Disclaimer:
I, Daniez, the creator of this casting call, am not the creator/director of the actual project. I am only a voice director/organizer for it. I only created this casting call because I am more familiar with the website than Zach (the director of this game) is. Most of the things below this text are said by Zach or other project members with a bit of paraphrasing. Now on with what you come for!
Introduction:
Welcome to Fila and the Heart of Niwen! This casting call is for a playable demo of a fan-made project meant to act as a third entry into the Ori franchise, telling a new story from the ending of Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
Lore:
The story of this game takes place right after the ending of the second game in the Ori franchise (Ori and the Will of the Wisps), following the spirit Fila on her journey into the unknown depths of Niwen. Insidious cave-dwelling monsters are stealing the light, and it’s up to Fila to find and restore it before Niwen falls to decay once more. But it’s not just the light that needs rescuing; several other spirits are trapped as well, lost within the long-abandoned caverns below Niwen’s surface.
Rules for Auditioning:
Auditions will close on February 1st at midnight (EST), so make sure to send in your audition before that time! (Ignore what it says on the project)
Make sure to include your Discord username in the description of your audition as it is our primary form of communication!
You must be 13 years or older to partake in this project as per Discord TOS.
Two or three takes on each line is preferred!
Don't be afraid to do a bit of improv while auditioning for Cheri, make the character your own!
We are looking for clear and quality audio. No fans, chatter, or other background noise please!
If you get casted as Cheri, we expect to work with you long-term as she will have a bigger role and more lines in the full game.
About The Creator:
Hi, I’m Zach, the creator of Fila and the Heart of Niwen. I’m 19, autistic, and a 3D artist/animator with experience in Blender and Unreal Engine 5. After joining the Ori discord community, it inspired me to start creating my own fan-made third Ori game. I originally started this whole project all by myself, with not much more than some simple gameplay elements and combat. But, after I released a video showcasing a demo of the game, others from the Ori community started to take interest. From there I was able to bring programmers, composers, artists, and writers on board, to the point where it feels like it’s a full studio production rather than a passion project.
