A Detective Story
Project Overview
This is a detective thriller type story set in the late 1950's at the height of the Cold War during Dwight D. Eisenhower's presidency. Our main character, Clayton Steel is a young intern at the CIA, who seems to have caught a streak of bad luck. His suspects are alluding him, his work is getting sloppy, and Ernest, his boss, is furious. A detective by the name of lance shows up at a building on a pending investagation. They become friends and solve and mystery that unlocks more problems than it solves.

Clayton Steel, is our main character of this story, who has seemed to be down on an unlucky streak. He is an inexperienced detective and CIA intern, who has to try to earn the trust of his boss, Ernest. On his journey, he meets a detective named Lance, who acts as a father figure and helps mentor the inexperienced detective.

Lance is a detective, which our main character, Clayton Steel, meets on a current case's investigation. He becomes more than Clayton's friend, acting as a father figure and entoring the inexperienced CIA intern. Although, in the end, nothing is as it all seems.

You’re not going to solve many cases with that attitude.
Ernest is a talented, skilled, and knowledgeable CIA opperative, who has been in the service for almost 25 years and currently head of his division. Ernest seems to be a hardend military individual, who is furious at the way his intern, Clayton Steel, is behaving. He may have a hardend exterior, but we get to see what emotions he surpressed inside with the last scene of the story.

Don't patronize me intern. I’ve been in the service for almost 25 years. And in all those 25 years I have never seen an individual, so disregarded of the rules, that he would risk his life at any cost.
