Doctor Who: The 18th Doctor Adventures - The Land of Steel
Project Overview
WHO ARE WE?
Rift Point Productions is an amateur organization utilizing discord that attempts to take popular shows such as Star Trek and Doctor Who, and create our own audio spin-offs. With our unique storylines and dedicated team behind these productions, we aim to expand the universes in which these shows take place. We run our operations entirely off of volunteers, so although we wish we could pay our hardworking team, it is currently beyond our ability to do so.
INTRODUCTION:
This casting call is for our fourth episode of Doctor Who, "The Land of Steel". In this episode, The Doctor and his companions decide to take a vacation to the universe's largest Water Park! However, an evil lurks below the tourists that enjoy fun in the sun, and soon The Doctor begins to suspect something is awry after Jesse goes missing alongside hundreds of other tourists. This being our most ambitious episode yet, 12 voice actors are needed to play the roles of leading and supporting characters. Depending on the range your voice carries and the execution of your role, you may be used again in the project for future episodes.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
-Recording quality must be clear with little background noise.
-Once assigned to a role, please stay in touch with staff in case you are needed for private practice sessions!
-If inactive at any time during the duration of the project, you will be warned, and if you continue to be inactive, it will result in your role being replaced.
-We use Discord as our main platform, so you must have an account to continue to participate and access the scripts and other information.
-If auditioning for a Cyberman role, please visit the google document link found at the bottom of this page! We will not accept auditions without the audio modifications applied.
-Be respectful to everyone! We all are volunteers who utilize our talents and passions to ultimately benefit the project, so be mindful of what you say!
-Above all else, be PROACTIVE! Ask voice actors to join you for practice sessions, ask for critique, provide ideas for Rift Point, and communicate in general! It's meant to be a community for those who join the Rift family, not a job!

Sir, this entire planet is a park! We serve billions upon billions of customers every day! Even being from internal affairs, you should know we can’t shut down a planet because a handful go missing.
Every inch of the park is monitored by AIPOS, our park operating system.

He's confrontational, and rebellious. Try to be suave when reading for him, and while he is a teen, his voice is on the deeper end.
I told you, didn’t I? The stupid security cameras haven’t been hooked up yet to this section, they’re just for show so people won’t go snooping around.

The brochure said cybers aren’t allowed in this section of the waterpark, pal! Maybe stop scaring me and my girlfriend here, and just go back to your side of the planet, yeah?
Shy and easily startled, she's a sensitive soul. Make sure that you convey a soft, lilting tone of voice when speaking for her!

Cyber Database confirms data obtained from Cyber Unit 42. The Time lord known as the Doctor, and the Doctor encountered in section 17 are the same.
If you know anything about the Cybermen, try emulating that in your lines with the recommended modifications! If you need reference material, go to YouTube and look up Cyberman scenes from New Who, that will give you some perspective!

Judoon typically have a very deep voice, so make sure to look at reference material such as several scenes from "Smith and Jones", or "The Stolen Earth".

Although the gate attendant also acts as a greeter to the park, it certainly doesn't excite him. Display simple emotions, and you should be just fine!
