This might be real personal and probably tmi?
So just to be clear. This project right now is being made for free. I honestly feel guilty for even putting on the roles that, depending on if the project is a success and I get revenue or upload a kickstarter, so I can hopefully pay and keep my team. (Which if all does go well I am going to make sure those in my team get paid for each episode they work in.)
I really want to make this happen. Genuinely. I know my profile states I’m a currently a “employed” Thumbnail artist, but in reality that was just a too good to be true offer by some friend who had a dream to be a YouTuber. I probably only made one avatar drawing for him and his friends and nothing afterwards.
I’m currently job hunting (sales associate, retail, fast food.) Of course, where I’m from, it’s hard to get a job due to the lack of hiring rates here and some jobs contacting me literally months (or years) later about reviewing or rejection. I wish I was kidding.
I honestly felt like I wasn’t good enough or if there was something wrong about my resume. It sort of hurts me more because, I am bilingual, and I’ve been told as a kid to my teen age years, that I had a better chance on getting a job due to speaking more than one language.
I am pretty much stumped. I am scared of what will happen to me if never get a job or not able to get one in general.
This is my last hope of doing something with myself and create what I’ve dreamed about doing.
Not only do I just want to create a pilot and get a budget for a complete series, but I also want to bring others that had to go through what I’ve been through to have a job that they can enjoy. Have financial support and recognition for their talents and skills. I want my team to grow and hopefully help create more with me if all goes well.
Being indie might be it.
