figure, at one point seen mentoring a young Savior. In contrast to before, when he and the group wanted out of the community alliance, when given the opportunity to ally with the Commonwealth, John has a much more open mind.

John is first seen with Tara attempting to capture Paul Monroe. John asks Paul to surrender, stating that he remembers him from the Hilltop and that he was nice, so he promises not to hurt him if he comes peacefully. Tara then threatens that she will cut off Paul's testicles while brandishing her knife. Paul kicks John, Tara, and another Savior down, but they hop to their feet, attempting to gain control of him. Tara subdues Paul, and John watches as she prepares to kill Paul, but Dwight intervenes, stating that Negan wishes to question him.

After the roughly four year time skip, John is still alive and well. While Vincent tries to convince the Saviors to help others on the upcoming war. John and Tara are resistant to do so as they now have no alliance with any community after Dwight left. John tells him to leave his horse at the Sanctuary. Tara says the Whisperers will come after them after they take down Rick's crew, in which John does not care, wanting them to come.

On Sherry's orders, John ambushes Heath, Dwight and Laura, nearly chocking Dwight to death. He is later involved in a standoff between the Saviors and the Militia, but stands down when Sherry agrees to negotiate with Rick. He and the other Saviors even help with clearing out the walkers around the Safe-Zone, in Andrea's honor. When Rick reveals Sherry is dead, John and the other Saviors train their guns on him and the Alexandrians, but they are talked down by Negan, who knows John never wanted to go to war with the communities. John then leaves with the other Saviors.

Now the leader of the Saviors, John focuses on increasing food production to get better trade terms with the other communities. He oversees the other Saviors working in the gardens and has a heart to heart talk with Christopher when he is informed about Rick and Pamela's arrival. Though initially somewhat hostile, John quickly warms up to Pamela and is very interested in joining her proposed trade network, surprising both Dwight and Rick. He welcomes them to stay at the Sanctuary as long as they like. John is not seen or mentioned in the 23 year time-skip, leaving his fate unknown.

We have people out there breaking their backs to chop down trees. Lumber, security, metalwork--and eventually our excess of crops. The more we can offer, the better off we are. You remember Negan's way. When everyone was scared--and no one was happy. His way was to take, and that made enemies. Our way is to give, and that makes friends. Our way is so much better than Negan's. Nobody wants to go back to that.”

This camp survivor is an antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in The Walking Dead. He served as the primary antagonist of "Here's Negan".

Nothing is known about this man's life prior to or as the outbreak began.

Although only seen briefly, this man is shown to be very arrogant and aggressive. Initially he seemed to be reasonable, as he is very friendly with Negan shortly after meeting him. However, it's revealed that this man is a rapist who sees women as "merchandise" for his own use and uses the apocalypse as his excuse. After Negan gives Amber his jacket to keep her warm, this man gives Negan permission to have sex with her, much to Negan's disapproval. The man quickly becomes angry with Negan and fights him, seeing him as a threat to his leadership. This leads to the man being brutally beaten by Negan's bat and becomes the first of his many victims.

This survivor is first encountered when he and his group run into Negan and Dwight's group. Negan welcomes the group in to stay but this man draws his gun on Negan, not initially trusting him, they start talking and tensions die down. Later that night the two groups sit around a campfire together. When Negan gives Amber his jacket to keep her warm, this survivor tells Negan he can "try the merchandise", implying permission to use Amber for sex.

Being strictly against rape, Negan lectures the man on keeping his humanity and treating women with respect. This causes the man to attack Negan and push him into some barbed wire. Negan grabs his bat and hits the survivor around the head. He then proceeds to repeatedly beat the survivor's head until he is unrecognizable, killing him.
