Project Overview
TW: Abuse, extreme sexual assault, murder, violence, cursing, smoking, animal abuse, suicide - Self harm - blood - depression - eating disorder - alcoholism - dead body - hospitalisation - scars - weightloss and gain - car accident - black mail - gun violence - hanging - kidnapping
A slice of life.
There will be changing pictures throughout ever episode.
Jay is a 17 year old boy. After his mother died he lives alone with his abusive father, yet Jay finds new friends who want to help him get out of the house. They do succeed, but the father is still in the picture. He comes back, as violent as ever, insisting on getting Jay back. The story focuses on Joy's trauma and overcoming of the trauma, while also giving room for side characters' backstory and their obstacles.
I really hope this can be a fun project for us o do together!! If you get the role, we will let you know and invite you to our Discord-server, where hopefully we get to also have fun. In case you're shy, don't worry about it. I'll make sure of no akward silence! So just relax and let's do this together!! Whether you're a voice actor, artist or whatever, I'd love to talk with you!

Side character - Doesn't understand when he does anything wrong - Has never gotten a "no" in his life - Very lonely - Extremely smart - Will manipulate and force people to do things they don't want to, if that means getting what he wants.
His voice is a very classic anime voice. Everything he says is said calm and with a smile, but in a way that makes him seem like he's always planning something bad.

He always sounds like he knows more than he’s letting on. The smile is audible (light, polite, but unsettling.) He's Charismatic, persuasive, and snake-like. Something just feels off like he's always planning something.He rarely shows anger his sharpness comes through in subtle inflections rather than raised volume.

Mike: (Soothed - Smile - Calm) “Relax… (Break) You’ve seen better days”
Mike: (Sobbing) "I just... I just wanted to be friends but I guess once again I... (Sobbing harder) I fucked up. I don't wanna do this anymore. I can't do this anymore. (Curls up in foster position - Yelling - Sobbing) I don't want to live (Keep crying without words)"
Side character - Jay's dad
He is extremely abusive and blames Jay for the death of the mother. He will hit and yell and forces Jay to do whatever he feels is right in his world. He will always blame others.
Thomas: (Angry - Yelling) “Who do you think I’m doing this for!? Cause I’m telling you, it’s not for myself!”
Thomas: (Still yelling - Very mad) “I never wanted this! I never wanted any of this! And what the hell do you mean calm down!?”
Thomas: (Calm - Strict) "Jay. Come home"
Side character - Basically a bully who starts by being extremely mean towards Jay, but slowly starts helping him instead. He's very annoying but is unfortunately almost always right. Unempathetic but very smart
Nathaniel: (Chuckling - Annoyed) “What an ego”
Nathaniel: (Talking to the teacher but then turns to Jay after a bit - Obviously he hadn't actually forgotten) "Sorry sir, I was just asking my buddy Jay here for help with this math questio- Oh... Wait that's right! You can't read can you? Like at all? Ahw, well in that case, Jay. Sorry for disturbing your class of simply staring into the air. I'll let you get back to... That..."
