(PAID) Dusklight | SCI-FI ANIMATIC
Project Overview
A lone star explorer finds herself in a planet of lost dusk. She befriends an abandoned android left by its once existing civilization, and together, the two unlikely companions bond over a pattern that keeps their worlds apart.
This project is based on a one-month deadline challenge; the final result will be a grayscale animatic with little to no color. When cast, you will have one week to turn in lines. (Extensions are offered if necessary)
PAYMENT: DISCLAIMER! This is not by an hourly rate. I wasn't sure how to put it on the site. This will be my first time compensating my voice actors. I will be a college student next year (gap year) so my budget for this project is unfortunately limited. I am free to negotiate with any means necessary.
Payment will be via PayPal. Payment rate is $2.00 per line (USD).

AUDITIONING REQ.

*ADDITIONAL - I am free to hear your interpretations of these characters and lines as well! This goes for improv and several takes, but keep it close to what's written already.

Jaimee Bennett is a solo star traveller who's out to "find the new" outside of her origin. From a place that follows a pattern for generation after generation, that abandoned discovery and science forever. Her studies point to a lost planet, and in her young intelligence, she's dedicated to finding out the history of what this change has done to this society, and prove once and for all that change is imminent, and difference creates life, not similarity.
She is an intelligent young lady. She's very reserved in her studies, and she prioritizes her goals over her own emotions or any other casualties. But between her dedication, the only fear she has besides the world is the darkness around her; opening her heart to guidance after years of none other than a follower of a pattern she's trying to eradicate.

Even if you lose your life in a world no one would find you, you would prefer to die in one that was once yours.) Home? The home I left is the home that doesn't believe in my studies. *My* life, *my* time, *my* purpose! If I go back with nothing? What does that prove? .... (dread; softspoken) What does that say about me?"

0011, also referred to as XI, was carefully constructed under H.E.N.A. before the star corrosion that sets its planet to forgotten dusk. It is a multipurpose device that serves to assist in warfare and medical retrieval. They were programmed under a defined pattern to help adapt to their civilization, but shortly after the corrosion, its creators and civilization vanished. The only evidence of the population is the android itself. It now forages through the dusky deserts and collects like it was trained to do, just in case its people come back.
VOICE: XI does not have an assigned gender in the story. It is an androgynous being and serves its vocal delivery through collected messages, so XI's voice should be neutral and informative.

"....I do not register 'sadness' or... 'pain'. The absence of my creators was only a change to my algorithm, not in my program. But if those are the symptoms to I'm subjected to.. perhaps, I do perform, what you refer to as,.. "loneliness."
