"HAPPIER" A Lantern in the Snow Film

The soft and warm cotton fluff in Cotton Cookie's dough granted her a heart so warm not even a raging blizzard could scare her off. The way she handles her flock of cute wooly sheep ever so gently with her tiny lantern in hand can make anyone feel at peace! Having a lantern in Cotton Cookie's land of constant snowfall is very important: not only stray sheep but also Cookies lost among the dreary white hills depend on it.

Cotton Cookie first appears in the story "Lantern in the Snow". Cotton Cookie is the good friend of Sherbet Cookie, who is afflicted with a mysterious illness that keeps him bedridden. Cotton Cookie visits him every day and brings him news of the outside, optimistic that Sherbet Cookie will be able to recover despite his worsening condition.

When Sherbet Cookie disappears from his home, Cotton Cookie immediately goes out in search of him. She sees him in the blizzard alongside the "Frost Witch", but the two disappear before she can catch up to them.

It's up to her to find Sherbet Cookie and the cure to heal that poor cookie.

Somewhere amidst endless snow stands the lone castle of ice. In its halls of perpetual twilight dwells Frost Queen Cookie, the sovereign of winter itself. Like a fairytale queen, she dazzles with regal magnificence, yet her icy gaze leaves your soul cold and dreary, like tundra after a relentless blizzard. Her Cookie heart with all its mortal hopes and passions is long but frozen, all but one: her adamant will to accomplish her mission. A mission of utmost importance to the existence of the world. Ages might pass, but the castle of ice will remain and so, will Frost Queen Cookie, the guide for the myriads of Life-bearing snowflakes.

Frost Queen Cookie is a mysterious and aloof Guardian of Nature. For all her cold attitude she is merely keeping up with the cycle of Life, as she took Sherbet Cookie away because his time had come to be one with Nature. She is also not complete without some sympathetic traits, as she felt sorry for Cotton Cookie when she lost her friend as it reminded her of her own friend who was saddened when she had to leave.

Frost Queen Cookie appears to be the most diligent of the elemental Cookies when it comes to maintaining the cycle of Life Energy in the world. This devotion to her task, however, tends to have her neglect her more personal needs, instead remaining steadfast at her post and seeing visitors only when they arrive at her castle.

This poor cookie always wanted to travel around the world. But due to his unknown illness. He can't go anywhere other than one place. His friend "Cotton Cookie" regularly visits his home to bring supplies and keep him company. During one of her visits, she greets him cheerfully and recounts the events of her day before more hesitantly asking if he's alright and still feels cold. Sherbet Cookie admits that he does, explaining that he can't even touch a glass without covering it with frost. He seems resigned to his illness and even suggests that it may be his time for the Frost Witch to take him away, referring to the stories of their village.

Cotton Cookie dismisses the idea as nothing but a scary story for kids, promising that even if the Frost Witch does show up, she would protect him from anyone and fend them off with her staff. Sherbet Cookie briefly laughs this off before growing serious again, saying that he occasionally feels strange. He describes that the colder he feels, the stronger the snow, and that he can hear somebody calling for him from far away only to see nothing but endless snow each time he tries to follow the voice. He wonders if the voice belongs to the Frost Witch, to which Cotton Cookie strongly denies it again and pleads that to not think about the Witch. She reassures him that he's only tired of staying at home and promises that the two can go wherever he wants once he feels better. Sherbet Cookie thanks her for being such a good friend, though once he is left alone once more, he is called again by the mysterious voice. So, he went out to follow the voice. It's up to Cotton to find out where he has gone.
