Dying Blue
Project Overview
Dying blue is the unordianry story of Blue Valentine. A young genderfluid teen, who's going thorugh quite the ammount. He is consistantly riducled, left behind, and genreally just not looked upon very fondenly. That all changes, when he develops super powers and takes on the secret identity of LANCER.
Dying blue is planned to be an animated pilot. But it's still in very early stages of production. It's also planned to have a manga adaptation/Audio drama made. The images included in this casting call, are simply concept art for the characters, and their stories.
Note: Dying Blue is aimed at teenagers, and thus contains some mature themes, no adult scenes but some heavy topics are brought up.
Talent will be asked to sign a release form.

This is the lead for the every version of the franchise.
Lancer is very feminine/flamboyent. And presents femininly, however uses both he/him/his and they/them/their pronouns.
Blue is our genderfluid protagonist. Blue should have a feminine voice, but male,female and others may apply to play them. They should have a different voice for their Lancer form, and their normal form.
Lancer Voice: BEHOLD LADIES GENTLEMEN AND VARRIATIONS THERE UPON, we have a villain amongst our ranks!
Blue voice: look I...I don't know....I just can't....I can't...I don't know what you expect me to say. I'm not Lancer....I wish I was...I really do...but...I'm just....not him

Starshot/Ross is Blue's best freind and super hero companion. She generally does what she thinks is right no matter the cost. She doesn't know that Blue is Lancer. However she does her best to support both of them. No matter what. Despite her feminine aperance she is a bit of a tomboy. Loving video games and comics, and also being a tad bit rough around the edges. But still if you can crack her shell, she's carring uunderneath.
