Digimon Adventure Abridged crew looking for recasts

Project Overview

Hello!


Our little group [Collaborated Abridging] is currently working on rebooting our main show, Digimon Adventure Abridged. As we had unfortunate run ins with unreliable people who outright stopped responding to messages for months and months and months.


So here we are!

We require a decent microphone quality, dedication (as it IS a series) and desire. We all do this kind of stuff for fun after all, don't we?


Incase you have never seen Digimon, (shame on you) it is about kids who get transported into this "digital" world and they find Digimon partners and then they digivolve and get bigger and fight monsters. It is an anime after all, it has to have some sort of an formula. But this IS from the 90's, the era when people tried new things like Pokémon and whatnot (Digimon came first by the way) so the show isn't filled with a truckload of clichés.

  • Congratulations!

    First of all, thank you, every single one of you.


    Congratulations to those who got cast! Unfortunately for Taichi and Tentomon we couldn't choose who was the single best one so I have sent a private message to the 3 we considered the best on both characters auditions and we will be having interviews with all these people to see who will get the role(s).


    We were expecting like 10 auditions at maximum, not 63. It was amazing. We will most definately use this site in the future if we need to cast more characters!

    We seriously were not expecting this many auditions, some on us honestly would like to snag a few of the voice actors right away but we're still going to wait until the deadline.

In our show Jô is a rich born and raised London kid, this teenager is the oldest of the bunch and always demands to be the leader. Throughout the show, just like with all the other characters. He learns what it means to be a team player.

Tentomon is the "freak" of the group, being a Zerg like monstrocity he is the scary one of the bunch but moving towards the end of the show he starts to show that all he wants is to be compassionate.

Our Taichi is mocking the horrible English dub, he is an over-exadorated version of him, meaning more horrible puns, more excitement and a lot more stupidity on his part.


He is like that overly happy ADHD anime protagonist you got to see a lot on 4Kids English dubs.

Hard rolling R's and slow speech makes a good Eastern European voice. While we're not requiring a Russian accent, we do require some sort of a rough Eastern European accent for this wolf Digimon. It makes more sense in the context of the actual show.

Agumons character was born out of a blooper, he has that typical way overly exadorated samurai voice you often hear people having fun with.


His biggest deal is his honor, while he often doesn't understand the sheer stupidity of his human partner he still does his best to protect him because of his honor.
