Days of My Life - episode 2 Casting Call
Project Overview
This project follows Sunset Shimmer as she tries to make amends for what she did in the past and begins to let her guard down around the others.
Rules:
No background noise please. I want to hear YOU and your acting ability, not whatever is going on in the background. You don’t need a professional microphone set up to audition, but please record in a quiet room.
I will only be accepting auditions that are in a .mp3 or .wav format. I will NOT accept video files. I will also accept auditions from Casting Call Club and Behind the Voice Actors but you MUST be able to send auditions in a .mp3 format or .wav format for the final project.
Put everything into your audition! Two characters here are OCs and so I will be judging auditions based on your acting ability. Really show the emotion in the character - I am looking for good acting, the ability to use this information to interpret the character and a fitting voice. For Cheerilee, I’m more interested in the emotion/acting ability of the character than a fitting voice.
Please leave at least three seconds of silence before you say your audition lines. This will help give me an idea of how much background noise you have, the quality of your microphone and how much noise removal I will have to do.

Sugar Song is also a fourteen-year-old student from Canterlot High School - she also appears in Sunset Shimmer's flashback. In contrast to her best friend Golden Heart, Sugar Song is very eccentric and bubbly. Her voice is high-pitched, although she does lower her voice slightly when talking to Golden Heart. She has long hair that reaches her lower back, and her hair colour is blue with a purple streak through the middle. She always wears her hair in some sort of ponytail, usually a high ponytail. Sugar Song has brown eyes, a pale complexion and is roughly 5'5.
Sugar Song (with a sigh and a roll of her eyes): Aw, come on Goldie! It’s just a school dance, I’m sure Sunset Shimmer won’t mind losing this one. She’s already been the Princess of the Winter Dance and the previous Fall Formal!
Sugar Song (pleading): Please Goldie! You deserve this a lot more than (mockingly) Sunset Shimmer.
Sugar Song (happily, cheering): Woohoo! Go Goldie, go Goldie, go Goldie!
Golden Heart is a fourteen year old student from Canterlot High School - she appears in Sunset Shimmer’s flashback. Golden Heart is a kind, gentle character with a soft, airy voice. Golden Heart is quite shy and gentle, and has a nervous habit of stuttering and hiding behind her hair when nervous. However, when she is talking to Sugar Song, she is quite cheery and playful.
Golden Heart (nervously, gazing at the floor and fiddling with her fingers): I’m n-not sure, Sugar...I m-mean, S-Sunset Shimmer w-wants to be Princess of the S-Spring Fling.
Golden Heart (playfully): Hey, you’re going to help with my campaign, right?
Golden Heart (giggling): Stop it, you’re embarrassing me!
As a high school teacher, Cheerilee is patient and willing to help her students. However, she is considerably more disciplinary than her pony counterpart, as shown in her strictness in upholding the rules of the school library. Her interaction with Twilight Sparkle and the Crusaders also demonstrates that she's easily irritated.
Cheerilee (confused): Uh, girls, what are you doing?
Cheerilee (angrily): No! The school computers are for research purposes only.
Cheerilee (comfortingly): All right, settle down everybody!
