Detective Conan: Refiled - Episode 1 & 2
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Detective Conan: Refiled aims to dub mostly the canon episodes of the Detective Conan anime, though movies and OVAs might be on the table for later. This project tries to stay as close to the japanese original as possible.
AUDITIONING
Interested in trying out for a role? Great! Below you'll find the roles for the first two episodes. For the actual project, we will use the episodes for reference to help you figure out how to best do the lines. As far as the actual auditions go, I have a few general things I want to say:
Provide at least two takes of every line, each take, try to do the line a bit differently.
Don't feel obligated to imitate one of the Japanese VAs that have played the character, but don't stray away from there voice type too much either.
Clean, unedited audio! Don't add any filters/effects. If you can do it well and need to, you CAN use a bit of noise reduction, but I want to hear your voice unfiltered, also when it comes to the actual production, it'll sound more consistent if I'm processing unedited audio.
AUDITION RECOMMENDATIONS & GOALS
To elaborate on what we're looking for, we've added this section to help you if you are a little lost on what exactly we want out of your audition. When it comes to your voice, you should be able to somewhat match the Japanese performances in the show. If you need to know what those sound like, you can reference clips on YouTube or you can go back and watch the subbed version of the anime. While getting close to the Japanese is important, what is more important is that your audition has good range. Play around with your voice and add improv if you think it will show more of what you can do!

(Scared) Which way is the line?
(Nervous) Those are police cars! We didn't sneak in for free!
Genta is the self-proclaimed leader of the Detective Boys. He loves food, especially braised eel on rice, and can eat more than all the other Detective Boys members combined. When discussions of money come up, Genta tends to think about it in terms of how many eel bowls he could buy. His brash personality, lack of awareness of his surroundings, and tendency to not think before acting often lands the Detective Boys (or at least himself) in sticky situations.

(Nervous) Now what do we do?!
(Scared) What was that?! Let's get the heck outta here!
Agasa is highly intelligent, having achieved at least one advanced degree and managing to invent a slew of useful gadgets. He is especially proud of his inventions, and their quality must have been recognized, since they have already been used during official events. While a bachelor, he is very paternal and enjoys the company of the Detective Boys. Agasa has a special love for pasta and tomato juice.

(Happy) Time for a Quiz, kids! Can you figure this one out?
(offended) I told Shinichi that in confidence! Could he be going around and sharing all my secrets?
(Thinking out loud) I understand. The poison was incomplete, so instead of killing you outright, it somehow caused your body to shrink to the size of a child.
Vodka speaks and acts like a typical mafia or Yakuza type gangster, and he is just as ruthless a killer as his partner Gin. However, he is also more easy-going and trusting than the latter, thus making him more susceptible to traps Conan sets to apprehend the Organization. In addition, he tends to not perform well under stress without guidance from Gin or other characters.

(Serious) Sorry for the wait, Company Director. I know. I rode the roller coaster and checked from above.
(Serious, Nervous) Isn't he that detective, boss?! Want me to take care of him?!
Takanori is pretty rich and really likes living his extravagant life and earn money. His motive for murder was probably because of financial problems with Yamazaki. He isn't subtle in disguising his stuff since he freaked out when Sonoko told him Shinichi was a detective.

(Serious, Irritated) Could you get serious for a moment, Inspector Megure? How long do you intend to detain all of my guests? We don't have any more time to be part of your fruitless investigation!
(Serious, Irritated) Nonsense! it's almost 10 meters to the next window! Jumping from one to the other is impossible!
(Nervous) You must be joking! My leg hasn't even healed yet!
Kishida is the typical Jock jerk character. He's later murdered by Hitomi, his ex-girlfriend, due to him leaving her for another girl.

(Angry) Hey, you! Quit botherin' my pals!
Hitomi is a gymnast who's friends with Reiko, and Kishida's ex-girlfriend. She later murders Kishida due to him leaving her for another girl.

(In Tears) Aiko! And I thought you and Kishida were on good terms... How could you...?
(Shocked, Nervous) W-What are you talking about?! The knife was in Aiko's purse!
(In Tears, Confessing) It was his fault, I tell you! He forsook me! That's right! Long before I met you two in college! So that's why I decided to kill him... where we had our very first date, using the necklace he gave me!
Aiko is Kishida's current girlfriend, she was about to be taken to jail for the murder of her boyfriend she didn't commit, until Shinichi Kudo proves that it was Hitomi that killed Kishida.

(Joking) Plus it'd be impolite to disturb Aiko and Kishida!
(Shocked, Questions) Hitomi, you were going out with Kishida?
Gin and Vodka blackmailed an unnamed company owner who had been smuggling guns for over 100 million yen in cash. After Vodka received the briefcase of cash, he returned the film evidence of the business' gun smuggling. Vodka may have intended to kill the man when the transaction was complete as he began to draw his gun, but it could also have been in response to the company owner's remark the organization does even worse things than gun smuggling.

(Serious, Nervous) Hurry and give me the film! This is all of the film, right?!
CEO of a business corporation, called in Kogoro Mori to look for his kidnapped daughter.
