Epic: The Musical Cover

Project Overview

I am Oliver, a young Voice actor and singer who wants to cover the entirety of Epic: The Musical with friends and like-minded people. Even if you don't know the musical and are interested, check it out a little and audition if you like.

We are not looking for exact matches to the original musical, so feel free to audition even if your voice isn't similar to the original.

Gender swaps are possible for Aeolus.

Please audition for as many characters as you wish in separate auditions.

Please stick to the song choices per role, no vocal effects (except for Polyphemus) and strictly no AI.

You can sing with or without the backing track.

All parts will also be expected to sing for the ensemble.

You will need a decent microphone and sound proofing, as well as the BandLab app, though you can audition with any software.

16+ only, but 18+ is preferred. No gender switches.

    If you did not receive a DM from me, then I'm sorry to say you have not been shortlisted. This by no means you were a bad singer, it just means you weren't exactly what I was looking for. But congratulations to all of you anyway.
    Some of you who have been shortlisted will also see I requested you attempt other roles during our interview, so make sure you prepare those a little at least.

  • Change of Plan

    There's been a slight change of Plan. I have reviewed all auditions and am preparing to send out messages. However, if you were not shortlisted, you will no longer receive a message, as there are too many of you, and I can't write that many messages., However, if you were selected for 1 or more roles, the ones you weren't selected for will also be told to you.

  • Final Update maybe?

    Hello friends.
    I am going through auditions today (If I can't finish it'll extend to tomorrow). You can expect an answer before Thursday at worst, but hopefully before Tuesday or Wednesday.
    If you are shortlisted, you will receive a DM from me on CastingCallClub (so keep a lookout), we will then move on the the Interview phase, a simple, fun interview to get to know each other and so I can tell if you truly are the best fit for the character/s.
    If you are cast, you will then join the discord server, where I will create your role/s.

    You may receive multiple messages if you auditioned for multiple characters, so if you didn't get one, check for the others.

  • VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE

    Hello Wonderful peoples!!

    The audition deadline is closing in, just 4 more days to go. So I am updating you on what will happen after this. Auditions will still technically be open until I can review everything, but hurry up if you want to audition, in case a role gets taken before you get the chance.
    After review, I and my co-director will decide who we want to shortlist. If you are shortlisted, you will receive a private message from me on CastingCallClub, in which I tell who which character or characters you have been shortlisted for, and ask for your discord so that we may organise a simple and fun interview to get to know each other and decide if we want to proceed with you. This is not a serious interview, so don't worry about it and just be yourself.
    If cast, you will then be invited to the discord server where you will be given your roles.

    If you are not shortlisted, I will try and send you a message, but with the amount of people who auditioned, I may not be able to, for which I apologise ahead of time if that does happen.

    If for certain roles, there are no auditions or no auditions fit what we're looking for, another casting call will most likely be submitted, however, smaller roles may simply be given to people who have already been given larger roles and feel like they fit.

    I will be reviewing all auditions next weekend, as I will not have time between Wednesday the 25th and Friday the 27th. So Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th will be review days! However, my co-director might not be available that weekend, so reviews might be on the Monday 30th (so if you don't get an answer on the weekend, don't lose hope).

  • Quick update

    Hello All. So far we've had many submissions and I can't wait to review them. 1st round of auditions will be reviewed mid/end June, with possible callbacks if I really like multiple submissions for the same role.
