The Wild Card and protagonist of the story and a newcomer to the city of Ryūō. They traveled there for the year to escape from their bigoted parents and hope to become more independent while attending Sakurai High. While Mie is nonbinary, they are biologically female. Our concept of their ideal voice is akin to Tara Strong's Raven (albeit less sarcastic).
My parents refused to use my proper pronouns and… they got loud and angry when I tried.
If I’m gonna die, I wanted to say that you guys have been really good to me for the brief time we knew each other. Thank you… I won’t let your kindness go to waste.
Help me out, Cornish Jack!
The voice of Rosalina in this series should ideally be able to replicate Laura Faye Smith’s from the modern Mario games since 3D World, but performances based on Mercedes Rose and Kerri Kane’s takes on the character are acceptable.
Make sure to forgo the echoes of Rosalina's voice when not doing Shadow Rosalina.
I think we should follow the balloon… girl… whatever she was. Any objections?
These are called kompeitō. Whenever Mom and I would go to visit Lubba, we’d make these beforehand. They’re gummy things. Mr. Dragmire says food takes on a healing effect while in the Subspace Dimension… did I understand that right?
And you! How dare you pretend that O’Riley is family! How dare you pretend as if everything is okay! How dare you pretend as if you’re not still that same little girl waiting for Mama to come home!
The voice of Yoshi doesn’t need to exactly replicate Kazumi Totaka’s from the Mario series, but should still give off the same happy-go-lucky energy that Yoshi is known for while still having the dignified tone of a Velvet Attendant. Perhaps try throwing a bit of Andrew Sabiston’s Yoshi from the DiC cartoon in there?
Don’t worry, we’re gonna help you a lot on your journey!
Show your power, O chosen one!
Having strong Personas with good skills will be crucial to fulfilling your destiny. If you accept my challenge to fuse a certain Persona with a certain skill, I’ll make it worth your while!
The voice of Samus can aim for replicating any English portrayal of her across the Metroid series, whether that be Jennifer Hale, Alesia Glidewell, or Jessica Martin.
Make sure to forgo the echoes of Samus’s voice when not doing Shadow Samus.
... ‘s fine.
What would you know, pretty girl?
(Shadow Samus) Give me a reason to give a shit, or your lives are forfeit.
The voice of Fox can can aim for replicating any English portrayal across the StarFox series, such as Mike West, Joe Zieja, and Jim Walker.
I didn’t hear “that name sucks”. I heard them ask what it means.
You didn’t review the kids’ information, so this isn’t your fault. Look here - in the additional information section, they put “Will do whatever I have to do for a living wage”. The kid’s just a teenager, and under gender, they put “other”. Connect the dots, man. And be careful about pronouns.
Easy, kid. It’s just a cup of coffee.
The voice of Falco can can aim for replicating any English portrayal across the StarFox series, such as Bill Johns, Ben Cullum, Mike Madeoy, Dex Manley, Mark Lund, and Jacob Craner.
See, I told you nobody thinks it sounds cool.
Wait wait wait wait WAIT. You’re living at Walmsley’s shithole? And you’re a minor? Ugh, he’s probably overcharging you, too! Fox, can’t we do something about this?
I’ve been sitting at that desk all day! I’d like to do something where I don’t have to stay seated for another few hours!
Like in Smash, we’d prefer both Ice Climbers to be voiced by the same person, with high pitched voices replicating Sanae Kobayashi’s performance in the series. We’d also like both Climbers to have distinct voices that play well off of each other.
Make sure to forgo the echoes of Popo and Nana’s voices when not doing their respective shadows.
Popo: Ohhhh… Mr. Dragmire, we know you didn’t want us coming down here, but you’re out of… milk…?!
Nana: Well, yeah, of course I’m scared about that… look where that got us, though. We pissed some magical copycats off, and now they wanna kill us!
Popo: Listen, sis. If you ever want to talk about this sort of thing, I’m always more than willing to listen.
Nana: That doesn’t matter right now! Thinking that we're just gonna drift away out of our own volition? That’s what Mom means when she says something is *diigis*! Even if our parents moved to opposite sides of the *planet*, do you think I won’t try to find any sort of way to fight to be at your side forever? Because I will! Even if I have to cross an entire *mountain* for it!
Shadow Nana: Maybe Dad won’t move out too far and stay in Ryūō, and we’ll see each other at school... or maybe Dad will go gods-know-where and we’ll never see each other for years!
Shadow Popo: The separation will build up resentment towards Mom and Dad, so you’ll probably want to move far away for college, and by the time you two see each other again, maybe you’ll be totally different people!”
