Giving a voice to one of the characters in this heart-wrenching journey is an experience you certainly won’t forget <3
Freedom is a passion project in the form of an PMV/audio drama designed to be easy to understand yet deep enough to force the viewer to think and rethink what they have seen. It is ultimately a dark fantasy. Its confusing and “uncanny” storytelling style intrigues viewers into wondering what this story really has in store. It won’t be a pretty ride, that’s for sure, but by the end, all of the bloody pieces will come together to make something even more beautiful than how it began.
⚠️This story WILL CONTAIN: violence (blood & disturbing injuries) and su!c!de. If you are not comfortable seeing or respectfully mentioning these topics, this is not for you.

Solo is the main character of the series. He definitely has the most voice lines and will be featured in every chapter. His role requires skill and commitment to the project. He is prone to be emotional, especially since the plot revolves around his obsession with his female Visitor, Rescue, and his fascination and terror of the Outside World. He learns about the world through the influence of the Visitors, namely Rescue and Fear.
I’m not sure how she would react to hearing about his “friend” doing such horrible things, even if it was just a dream.
(Dread) The tally marks. Those are all of my mistakes.
(Panic) No! I can’t! Nothing leaves this house, and nothing comes in. Nothing can be replaced. Nothing can be changed. Everything must be perfect!
In Acts II and III, Light will play a lead role alongside Solo. He is the image of a compassionate warrior, quiet yet strong, a man with terrifying power who uses his power for good. His ultimate goal is to put an end to Fear’s tyranny. This will require commitment to Freedom. You can expect him to be featured in every chapter going forward.
(narration) On the Peak, Darkness and Prism were best friends, until Prism had his son, Light. Light took up all of Prism’s attention, and Darkness became jealous. Years passed and nothing changed. As Light grew up, Darkness became mad with jealousy. Then Prism had another son. This was the last straw. Darkness vowed to torture the children as punishment for Prism’s neglect towards him.
(emotional) You’re alive. I can’t believe I’ve really found you. I’ve been looking for you for so long.
You *know* that’s not his name. No. *You* gave him that name, you monster.
Surrender is only in one scene—with only 5 lines—but it is one of the most climactic and heartbreaking moments in all of Freedom. She is a mere minion of a higher dark power. Unable to interact with humans directly, she has one goal: to convince a Host to kill him or herself. Her voice is slow and almost monotone or mechanical in nature.
You don’t seem surprised to see me.
You misunderstand. I am not here to take your life.
(almost pleading) I can help. I am here to help. I AM HERE TO HELP.
Teller is the brave mother figure to Spark. Her screentime is brief, but powerful. Her family has been martyred, and she is trying to protect her remaining family from even more harm. Her dialogue contributes to the reveal that Fear has a key weakness.
(To her child) Everything’s gonna be okay. Follow me.
You don't kill for knowledge. You kill for pleasure. No matter what I say, you are going to kill me, because you want to, and nothing is going to stop you.
If the last thing I do before I die is make you angry, I will die happy.
Spark is Teller’s young child. They can be any gender and don’t last long on-screen. Their fate serves as a heart-wrenching example of Fear’s cruelty and sadism.
(Nervous) Mum, what are we hiding from?
(whimper) What is happening?!
