The work that will be done in this project is creating a pilot for my series on Youtube called 'Electrifying'. I am new to Casting Call, so please bear with me.
The animation will have 3 main characters that will need voices. 2 of the characters are the lead roles, 'Bolt' and 'Mike'. The other character is the energetic villain named 'Virus'.
Story for the pilot is not complete and is still being workshopped so for voice actors to actually start voice acting might be a bit away, but that's okay, submissions will stay open until I think the script and I, are ready and will start looking for VAs!
Feel free to send a submission and a few samples if you want!
This project is 0 budget so unfortunately the occupations will be unpaid, I do not expect top tier performance but at least one that is acceptable and has decent effort put into it. This is my first project so it will be a great learning experience on how to work collaboratively for me and potential VAs.
I will try my best to make the workload light and not stressful.
Extended the deadline because I feel like I need more time to prepare.
I have also added more info about Virus in his role description, I have realized I have left out some important information about him!
I added more information about Bolt's personality and how he acts, initially I must admit there wasn't much info to go off of.
I hope this can help people better understand the character!

Mike is a 16 year old teen and is a caring character for most of the series. He is simple minded and usually sees scenarios in 'black and white' but develops a more open mind and view on things throughout the series. Mike always goes towards Bolt (Other MC) for advice or help in a situation.
- The role's importance and personality/voice -
Mike is one of the main characters so he will have more lines in then most in the animation. Mike is a innocent character so his voice would be the same.

Any software that can record your voice well and can alter the properties will work.
A good free one is Audacity! I highly recommend.

- Brief Desc of Char -
Bolt is a smug, carefree 24-27 year old, seemingly taking nothing serious and always has some sort of backhanded comment ready. Bolt also is a tinkerer, meaning he creates many different gadgets and machines. He starts out caring about almost nothing, but Mike eventually changes this and Bolt gradually begins to see things differently and how to empathize with others.
- The role's importance and personality/voice -
Bolt is the main character alongside Mike, so he would have majority of lines in the animation. Bolt usually has a smug face on and constantly looks disinterested, he usually dismisses situations even if they are serious. Bolt likes to take the easier way out and has somewhat less morale value then Mike. He is up scene meaning he speaks his mind and likes to mildly annoy people, he doesn't do pranks or anything like that, he says jokes to make himself and Mike laugh and sometimes tries to provoke people he doesn't like.
Even though it doesn't seem like it, Bolt is very well educated on many things and is considered smart for someone his age.

Virus is a bright, red, eye guy! He is the villain of the story with a hatred towards Bolt. He came back from the assumed dead and wants revenge!
- The role's importance and personality/voice -
Virus, even though he has a burning hate towards Bolt, is very energetic and friendly but, gets VERY mad when people annoy him or get in his way. His short fuse is why he is so determined to avenge himself of what happened years ago. His voice is somewhat similar to Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls while having the same energy as Papyrus from Undertale. When Virus gets mad, like REALLY mad, he gets an unnerving glare and his voices loses all the energetic and playful personality, blinded by hatred, best way to describe this is by comparing it to 'AM' who comes from 'I have no mouth and I must scream'. Virus also inherits Bolt's intellect, allowing him to also create complex machinery.

This role would be making the background of the animation, for example, this pilot animation would have mountains, city, fields, urban areas.
