H3RO - Minecraft Animatic Series
Project Overview
Hey you - yeah you! Hi, there! My name is Makayla/Icey, the lead writer and animator, and welcome to the Casting Call Hobby of H3RO, an animatic series based around the ever-so-popular (and ever-so-overdone) game Minecraft - except this time, it has a little twist on it (and by little, it’s basically not even Minecraft at this point). You see, in this Minecraft-based universe, there are two types of people: Players, just your typical, run of the mill people, and Heroes, those who have a supernatural ability (things like fire conjuring, water manipulating, telekinesis, etc). This series follows the story of Icey, an awkward, timid girl, as she makes her way through the ups and downs of her new life. After residing in the Nether for over five years, she returns with Brine, her father - the Overseer of Chaos, to Crafters’ Refuge. When she struggles with finding her new Overworld legs, her life gets turned around when she meets Faye and her ragtag-gang of rambunctious Heroes. Over the course of the series, Icey discovers that life has more to offer than a lifetime of loneliness and cynicism.
For this project, I’m looking for a team, rather a family, of people who are hardworking, patient, and have a genuine interest and desire to be apart of the series. So yeah! [Disclaimer]
Some characters that are listed won't be introduced into the series until the latter half of the season. If you are cast as one of these roles, you will receive early dialogue to get an early idea as to how your character speaks - I would prefer to have the roles established early so that any scripts can be modified to suit your preferences, as to not make recording lines too much of an inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.
Also, please have a Discord in which I can reach you, be at least 13 years old, and be aware that some of the people who are apart of this project (including me) are very weird and use a lot of profanity on a daily basis.

Faye is a girl who befriends Icey when she first arrives at Crafters’ Refuge. She is Mae's younger 'sister' and was raised up by her for a majority of her life. She's into fashion, singing, dancing, and also performing. Although she's pretty dimwitted, naïve and can be catty at times, she's bubbly, optimistic, hyper, encouraging, and just likes to put smiles on people's faces by making them laugh (even though they laugh more at her than at her jokes).
Voice-wise, I imagine Faye to have a high-pitched and energetic voice to match her hyper personality. Also, note that she is a very fast speaker and has quite a bit of lines in each episode.
(Normal) “Hi! The name’s Faye. I may be basic, but I have a heck of a time being it!”
(Breaking, Dramatic Voice) “I still have so many things that I want to do! All the shops I want to visit, all the concerts I want to go to, and all the dreams I had for the future are about to be squashed underneath his… his… CALVIN KLEIN SHOE SOLES!”
(Upbeat tone that descends into a sinister one) “Well, to start of our glamorous tour of this even more glamorous town, we can go to the shops, the capital, the shops, the cafes, the shops, and where all the bands perform all their… heheheh… concerts… heheheh…”
Sydney is a catgirl (a Miaunx) who lives with Mae and Faye and has been doing so for quite a few years. She's the very knowledgeable bookworm out of them all and never seen without a book in her hand. She's not much of a people person - usually snappy, sharp, bitter, and a smile hardly appearing on her face - but she does have her little moments where she lets her nicer side come out.
“I answer to terms such as ‘Sydney’, ‘Genius’, ‘logical’, etcetera.”
“Would you shut your blabbering, idiotic mouth? Stop talking about me as if I’m not here. Your stupid little acquaintance doesn’t need to know every little detail about us! Now you and Miss Miscreator can go screw off for all I care.”
“It’s not as if anyone here is oh so joyed to have you here anyway…”
Gyne is a British transgender girl who lives with Faye and Mae and has been doing so for quite a few years. She is very athletic and loves competing in competitions that involve track, martial arts, or both at the same time! She is very friendly, loyal, and always has her friends’ backs no matter what.
Regarding her voice, I picture her to still have a slightly deep voice and for her to have a London British accent.
“Faye, you’re the one who invited her over, so you can be the one to get stabbed at the front door!”
“THE EMBODIMENT OF DEATH AND DESTRUCTION IS STARING US DOWN ON OUR FRONT DOOR STEP! DON’T TELL ME THAT IT’S FINE!”
“D-Did you just call him your dad. Y-Your telling me, he’s your father?”
Mae is a young vampire woman who is the head of the house in which Faye, Gyne, and Sydney live in and also Faye’s older “sister”. She’s basically the mom of the friend group, but in her spare time does her best to protect the hostile mobs that infest their town. Personality wise, she is very calm and collected, creepy, but still is very nurturing and protective (especially over Faye).
For her voice, I picture her to have a deep’ish, very monotone, slightly olden, voice.
“I just finished my early winter cleaning and I don't want the house to get all messy…”
(Angry) “How. Dare. You. Insult. A. Guest. In. My. House? Do. You. Not. Have. Manners. You. Barbarian?”
“That’s quite some talk coming from the person who attacked him with a sword. Besides, you deserved it -- speaking ill of his daughter, not to mention his... wife, do you honestly not hear yourself when you speak?”
Diamond is a British girl who is the leader of the underground part of a kingdom called The Hive. She leads the people and works so that one day they can all be free and have a life on the surface. She encounters the the main cast at a UHC tournament and is rival teams with them. She is very strong, athletic, and willing to fight and use intimidation to get what she wants. She is very blunt and can be aggressive and temperamental, but she is very loyal to those who she cares about and is willing to do anything to make sure they are safe.
Voice-wise, I imagine her to have a slightly deep voice and a British accent.
“Hey man, you wanna go to KFC or somethin’.”
“Oh? Well… you never know with me. I could be here, or here, or even here, and you’d never know when I could come up behind and stab this knife through your little chicken throat.”
“No, we’ve come way too far and I’m not about to lose to some haughty Overseer daddy’s girl.”
Preston, the son of TBNRfrags, is a southern dude who is an old used-to-be best friend of Icey. He and Icey have history together, and behaves in a hostile way towrads her. However, he soon makes an effort to mend their broken friendship after being blackmailed by Faye. He is athletic (he usually participates in track and PVP), loves musicals, and playing his guitar. Personality-wise, he is flirty, witty, humorous, and full of Southern charisma.
For his voice, I imagine him to have a smooth voice and a Southern accent (optional).
“Oh really now? Well how would you like it if I showed this to everyone in this here school?”
“Icey Marie Aku, I promise you with the lord himself as my witness that this pecan pie does not have rat poison inside of it. Besides.. that’s a pretty lame way to go.”
(Shocked) “D-Dad...”
Genesis is a girl in the school the main characters attend who is constantly harassing Faye, Icey, and Sydney. She is very manipulative and will emotionally and mentally hurt people whenever they don’t live up to her expectations. Furthermore, she is very rude at all times (to keep her kindness-driven powers hidden from her school crowd), but will try her best to show her true self to those she’s actually close with.
Voice wise, I imagine her to have a slightly high pitched, constantly taunting, snide-sounding voice
“It’s a shame really, you try oh so hard to get people to like you, hang out with you, make.. hah, friends with you, but for some reason — it is just too hard for your simple mind to comprehend that no one could possibly tolerate being around you, well except for your freak-show sister.”
“Aww, what’s the matter? Did I make the poor baby upset? Hahaha. Guess you really are a toddler after all.”
“I don’t want to hear anymore of your stupid, childish, and insignificant excuses. I think I would be better off dead then to ever trust you again.. you disgusting cretin — have fun being by yourself with this… freak.”
