What is it?
Fortunes of Barovia is a Visual Novel set in the world of WOTC's Curse of Strahd module. It is a gothic horror adventure with dark and mature themes. The main character travels through the demiplane of Barovia within multiple lives, forever trapped in the land of the mists. Will they escape the misty lands of the ancient or be forever cursed to stay?
Awesome! How do I audition?
Here are a few rules and guidelines to take note off:
- Research on the characters is encouraged but not needed.
- Have a clear mic and little to no background noise.
- Make sure you can stay in this project and commit long-term.
- Discord is REQUIRED. (discord for dms: kira.chi or join the discord server: https://discord.gg/RHH8WgHZka)
- Have fun with it! Experiment with the characters all you wish :)

Ismark Kolyanovich, son of Kolyan Indirovich, sometimes known as the 'lesser' to his deceased father. He is a man who has always lived in the shadow of Kolyan and wishes to prove himself to the people of his hometown.
He has a mid to mid-deep soft masc voice, he is sometimes serious to a fault, but oftentimes very friendly. (Barovian accent is optional but preffered!)
His little sister, Ireena Kolyana has always been his go-to person. He speaks a lot more lightheartedly when talking to her.

Ireena Kolyana is a brave, young girl. She is the youngest of the Kolyanovich family and is the little sister of Ismark Kolyanovich.
Despite her sisterly love for Ismark, she has found herself in a recent struggle with Strahd von Zarovich, the vampire count which has recently caused the death of her father, Kolyan Indrovich.
She has a gentle fem voice with a lot of determination. (Barovian accent is optional but preferred!)

Victor Vallakovich is the son of the burgomaster/town mayor of Vallaki. He is often sad and stays in his family house attic trying to find a way out of Barovia.
He used to love experimenting until his lover and childhood friend, Stella Wachter, was caught in a magical accent. She reportedly 'went insane' and was locked in her room.
He has a teenage, raspy masc voice. He sounds mostly unmotivated and sour. (Barovian accent is optional!)

Stella Wachter, daughter to Lady Fiona Wachter, has her mind merged with a cat's after an experiment by Victor Vallakovich. She is smart and likes making witty comments.
Before the experiment, Stella interested herself in the dark arts with Victor. She truly enjoyed Victor's company and doesn't blame him that she was locked in a room by her mother.
After the cat's consciousness was removed rom hers, Stella has a strong and bubbly mid to mid-high voice.

Hehas been hellbent on a cure for his son, and leaves most of the church's work on the MC. He often prays to the Morninglord to find a cure for his son.

Vargas Vallakovich is the father of Victor and the proud burgomaster of Vallaki. He loves to boast and make things about himself.
Vargas Vallakovich originally arranged a marriage for Victor and Stella so he could have some of the Wachter's influence and people. After the accident however, Vargas is saddened by the fact of Stella becoming 'insane' but is keen to find a bride for Victor once again.
His command of Vallaki is a pretend utopia and often pretends Strahd doesn't exist.
