Voice Direction: Calm, composed, and deliberate. Should carry a sense of control and quiet menace beneath the surface. Think of a voice that can sound almost comforting and logical, but with a subtle edge that reminds you this is a predator in disguise. At times, he should shift into a colder, calculating tone—razor-sharp, detached, and clinical. Other times, he allows flickers of emotion to slip through, showing a younger, more vulnerable version of Dexter.
About the Character: In this AU, Dexter exists only as Harrison’s Dark Passenger—a manifestation of the voice inside his head. He is both mentor and manipulator, a guide and a haunting presence. This Dexter is younger, slightly more emotional than the real man, but still rooted in precision and ritual. He represents Harrison’s inherited darkness, urging him to follow the code while constantly testing his morality.

(Warm and Gentle) "Your making me proud Harrison"
(Calm, guiding) "Steady hand, Harrison… the blade only works when you control it."
(Calm and Cold) "Remember the first rule of the code... Don't. Get. Caught"
Voice Direction: Strong, fiery, and unfiltered. Deborah’s voice should carry intensity and bite, with a sharp edge of sarcasm. She curses (a lot), gets emotional easily, and balances toughness with occasional moments of vulnerability.
About the Character: In this AU, Deborah Morgan is still alive and serving as a Senior Detective in Miami Metro Homicide. She is fiercely loyal to her family and deeply protective of Harrison and Lily Anne, though she often clashes with Harrison’s cold, calculating demeanor. As the series progresses, Deb slowly begins to notice troubling similarities between Harrison and Dexter. Unlike in the original story, she survives across all seasons, making her both Harrison’s strongest supporter and greatest threat. Her journey is one of conflict, loyalty, and moral struggle as she decides whether to protect Harrison or confront the truth about him.

Voice Direction: Warm, gentle, and maternal. Rita’s voice should carry kindness, empathy, and reassurance, like someone who always wants to believe in the best in others. She should sound grounded and caring, with a tone that feels safe and comforting, yet able to shift into worry or sternness when protecting her family.
About the Character: In this AU, Rita survived because Dexter killed Trinity before he could reach her. She is a loving mother and Harrison’s anchor to normal life, representing stability and compassion. Rita is the emotional heart of the story, a reminder of what Harrison is fighting to protect even as he struggles with his darker urges.

Voice Direction: Confident, youthful, and warm with an edge of sharpness. Lily Anne should sound like a young adult (around 20), reflecting both playful sibling energy and moments of deep sincerity. Unlike Harrison’s darker, brooding tone, Lily Anne is more open and emotionally expressive.
About the Character: In this AU, Lily Anne Morgan is the twin sister of Harrison Morgan, raised by Rita after Dexter killed Trinity and later passed away himself. Unlike Harrison, Lily Anne does not carry a Dark Passenger. Instead, she reflects Rita’s compassion, optimism, and resilience. While Harrison works at Miami Metro and wrestles with his inherited darkness, Lily Anne mostly stays at home, providing a safe space and emotional anchor for him. Their twin bond is unshakable, but her light and his shadow create constant tension in their relationship.

Voice Direction: Teen to young adult (16–20 range). Astor’s voice should carry a mix of guarded independence and lingering vulnerability. She’s older now, more outspoken, with a sharp edge when she feels defensive. Beneath that, there should still be traces of warmth and the pain of her past, especially when speaking with Harrison or her family.
About the Character: Astor is Rita’s daughter and Harrison’s older sister figure. In this AU, she’s grown into a strong-willed young woman, fiercely protective of her family and skeptical of the world around her. She often clashes with Harrison over his choices, but her bond with him is undeniable. Astor represents resilience, independence, and the struggle of growing up in the shadow of trauma.

Voice Direction: Teen (14–17 range). Cody’s voice should feel genuine and approachable, with a tone that leans more quiet and observant than loud or commanding. He should sound like someone thoughtful and a little reserved, but with warmth and loyalty beneath the surface. When pushed, he can reveal a sharper, determined edge.
About the Character: Cody is Rita’s son and Harrison’s younger brother figure. In this AU, he’s growing into his own person—more reserved than Astor, but deeply loyal to his family. While he doesn’t always voice his emotions, his bond with Harrison is strong, and he represents the quieter, steadier side of the family dynamic. Cody is the grounding presence, balancing Astor’s intensity and Harrison’s inner turmoil.

(Warm and Encouraging) "Harrison, you’re doing excellent work. Keep trusting your instincts they’re sharper than most of us give you credit for."
(Authoritative and Firm) "Doakes, calm down. We need precision here, not brute force. Everyone follows procedure, or no one leaves this room satisfied."
(Calmly Intense and Persuasive) "Listen carefully… this isn’t just about the rules. It’s about protecting the people who can’t protect themselves. Make the choice you know is right."
Voice Direction: Deep, commanding, and authoritative. Doakes’s voice should radiate discipline and control, but still pack that trademark intensity. As a Lieutenant, he’s not just loud and explosive—he’s strategic, sharp, and capable of cutting someone down with either sheer volume or an icy, calculated tone.
About the Character: In this AU, Doakes survived and rose through the ranks to become a Lieutenant in Miami Metro. His suspicion of the Morgan family hasn’t gone away—in fact, it’s sharper than ever. Doakes is both a leader to his detectives and a relentless hunter of lies, making him a powerful force that constantly shadows Harrison’s path.
