What is danganronpa?
Danganronpa is a Japanese video game which follows a group of high school students who are forced to kill each other by a black and white bear named Monokuma. The series starts with 'Danganronpa,Trigger Happy Havoc' and ends with 'Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony'.

What is Danganronpa: Another Despair?
Danganronpa: Another Despair is a Fanganronpa directed by 'Himiko Yumeno Kinnie' (Himiko Yumeno ALT ACC#7475 on discord), 'Lunith' ( •~SuperNova~•#8591 on discord) and co-directed by 'Quinn' (homestuckphobic#0821 on discord).
The project follows the protagonist, Asuka Saito, as she and 15 others are trapped in an abandoned Holiday Park, forced to kill each other to escape.
(Please note more things about the project will be added in the future.)
Minimal Requirements:
- Be at least 13 years old. (If you're 12 turning 13 in a few months that's fine.)
- Have a decent mic. (Phone mics are fine too! Just don't sound like a tin can and string.)
- Don't have any background noise for your audition.
- Have discord.
- Be able to work with others. (There'll be many people working on this project, so if you can't work with them, then please don't audition.)
- Be open to constructive criticism.
- Be able to meet deadlines. (If you need more time, ask 2-4 days before the deadline.)
Recommended Requirements:
- Have knowledge on the danganronpa universe. Play all the games and watch the animes (if you're able to) to learn about it.
- Be okay with LGBTQ+ characters.
- Show proof the work in the audition is yours. (DOESN'T APPLY FOR VOICE ACTORS)
- Know how to use at least 1 editing software.
- Know how to work with 3D environments.

Asuka Saito is, as we've mentioned, the protagonist of this fanganronpa. Although her ultimate talent is very strange, she has a good reason for having it. She gets excited when talking to people who love fantasy as much as she does, and gets bored of people telling her their achievements. We believe her voice should sound like a mix of Aoi Asahina and Hiyoko Saionji's voice, but any voice will be fine.
[Friendly, breaking the 4th wall.] "I'm Asuka Saito (Ah-ska Sai-toe), the protagonist of this story! I'm the Ultimate Fantasy World Maker."
[With Conviction, class trial.] (Pick one of the four options below)
"No, that's wrong!"

[Enthusiastic & talking fast, meeting Ina.] "So you're a horror novelist! Have you ever added a fantasy world into your books? Do you enjoy fantasy? Can I help make a fantasy world with you?"
Ina Wada is Ichiro Wada's younger twin sister. She's the Ultimate Horror Novelist, and enjoys people liking her work. She dislikes people making fun of her, and telling her what to add to her already existing books. Her voice should be quiet, and a mix of Peko Pekoyama and Mahiru Koizumi's voice. But any low/medium voice is fine.
[Annoyed, talking to Asuka.] "No, I don't want to add a fantasy world in my horror books. They follow a certain story, and none of them, and I mean none of them, will ever have a fantasy world involved."
[Apologetic, introduction.] "Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. My name's Ina Wada (eye-na wa-da), the Ultimate Horror Novelist."
[With conviction, start of rebuttal showdown styled mini-game] "Reality before imagination!"
Ichiro Wada is Ina Wada's older twin brother, and the Ultimate Rapper. Whenever he brought Ina to a rap battle, Ichiro was mistaken to be the youngest, which is one of his dislikes. He enjoys Ina trying to rap against him. We can see Ichiro having any type of voice.
[Happy, introduction] "Yo, I'm Ichiro Wada (E-che-ro Wa-da), the Ultimate Rapper!"
[Nervous, talking to Ina.] "Ina, you won't kill anyone... will you?"
[Scared, first body discovery] "What... what in the world! Why...?"
Saburo Hiyashi is the Ultimate Sword Swallower. He's often very energetic, yet whenever he sees a sword, he becomes cold and professional. His voice should sound like Nekomaru Nidai's voice, but some range to his voice is fine.
[Confused, talking to Asuka and Akihiko.] "Huh. I think I've seen you both somewhere before. But where from..."
[Professional, looking at a sword.] "As the only one here who's had experience with swords, I request you let me see what type of sword it is."
[Cheerful, introduction.] "Pleasure to meet you, Asuka! I'm Saburo Hayashi (Sab-ur-oh Hiya-she), the ultimate sword swallower! I hope we can get along!"
Akihiko Yoshi is this year's Ultimate Lucky Student. She's often very tired, and struggles to make friends. We think she'd sound like a mix of Himiko Yumeno and Hiyoko Saionji.
[Confused, before introductions.] "Hey, am I the only one who woke up in a room they didn't recognise? Because if I wasn't, something is very... odd about this place."
[Tired, introductions] "I'm Akihiko Yoshi (Aka-hiko Yo-she), the Ultimate Lucky Student. Do you know where the nearest bed is? I'm really tired."
[Shocked, first body discovery.] "Wha- What the. What in the world happened to them!"
Chika Inoue is the Ultimate Barista. She's very loud, and loves making drinks for her friends. We're fine with any voice for her.
[Loud & Energetic, introduction] "Hiya! I'm Chika Inoue (Che-ka E-no-ay), and I'm known as the Ultimate Barista!"
[Whispering, talking to Akihiko] "Would you like a coffee to help you stay awake?"
[Annoyed, start of killing game.] "Ugh, I'm not being trapped in here just to kill. That's ridiculous! I have drinks to make outside of here!"
Hotaka Sugiyama is the Ultimate Dancer, and one of the antagonists of this killing game. He doesn't care about others, and hates people who make fun of dancing. His voice should sound like a mix of Byakuya Togami and Mondo Owada's, but anything is fine.
[Annoyed, introduction.] "This introduction is pointless. But since you won't shut up, I'm Hotaka Sugiyama (Ho-tar-ka Su-ge-yar-ma), Ultimate dancer. Now leave me alone."
[Sarcastic, first body discovery] "Boo-hoo, it's a body. Whatever will we do."
[Smug, talking to Goro.] "So, you're also a dancer. Show me what type of dancing you do. I might just enjoy it."
Akako Matsushita is the Ultimate Basketball Player! He enjoys people knowing about him, yet when they don't he goes on and on about himself for hours. We're fine with any voice for him.
[Proud, introduction.] "Hello! I'm Akako Matsushita (A-car-co Mar-tshoe-she-ta), the Ultimate Basketball Player! But I'm sure you've heard of me and my many achievements."
[Confused, class trial.] "I don't follow. How would the culprit do that in the space of 5 minuets?"
[Shocked, first punishment.] "I- That's just- I-"
Ume ??? is the Ultimate Florist, and the female antagonist for this killing game. According to her, she 'only grows flowers for the money'. yet all the flowers in her room was grown by her. Her voice can be anything you think suits her.
[Annoyed, introduction] "Ugh, all you need to know I'm the Ultimate Florist, Ume (o-may) . No, you don't need my last name."
[Laughing, making fun of Asuka.] "Please, what kind of talent is a Fantasy World Maker. Only worthless idiots enjoy non-existent things."
[Offended (turning into annoyance), talking to Chika.] "No, I don't grow flowers for my entertainment. I grow them for the money. I would have thought a barista like you would at least know that."
Emiko Suzuki is the Ultimate Party Planner! They are transgender (Male to Female) and use she/they pronouns! Any voice will be fine for Emiko.
[Energetic, introduction.] "Hello there! I'm Emiko Suzuki (Am-iko Sue-zoo-key), the Ultimate Party Planner! Tell me any date and I'll plan an amazing party!"
[Loud and energetic, party.] "Surprise! I wanted to throw you a party as you survived an attack!"
[Confident, class trial.] "Well at least I know what the murder weapon wasn't!"
Goro Sadou is the Ultimate Bellydancer, and super shy. He gets frightened easily, and hates looking at bodies. We don't mind what his voice sounds like.
[Shy, introduction.] "Oh, hi... I'm Goro Sadou (G-oh-roh Sad-o), the Ultimate Bellydancer.. I hope we can be good friends."
[Upset, body discovery.] *Crying* "We're all gonna die here....!"
[Worried, chapter 3] "Hey... where's (insert any characters name here)???"
Kenichi Hane is the Ultimate Fisherman. He likes talking about the largest fish he has caught, and hates people lying. His voice should be deep, like Ryoma Hoshi's.
[Bored, introduction.] "I'm Kenichi Hane (Kain-chi Han), Ultimate Fisherman."
[Calm, body discovery.] "Eh, I often fish up bodies. No big deal or anything."
[With conviction, class trial.] "The fish took the bait!"
Erika Matsuda is the Ultimate Doll Maker. She comes off as shy, but once you get to know her she is really chatty. We're fine with any voice for her.
[Whispering, introduction.] "...........Erika Matsuda (Airy-ka Mat-su-da)......... Ultimate Doll Maker.........."
[Cheerful yet quiet, free-time.] "You like my dolls......?.........Do you want one.............?"
[Screaming, body discovery.] "AAAAAAAAH!"
Kami Ozora is the Ultimate Fidget Toy Maker! She gets offended when she gets compared to people who fake anxiety, and appreciates people who understand her. We're fine with any voice for her.
[Nervous, introduction.] "H-hello. I'm Kami... Kami Ozora (Cam-e Oz-ore-a), the Ultimate Fidget Toy Maker. Would you like a fidget cube... or a monkey noodle?"
[Scared, body discovery.] "Eek! A-a body!"
[Offended, free time.] "I don't make fidgets just for 'fun'. I make them for people with anxiety and people who really need them."
Ryunosuke Fukushi is the Ultimate Violinist. He typically tries to act posh in front of others. We're fine with any voice for him.
[Posh, introduction.] "Hello there. I'm Ryunosuke Fukushi (Re-no-sk-ay F-coo-she), and I'm the Ultimate Violinist. Though, I believe you should know me from talent shows."
[Surprised, first body discovery.] "Oh my... What an awful way to die!"
[Sadness, turning into anger, class trial.] "Y-you killed them... How could you!"
Takuya Natsukawa is the Ultimate Figure Skater. He appears to be posh, yet when you actually speak to him, he just acts like a normal human. We're fine with any voice for him.
[Entertained, introduction.] "Have you seen him dance! He's so good! Anyways, I'm Takuya Natsukawa (Tak-u-ya Na-su-ka-wa), the Ultimate Figure Skater!"
[Shocked, Monokuma's appearance.] "GAH! A talking toy bear!"
[Confused, class trial.] "So um... what do we talk about?"
What would be a killing game without Monokuma? Anyone can voice Monokuma, we don't mind.
[Annoyed, first appearance] "Hey, I'm not some broken kids toy. I'm. Monokuma!"
[Excited, body discovery.] "Puhuhu, the first body! Now, everyone head to the gym!"
[Really excited, class trial.] "Let's give it everything we've got! It's PUNISHMENT TIME!!!"
Although this project is directed by 3 of us, we can't draw danganronpa sprites to save our life. So that's why we're looking for a sprite artist! We don't mind what danganronpa game your style comes from. All we ask is that you show us one of your sprite creations.

One again, all three of us cant't draw in the danganronpa style to save our lives. So we're asking for a background artist! For this role you'll, obviously, design a background for each location. All we ask is that it's in a style similar to danganronpa's.

Although Himiko and Lunith will be writing this project, they'll need help. You'll be helping them write things like the main script, and free time events. We'd like for this to be one of the first roles filled.

Although some of us have experience with actual edits, we have no knowledge on making actual videos. As video editor, we would like you to make the videos for the project, and send it to us on discord. These videos will then be going onto YouTube!
