Film and Media Analysis (Narrator)

Film and Media Analysis (Narrator)

Project Overview

One of the things we are looking to do in the future is analysis and theory videos. Not unlike Game theory, EmpLemon, Schafrillas and Super EyePatchWolf. Discussing thematic elements among other things in extreme detail.

We are looking for a charismatic voice to narrate these videos.

What we need from you:

-A good quality microphone

-Very little to no background noise

-A good work ethic and ability to meet deadlines

Compensation:

Well, we're just starting out, but if our videos meet any kind of success we will make sure you are fairly paid!

You can really experiment with this one. While this is a narrator role, it certainly doesn't have to sound narrator-esque in the traditional sense.

Energy and the emphasis of words are important but this can even be a character within a universe. We haven't established what kind of specific theme we want to make for these videos, so conceptually you could be the deciding factor. Think about how you would want these words delivered to you and really show us your stuff!

Multiple takes are welcome and feedback is there if you want it. Have fun!

  • The creator Vince Gilligan puts a large emphasis on re-occurring color to establish an underlying theme. For example, when Walt wears green, he is doing something that comes much more from his self, or rather for himself. Breaking Bad does this in almost every scene. Playing with color, as if color is status, thus all of it's character's priorities lie in an undeniable subconscious fact within fiction.

  • It's the scene where after a rough day of detective work, Eddie Valiant is back in his apartment, finishing up some legwork and winding down from the day. To this day, with all the movies I've seen in my life, it remains one of my favorite scenes in cinema. Seriously, I mean everything about this particular scene is insanely beautiful. It runs a little under 2 minutes but it establishes so much and expands upon what we already know in such a flawless way, that I can't help but applaud everyone involved and the more I think about THIS scene, this SCORE, the set dressing, the acting, the camera work, the lighting, the more I appreciate the movie as a whole.

  • Ah, history! We are reminded of the limitations yet the success of animation in logos.

At the time:OOoooh I see movies with Logos. Logo means good time for fun human.

Presently:It's the 21st  century now and I'm definitely bitter. Logo means, you better deliver you big ol’ nasty studio!
