Ensemble Stars! Iucidium [Ryuseitai English Cover Group]

Project Overview

Welcome to the casting call for Iucidium! 


This is a long-term cover group based around the unit Ryuseitai from Ensemble Stars! We will be focusing on making English covers of songs from their CDs. While we are focusing on covering Ryuseitai, we might expand to other units in the future!

I will be self-casting as Midori Takamine as well as helping out with translyrics. If you are able to understand Japanese or help out with lyrics, it would be very helpful! The roles available are:

☆ Chiaki Morisawa
☆ Kanata Shinkai
☆ Tetora Nagumo
☆ Shinobu Sengoku

Please note that cover group is basing itself on English covers!

Female voices will be preferred for this project though if you are male and still would like to try for this group, give it a shot! Please also note that if you sound similar to how the members sound in their songs, you will have a higher chance of being chosen. Ryuseitai's songs can be found on FRONTIERWORKS's youtube page! 

We plan to release a song about once a month though this may differ depending on the availabilty of the group members!

Animators, mixers and artists/sprite editors are also needed for this project so auditions for them will be open as well!

Rules for this project are:

☆ Before auditioning, please make sure that you are able to commit to this cover group! As stated before, this is intended to be a long-term group so be sure to submit your lines on time if you get in! This is unless if you have something crop up such as family emergencies, exams, etc.

☆ Please be nice to other people in the group and get along well!

☆ While you do not have to have a good quality mic, please make sure that your lines don't have any static in it! You can use programs such as Audacity to record and remove noises like that or search up other techniques online!

☆ Please either have or create a Discord account as that will be how we will be contacting each other! 

☆ Have fun! There is no point to having a group if the members aren't enjoying it!

Keep in mind that the deadline is March 3 so if you're interested, please submit before then!

Update: the deadline has been extended to March 22!

    So I was translyricing the song recently and decided to post the English chorus for this casting call as it didn't really make sense to have you sing Japanese for an English cover group. Still, feel free to sing in its original lyrics if that's what you're comfortable with but please do note that you will need to sing English if you get in! Thanks for your time! Chiaki has a very loud and commanding voice while managing to sound very friendly and happy.  His voice is of a more deeper range and is very energetic so keep that in mind!

Kanata has an airy and light feel to him, almost carefree like though it should be noted that his singing is quite bouncy. He has a higher range than the rest of the group with a puka puka~ like tone.

Tetora sings with a confident edge in his voice and a slight squeak to it. He is mid-ranged while still maintaining that signature Ryuseitai upbeat quality.

Shinobu's voice is quite deep, somewhere between Tetora and Chiaki and is cheerful and energetic. He always has an upbeat feeling to his voice without much squeak in it and pronouces his words quite clearly and sharply.
