Eeveelution Squad Comic Dub Project: Main Chapter 5 Voice Casting Auditions (+Black Umbreon Recasting)
Project Overview
IMPORTANT PARAGRAPH BEFORE THE REST OF THE DESCRIPTION, READ IF YOU CARE:
Alright.. *sigh*... As hopefully, many of you are aware based on my late sudden but urgent announcement, that RogerDelmar, the voice of Black Umbreon, took his leave on the project, making him the third main character in need of recasting, as well as making Special Chapter 3 the ultimate episode he worked on.
During that production, at times, there were difficulties especially in terms on contact, but working with him, still, despite the times when he can be quite a handful and sometimes hard to deal with to be frank, it was still nice to work with from time to time, especially considering when he was committed to the role, whether or not whatever factors when he is in dillemma whether or not to bail, he stuck around... that is 'til then since he is facing challenges in his life to the point where it became too much. He may have left without warning, and as much as it is a pain and inconvenience having to try to find to live up to the voice and life he gave to the character... but I still wish well for his well-being, and his safety, to pull through the challenges of life he is currently facing. Thank you...
Sure, sure, I could hear you all saying it may not be exactly be like the same and such or something or those kinds of comments, but I could hope, like the prior two, if we be lucky, that I could find a close sounding talent to fill up the void of this poor lovable(ish) character... Especially considering as Black has his traditional whisper, I am hoping I could find a close match to near exact. And considering Black is a main, yeah, he's really needing to stick around. I wish you all good luck to those who will to attempt... please do your best, especially considering like the prior two, as I have a basis, I might be strict in terms of tone.
Now, with that outta the way, now with the rest of the details. And perhaps, yeah, the one you've been waiting for... qwq (halp)~
The penultimate opportunity in the squad to voice, the character anyone would die to try, that is... if you are to want to be a part or be him so bad... yep... I'm talking about... Axel the Eevee!!!

Anyways, as usual, by now it's routine that in case you haven't seen the original material, I would still recommend you read the original comic first that way you could understand how the context goes and know how the character should act, adding to that, to show support to the original creator~. It'd be well-appreciated.

Requirements would still be the same:
1. Make sure your mic has little to no background noise.
2. Voice must be clear and audible.
3. Put effort into the character you're voicing. Be like that character, have feeling.
4. Make sure that if you were being casted, be attentive on calls and stay in touch.
5. Feel free to try out different tones, accents, timbres, etc. on how you interpret the character.
6. Have at least have a Discord account and let me know through comment or message that way it'd be easy once I get casted since the dub will be hosted on my Discord server. Those who will be casted will receive a message in either here of their account for a special invite. An additional requirement however to follow under Discord's new Terms that the casted must be over 13 in order to comply.
7. At least be a good sport... avoid causing a fuss out of overobsession when you didn't manage to get the role considering the selection is currently few for now, sure... and as I am NOT the creator, I have no idea if future characters would debut in the following chapters or whatnot, especially whether they be extra, minor, supporting, or main... so basically, I don't wanna see threats or hate out of this, pls? ;w; I know you all want these characters so bad, but yknow the hardest choice of a voice director/host is I gotta have to pick one most favored somehow... Just know, there'll be more opportunities to come eventually.

(Additional Note: To the VAs who already had a part on the main cast, reauditioning for an additional character in case to play is an option, especially if in case there's a lack of auditionees, though the judging would still be as usual. ^^;)

Black doesn't talk much and getting into trouble. He tends to be quiet and isolated. He can get annoyed easily and prone to irritation, especially if he feels lied to. He never mentioned to anyone about his family. During the events of Special Chapter 3, Black lost his parents to wild Pokémon when he was 3. After that, he lived with his brother, Frost which is 5 years older than him. He started to hate explorers and rescuers ever since that day because they couldn't save them in time which led to the loss of his parents. About a year later, he lost his brother when his brother protected him from wild Pokémon raid. He evolved a few months later when he found a messy book that his brother wrote before he's gone. Later on, he was asked by Pearl Espeon to live with her and the others.
Recommended Tone: Pessimisstic, emo, kind of a little raspy and deep with a hint of sarcasm. You know, dark stuff. This is the one role where you are welcome to sound depressing yet still make sure you act and not sound so disinterested, totally deadpan and tired. While sounding kinda sarcastic, make sure expression is not thrown out the window. He also has a unique signature whispery tone whenever he speaks, which is one important factor. DO NOT FORGET THE WHISPERY TONE!!! Also, based on the prior recordings, he sounds somewhere within the medium-to-semi-high pitched range.
For reference in case to make sure to remain consistent and faithful to the original voice, here's the link to the original voice line samples from the former voice actor in Chapter 1 and Special Chapter 3 (And the second lines, sure, it's in his Eevee voice, but in this case, for the sake of audition, it's more preferred if the Umbreon voice is applied (aka, not just the normal voice, but with the WHISPER too... pls? ;w;):

Axel is a shiny Eevee, son of Bolt Jolteon and Rin Vaporeon, and a cousin of Pearl Espeon. He is 4 years old, and he is Sunshine's best friend. He is more outgoing, playful, and likes to play as much as Sunshine does. He tries to get along pretty well with his friends and family. Though some peers may have made fun of him due to his fur color, *ahem* Racist. *ahem*, he still tries to make new friends whilst he could at least. According to creator PKM, he's kind and friendly, but often shy at school. Even so he's not afraid to express his feelings.
Recommend Tone: In my opinion, I imagine him almost having a similar-like voice to Miles "Tails" Prower, and/or Charmy Bee from Sonic, or Fuyuki Hinata from Sgt. Frog, as long as he at least sounds like a young boy. A hint of cuteness would also be cool at least to apply to the voice, like Sunshine is, as long as the tone of a young boy could still be heard. Apart from that, if there are any interpretations that could perhaps sound good for the character, which may make it more or less ideal, is welcome is try.
