Project Overview

With permission from the creator of the series, Pookie Senpai

I am adapting the webtoon Down to Earth into a Comic Dub!

Down To Earth follows the story of alien girl Zaida as she learns to adjust to life on Earth and the human boy Kade who is just trying to stay afloat in life. After Zaida's ship crash lands in Kade's backyard, he takes her in and they become quick friends. Unfortunately, Zaida isn't acclimated to the way humans work so it's up to Kade to not only teach her how to "act human", but to provide for them as well.

We will be doing season 1 first and the project won't close but will update when necessary.

What I am looking for

  • No back ground noise

  • XLR/Treated USB Mic

  • ACTING. I appreciate a good impression but I really love acting and effort that gets put into a character

  • abcabc format

  • upload in mp3/wav format

  • DISCORD! (I won't be making a discord channel however I will be messaging certain people for episodes when they are needed so be ready)

  • the characters of Kade, Zaida, ethan, and cherri have already been chosen (there are a few more characters available but they will be added in when episodes come out)

  • HAVE FUN!

At a first glance, she can come off as a cold person who loves to embarrass others for a reaction, however, the reason for this is because she is very bad at starting conversations with others, once you get to know her, she is a well-meaning, supportive, loud and obnoxious friend. She is undoubtedly an extrovert being a friendly social talkative person always there to support and has a great time with people in her life, although, she is always forward of what she thinks, to the point where she can be insensitive.


Tone: medium, almost like a valley girl in a way

Voice description:

  • What? Is it because I'm tall or is it because I have vitiligo? (straight forward and to the point)

  • oh and--stop gawking at women like that (straight forward and matter of factly)

Stace is an outgoing person however he has no friends. He prioritized work and success for the majority of his life and now struggles to find personal relationships. Though extroverted, he can come off as intrusive at times. While he is mostly confident when speaking to other, he can get flustered on certain occassions. He is also bisexual. (probably canon.) Stace is somewhat paranoid, as comes out when he is drunk, mistaking Kade and Zaida for undercover police officers instead of making the right assumption that Zaida is an alien. He is not above blackmail but also has a kind heart (when Zaida's identification turns out to be fake, he offers her the job by paying her under the table, but also holds this information over Kade's head). Stace is essentially a foil for Delilah, as he is someone who initially appears to be a cruel manipulator but is actually a sweet person, while Delilah is basically the same two in reverse order.

  • you actually took my advice? you smiled at a customer!!! you even promoted our coupons!! (surprised, confused, and weirded out)

  • let's see... I've let you work here for a year now. And I could never get you to listen to me. (intrigued and surprised)

  • I would have done that sooner if I had known. Or maybe it's something else? (teasing and questioning)

Ellie is kind and very open person. She is easily upset by Kade, but still cares a lot for him, even after they broke up. Her personality shines most when she visited Kade's house to tell him she was moving.
