(EDITORS AND VOICE ACTORS NEEDED) SBR & JoJolion Fan Dub Casting Call 2022 [JoJo's Bizarre Adventure]

Project Overview

Welcome to our Casting Call looking for talents willing to work on our JoJolion Fan Dub, and for our updated Steel Ball Run Fan Dub after our very long break.

Some things you need to know when you audition!

  • A form of contact is needed when you submit an audition so it would be easier to reach you. In this case it would be best for you to have a discord as that is where all my contacting is done through. So, please list your discord in your audition!
  • You may audition for as many roles/positions as you may like. The more the merrier.
  • Please be respectful to others and understand that it's nothing personal if you do not get casted.

What exactly are we casting for?

  • We are currently looking for voice talents for new voices in our very successful Steel Ball Run & JoJolion Fan Dub. Since we have started to remaster our old work on Steel Ball Run and are currently working on a full JoJolion Dub, this means:
    • We are looking for voice talents in our Steel Ball Run Fan Dub.
    • We are looking for voice talents in our JoJolion Fan Dub.

(If you are looking to audition for a voice role, please make sure you have very basic microphone quality. Please no low quality audio, no background buzzing, and please no echo. If basically quality standards are not upheld in your audition we will simply not cast you.)

  • We are also looking for new editors willing to help us put together our videos together. (You can watch our latest JoJolion chapter dub for the quality standard we are looking for) This means:
    • We are looking for people who specialize in image editing.
    • We are looking for people who specialize in video editing.

(If you are looking to audition as an editor, we need individuals who can adapt to our quality standards. Most notably individuals in the JoJo content creative sphere who make leitmotifs, as their style of videos match a lot with ours. IF YOU EDIT ON MOBILE DEVICES WE WILL NOT ACCEPT YOU

Video Editors take our edited panels and put them together with sound effects to make our videos come to life! As a video editor you are usually assigned to work on half of a chapter, while the other half may be assigned to someone else. Depending on the chapter and who is working on the chapter, the amount you edit can always change. Just know that you are never forced into doing any more pages than you want. You are also given as long as you need to edit, or just a very loose deadline.

-What you need to apply-

  • A past piece of work that you made which could be considered somewhat similar to our work.
    • Example: leitmotifs, comic dubs, etc.

Image Editors take the base manga JoJolion and Steel Ball Run color scans and edit the images so our video editors may use.

Whether its cropping, editing the text or written sound effects, you will be told a clear director's vision to make sure you aren't lost. You will also be taught from us directly how to directly adapt to the way we edit our panels to make them translate into video.

-What you need to apply- 

  • List the photo editing software you use.
  • A past piece of work that you made which could be considered somewhat similar to how ours may look.
    • Example: Panel coloring, graphic design works etc.

Casting for people willing to play extra characters in the background are super important! And this is a role you can get casted for really easily!

This is for both guys and gals, doesn't really matter. 

Also don't be afraid to audition as an extra in worries that it will hurt your chances of getting casted as something else later. As long as you got the skill you're golden!

Tsurugi is the 9 year old child of Jobin and Mitsuba Higashikata, the youngest of the Higashikata family. He has been raised as a girl his entire life due to his family's fear that a deadly rock disease might infect him.

  • Want something to drink? I have a 'lil soy milk, and some cola.

  • You were peeking into our house from the meditation pine..... Are you investigating the Higashikata house?

    After the earthquake, the ground uplifted... And that vent broke apart, connecting it to the cave at the roots of the meditation pine. The "hidden cave"... Nobody in the family knows about it but me...
