“Flowers won't Bloom in the Winter” is an animated series project. The story is mainly about the daily life of our main protagonist, Shae, and their life as a college student. Along with their friends, acquaintances, and roommates who don’t really like them. The story is for children - teen entertainment, so it will be PG.
This project will be edited with a character animation app, so it isn’t drawn frame to frame. The animation will be done with green screen and keyframes.
This project is a medium to long time commitment. So far my team and I have the pilot episode's script complete (And are currently working on episode 1 script), though the script so far will be sent immediately after casting. For each episode, you will have 1-2 weeks to send your lines in.

Voice Actor
Shae is our protagonist. They are our enthusiastic, sometimes flirty, and very clumsy lead. They are open for a challenge, though often backs down last minute. They work at the local coffee shop. They are in their second year in college, studying to be a florist.
Species: They are a bear.
Age: They are 21 years old (I selected teen earlier up because they have more of a teen-ish voice when it comes to pitch)
Voice Pitch: Has a medium-high voice, reference voice I suggest is Sock from Welcome to Hell (That is the closest voice to what I’m imagining here).
Extra Information: Shae struggled in high school between choosing to be a basketball player or a florist. Shae is nonbinary, and at one point has a crush on their dorm-mate, Saturn (Though the crush went away about a month or two later). They also have a little sister.
-Sarcasm in their voice- "PLEASE, as if that would be any trouble for- GAH!!"
-With an annoyed tone- "It's not my fault I'm clumsy! I was born with it!"
-With an understanding, but slightly annoyed tone- “Nuh uh, I'm not a ‘she’, I'm a ‘they’, thank you.”
Voice Actor
Saturn is Shae’s dorm-mate. She is a chill, laid back person. Constantly bored with her surroundings. She has a girlfriend, Clara, and mainly only shows a lot of interest when she's around. She's in her first year in college, studying to be a therapist.
Species: Saturn is a cat
Age: Saturn is 20 (Again, I select teen because she's close to a teenager, and sounds like a teenager)
Voice Pitch: A medium pitched voice. The reference voice I suggest is Marceline from Adventure Time.
Extra Information: Was a total tsundere in high school. Planning to propose to Clara in a couple of months, once they graduate their current years in college (Though it won't be shown on screen due to it mainly being from Shae’s POV). Had an older sister who died around 6 years ago.
-With a bored tone- ”Just because I'm your dorm-mate does not mean we are all buddy-buddy.”
-With a flushed, sorta excited voice- “Hey Clara! Haven’t seen you in forever,”
-A bored voice- “Mars, can you shut up. Its not that funny.”
Voice Actor
Mars is Saturn’s older brother. He is pretty chill as well, but also has the art of sarcasm on his side. He is studying in college to be a chef and own a food truck.
Species: Mars is also a cat
Age: Mars is 24 years old (You know what- everyone is labeled as "teen" due to sounding like teens,)
Voice Pitch: Medium pitched. The reference voice I suggest is Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club.
Extra Information: Mars is gender fluid, and loves anime. He had an older sister who died around 6 years ago.
-With a interested, almost enthusiastic, voice- ”If I'm your roommate's brother, do I get free coffee?”
-With a bored, unenthusiastic voice- “Its not my fault my little sister hates you, that's your problem. Besides, she hates everyone, don’t take it personally.”
-With Boredom in her voice- “I ask that you use she/her pronouns, please.”
Voice Actor
Clara is Saturn’s girlfriend. She's a kind, not too good with words, person. She's a second year in college and wants to be an indie ukelele singer.
Species: Clara is a Wolf
Age: Clara is 22
Voice pitch: Clara has a medium-high, to high voice. The reference voice I suggest is Kiyoko or Yachi from Haikyuu!!,
Extra information: After a car accident, she had to get surgery to remove the bottom half of her right leg. If things don’t work out as a singer, Clara is planning to work at Shae’s future flower shop.
-With a cheerful, soft voice- “It’s such a beautiful day! Isn’t it, Saturn?”
-With a worried tone- “Are you okay? You really took that fall hard…”
-With a sad, disheartened voice- “A-are you sure? Please… Don’t do anything reckless this time..”
Voice Actor
Ale is a sheepish, shy guy, who often visits the coffee shop the Shae works at with his two friends (Nick and Kai). He is in his first year in college, studying botany. Thought doesn’t know exactly what to be in the future yet.
Species: Ale is a buck (a type of deer)
Age: Ale is 20 years old
Voice pitch: Ale’s voice is medium to high. The reference voice I suggest is Kristoff from Frozen.
Extra Information: Ale really like tea. Mars, whom he ran into at one point at the coffee shop, suggested Ale watch Ouran High School Host Club at one point (Which he did, and loved).
-With a worried and nervous voice- “Let’s just listen to reason guys… Please?”
-Murmuring at the beginning, to a happy tone- “Crap.. Uh- let me re-say that. Hi! I'm Ale,”
-With a happy voice- “I’ll have a London Fog Tea Latte please!”
Voice Actor
She works at the local coffee shop with Shae, often helping them out with keeping their job. She's helpful when it comes to working, and a perfectionist. She's studying in an art major , looking to buy an art studio in the future.
Species: Maya is a human
Age: She is 23
Voice Pitch: A medium to medium-low voice. The reference voice I suggest is Sapphire from Steven Universe.
Extra Information: Before working at the coffee shop, she worked at a clothes store. And before wanted to be a painter, she wanted to be a professional flute player. She also has a little brother, who often visits the coffee shop she works at.
-With a teasing, but fed up voice- “One of these days you're going to get a death free card, and still end up dying.”
-With a happy voice- “Happy to have you working here, Ana!”
-With an annoyed tone- “You’re lucky I help you keep your job after you waste so much coffee!”
Voice Actor
Kai is a “life of the party” teen. He comes from a pretty rich family. He's fairly oblivious to what's going on most of the time, and is again, the life of the party. He's studying business.
Species: Kai is a human
Age: Kai is 19
Voice Pitch: His voice is medium-high to kind of high. The reference voice I suggest is Lance from Voltron.
Extra Information: He has a little sister.
-With an annoyed voice- “That's not what I meant.”
-With a worried yell- “I’M TRYING TO STOP YOU FROM DYING YOU IGNORANT POTATO OF A BEING!”
-With a bored voice- “You know what, when you die from hypothermia, I will be the first to say ‘I told you so’.”

Ana transferred to the college on a sports scholarship about a year ago. She's trying to get a job at the local coffee shop. She's hardworking but sarcastic, often relating to Mars when he comes to the coffee shop.
Species: Ana is a human
Age: Ana is 19
Voice Pitch: Ana has a medium toned voice. The reference voice I suggest is Amity from The Owl House.
Extra Information: Ana is a Muslim transfer student, moving to Hollow Heights College from Washington. She loves movies and cats.
-With a slightly nervous voice- ”So, what's the salary here again? And how long are shifts?”
-With faked shock-ness and dramatic-ness- “Gasp! (Yes she actually said “gasp”) Its horrible!”
-With a cheerful tone- “See? This guy gets the art of sarcasm!”

Nick is a musician. He has a music major in college. He currently lives with his mother and has a girlfriend who is traveling overseas.
Species: Nick is Human
Age: Nick is 19
Voice Pitch: His voice is medium-low. The reference voice I suggest is Tamaki Amajiki or Kenma Kozume from Boku No Hero Academia and Haikyuu!!.
Extra Information: For some random reason, he always and only wears shorts.
-With a bored tone- “So, I’m wearing a coat? That’s good enough for me.”
-With slight interest in his voice- “There's a music club there?”
-With a sarcastic tone- “Ha ha. You are such a funny person,”
