Doctor Who: The 18th Doctor Adventures - Imperium Of The Daleks
Project Overview
WHO ARE WE?
Rift Point Productions is an amateur organization utilizing discord that attempts to take popular shows such as Star Trek and Doctor Who, and create our own audio spin-offs. With our unique storylines and dedicated team behind these productions, we aim to expand the universes in which these shows take place. We run our operations entirely off of volunteers, so although we wish we could pay our hardworking team, it is currently beyond our ability to do so.
INTRODUCTION:
This casting call is for our second episode of Doctor Who, "Imperium Of The Daleks". In this episode, The Doctor is whisked unexpectedly back to Gallifrey, along with his newly found companions Jesse Carson, Taylor Jordan, and the return of the infamous K9. Why are the TimeLords seeking the help of The Doctor? What danger lays ahead for The Doctor? What are "Daleks"? For this episode, 7 voice actors are needed to play the roles of major, minor, and extra characters. Some may be continually used throughout the planned season, and for others, this will be a minor appearance.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
-Recording quality must be clear with little background noise.
-Once assigned to a role, weekly practices will be held every Sunday to make sure everyone understands their lines clearly. These weekly practices are non-debatable, so find the time to attend.
-If inactive at any time during the duration of the project, you will be warned, and if you continue to be inactive, it will result in your role being replaced.
-We use Discord as our main platform, so you must have an account to continue to participate and access the scripts and other information.
-Be respectful to everyone! We all are volunteers who utilize our talents and passions to ultimately benefit the project, so be mindful of what you say!

Daleks are emotionless, beyond their rage upon screaming, "Exterminate!". To play this role, you must be intimately familiar about how they speak, their mannerisms, and most importantly, you must think as a Dalek!

"Sensor Beta-3 in Imperium grid has been triggered!"
"Insubordination will not be tolerated!"

Rodame is an officer fighting on the front lines for Gallifrey. He is young, determined, and dedicated to his planet. Try and reflect that spirit when auditioning!
"Sir! Several enemy ships have been destroyed and as far as we know, this is the only one left!"
"We’ve lost sight of the enemy! Orders, sir?"
"I don’t think we can prevent it any longer sir! We’ve already lost troops 1-5!"

He is a man hardened by war, capable, intelligent, yet has a very fleeting presence unfortunately. Reflect a position of authority and command in your voice when trying out this character!
"I don’t want to know how many are left, I want you to hold them back!"

"General Tobias to the High Council! Alpha-C has fallen!"

His character is very regal, very sure of himself and his position. However, he holds reverence for The Doctor due to the stories he has heard. Try to stay on the fragile yet authoritative side for this character!
"We have arrived. Please take your appropriate seats at the table."
"If you think I’m asking you to lead a war effort, you’re wrong."
"I believe I understand. I get the notion, however, that I should be concerned for the days ahead."

Basically, be a rough brute! Maintain a sense of regality, but no need to be nice about it!
"This will be your room. You will remain here unless there is an emergency. If so, you can communicate with one of the guards posted outside the door."
"What the hell is going on in here?"
"We have just received word that the Imperium has been destroyed."

This man is independent, brave, and stands up for what he believes in. Speak with true anger and injustice for him!
"What are you going to do to us!?"
"You’ve stolen our research, our data, our encrypted information and our ship! To hell with you!"
