Rin Nakamura was brought up in a normal family, he had a few friends, no enemies, his big brother was in college out of town so he lived alone with his parents. He figured that he would go on living a normal life into high school, but by some chance he gets invited to Hopes peak because.....well, he doesn't remember exactly, all he remembers is that he was meant to be there.... Confused, he tries to keep his cool. But when the killing games revealed....he realises keeping everyone together might be a challenge...
As I slowly opened my eyes, I saw a, a school gym?! Why am I here?! This isn't my school....there are other people who look my age stood around, were they kidnapped too?
It was actually a nice room, a king size bed, I haven't seen one of those in a while...
I lie down on the bed, face crushed into the cushion.
What the hell have I gotten myself into here...
Hideo Hatsu was born in a poor town, he was recognised to have a lucky streak at gambling, and started to gamble in the underground. Many believe he is a con artist, however he denies every claim. He seems cold however he can be quite humble and charming. However he has a sinister side. He has a heavy believe in love and thinks that if you can find it, it's worth dying for.
"thanks Mimi! Anyway, all the doors are locked and the windows are barricaded, I reckon we could go under by mining out, but that may take a long time and our captor will probably stop us. As for a reason for kidnapping us, we gathered that we're all prodigies of sort, does that apply to you?"

"isn't it clear, he's here as a robot, our captor obviously doesn't want to reveal themself so easily..."
Ito was recognised as a genius early on and was brought up 2 years in school. His older brother used to pick on him due to being jealous and so did other kids in his school. His family was pretty poor so they his brother was forced to quit school and get a job. However no matter how much he asked to help his parents wouldn't let him 'throw away his talent' and he felt guilty for this. He blurts out facts randomly sometimes and he seems to secretly enjoy reading yaoi. He couldn't say boo to a ghost and knows he's weak, but thinks that he might be able to help with his knowledge and says he'll do whatever he can.

Shins parents abandoned him as a kid and was brought up in a foster home,he was often a bit of an introvert and didn't have a lot of friends, an old man who worked at the foster home took a liking to him. He was a failed magician himself and he showed Shim everything he knew. When he and his wife adopted shin, he finally felt wanted. He soon became a budding magician. He has a kind nature and loves showing people tricks.

Vita and her twin brother Yuki both went to an all girls school, there mother would always get mad at Yukis claims that she wanted to be a boy. When they were at school Yuki used to be picked on constantly by the others. Vita was fine as long as they didn't know she was named after a cracker brand. Vita was obsessed with baking due to her mother trying to get her kids into some of what she figured to be more 'feminine' hobbies. Yuki was into gardening and often worked with the groundskeeper in the school, he was the only one who really listened to Yuki when he said he wanted to be a boy. It got to a point where his mother started beating him whenever he said it. After an argument over it between his farther and mother they left there mother and moved away into a new town where Yuki went about as a boy. He tends to be timid but he is pretty nice to other people. He always feels the need to look out for his older twin. Often apologising for her.

Pcw is the shsl Hacker, he hacked into websites for fun as a kid, he once robbed money out of a Rich mans bank account and spent the money on a bunch of crap, and when he got caught his parents were passed on the dept and they became bankrupt,his little sister has heart disease and he dedicates his days to making sure she's okay.
I mean, you guys obviously know who I am already so I don't have to introduce myself right! Haha!

Chiba Is the shsl artist. He grew up with his parents and older sister. Because his parents were busy with their work as a kid his sister usually looked after him. She used to let him watch murder mysteries and he became obsessed with them, wanting to be a detective. However his parents forced him to pursue his talent in art, concerned by his obsession with murder. He doesn't actually like his art and sees it as something that holds him back. He would be willing to kill if it meant he could create the perfect mystery.

Mimi Akiyama learnt how to program computers from a young age. She started working for firewall companies and programming systems to stop hackers. She was getting payed from the age of 12. She speaks in 3rd person for some reason. She is extremely bubbly and gets obsessed with things easily, she loves everyone no matter what and would be sad no matter what. However she can get a little jealous from time to time.

Harper is a famous school idol. Her parents are Rich and she hasn't actually ever had to work for anything in her life. She's highly spoiled and treats others as if they are trash. If you call her out she'll start to panic and get defensive.

Shioris family owns a dressmaker shop, she ended up starting working there at 13, due to her mother developing arthritis in her fingers and no longer being able to work. She is dedicated to her work dress making. She absolutely hates anime though. She can look at a person and emmediatly imaging them in a dress, and figure out their measurements. She's basically a snobby teenager. But she makes fun of Nagisa quite a lot.

Yui is an animator, she is basically obsessed with video games, anime and manga and gets very defensive of it. When she was younger she used to be very anxious and scared to talk to people ,however she mentions someone who helped her come out of that, but refuses to say anything else about them.

She became the shsl pianist due to going a competition her younger cousin was in, and as she was teaching him a scout heard her. Nao was homeschooled and has never actually been in a school before. She's also never had friends and thinks people must be annoyed by her personality (so when Vita takes a liking for her she gets a little shook). She can be known as bossy and hot headed, she seems to think she got it from her farther.

(She doesn't show up until chpt 2) Clove was raised by her Uncle due to her parents dying in a car crash when she was young, her Uncle was a millionaire and her and her cousin got along like siblings. One day when her cousin nearly got hit by a truck, she pushed her out of the way and went into a deadly coma, it was considered a miracle she was even alive afterwards and made a full recovery. From this She was thought to have immense luck and quickly got noticed by Hopes Peak. She's kinda hard to talk to,for some reason she's trying not to connect with people too much. She's very out there and headstrong, but you can't help but get the feeling she knows something she shouldn't.
It's called monochromia, I was born with that, it's not that weird.
