Dying Light - G.R.E. Origins (Dying Light Roleplay/Machinima Series)

Project Overview

Hey there! I'm the Director & Lead Producer of a Dying Light Series that goes by "Dying Light Roleplay - GRE Origins ".

It's been over 3 years since we last worked on this project. However, we, the writers, have decided to bring it back to life, and continue where we last left off. We are currently in the process of writing the 2nd half of the story. So far, we have 4 episodes, and just a few more left to wrap up. We are looking for people that can take on the role of these characters, who have made, or will make a big impact to the story.


G.R.E. Origins is a Headcanon series that takes place 2 weeks after the outbreak. The G.R.E. deployed 2 Squads to Harran to retrieve back a stolen G.R.E. File. It also follows up on how Rais  (The Leader of a vicious gang called: "The Raiders"  took control of Harran and Old Town. It also goes back to show the events that occured before Crane had arrived to Harran.

We are looking for a few voice actors to help voice some major characters throughout the show, appearing in most episodes. There are many fantastic and pivotal roles available so please observe the roles studiously.

  • Conflicts: Infected; Lost many people close to him in the beginning of the outbreak.

  • Motivations: To stay alive by running out to get antizin; Wants his group to be safe and to not starve of hunger. 

Strengths:

Weaknesses:

  • Infected

  • Gets Seizures from time to time. 

Backstory: Alex headed to one of the Towers in the Slums when the outbreak started. He then found himself with a Big Group of Survivors and was assigned Leader of The Pact. He met someone named Unknown and made a new group with Great Acrobatics called The Runners. Alex elected Unknown to be his Co-Leader of the Runners. Together, they would run to retrieve supplies and Antazin for the infected. He was marked one of the first infected in the Tower.

  • Occupation: The Leader of The Saviors

  • Characteristics: Pissed, Prideful, Serious

  • Conflicts: His family died to the hands of the military; Blames himself for not being there to save them.

  • Motivations: Will do anything to kill those responsible.

Strengths:

    • Physical strength

    • Dedication

Weaknesses:

  • Temper

  • Little patience

  • Backstory: Committed to Federal Prison for murder. During the outbreak, Carson broke out & traveled home to find his wife and two children dead to the infected; He finds out that the military is responsible for his sister’s death.

  • Conflicts: Was forced into criminal justice during his teen years by his parents.

  • Motivations: Doing what is right and just.

Strengths:

    • Strategic thinker

    • Good judge of character

Weaknesses:

  • Black & White thinking- no in-between

  • Can be a bit extreme

Backstory: Nick was raised in a strict family and was pressured to go into a career of law enforcement. His upbringing instilled a strong sense of justice and that there should be no leniency for a crime committed. Nick was employed as an airport security guard and assigned to the very same airport as the Atlanta Incident.

  • Conflicts: At a very young age, his parents were killed.

  • Motivations: Always follow orders, no matter the consequences.

    Weaknesses:

    • Little sense of humor

    • Takes things too serious

    • Believes he’s always right

    • Backstory: 
      • As a child, James witnessed the death of his parents. He was tossed between foster homes and orphanages and grew to hold authority to highest respects. Upon turning into an adult and being kicked out of foster care, James eventually met an Army recruiter who offered him an opportunity to join the military. James immediately enlisted in the military primarily because he had nowhere else to go. Through the military, his respect for authority only grew stronger. After rigorous training James climbed the ranks and eventually became a commanding officer. After returning home from a long tour in the middle east he heroically led a makeshift team of civilians that prevented the terrorist attack known as the “Atlanta Incident”.

    Backstory: Before the outbreak, Dorian used to work with his father. His father used to play golf a lot, and would always have his “lucky golf club” around him. When the outbreak began, he, and his father set out to find shelter. One day, his father was killed by Rais’ men, and ever since then, Dorian set out to create a group known as the Saviors, who would be responsible for smuggling people through the Slums, and Sector 0 (Old Town.)

    • Backstory: Brecken is an ex-Parkour instructor who came to Harran with nothing but "Business Cards" in his pocket. He helped set up The Tower with a group of runners, (including Dallan, Ammed, Jake) as a Safe Haven during the outbreak. He is one of the Tower's Co-Leader, has strong beliefs and strength which people look up to. He helped Dallan and Jake get antazin for the infected survivors in of The Tower.
