Her Personality:
Anne was also irresponsible and a bit of a rule-breaker, not respecting the limitations on her freedom within both Amphibia and the human world. Anne not only stole a music box while knowing it wasn't right to, but she also showcases somewhat of a stubborn personality.[16] This was shown throughout the series from when Anne pushed Sprig to go to the lake even though Hop Pop specifically told them not to as he was still having doubts about Anne - thinking how he shouldn't let a "monster" that is Anne wander outside and terrorize the town[16] (however, both of these instances had the underlying context of Anne's insecurity and lack of social confidence influencing her poor decisions out of fear of damaging the bonds with those close to her). Oftentimes, Anne knows the wrong decisions she makes aren't right, but she isn't willing to admit it unless she was under massive amounts of pressure. She learnt her mistake when she knew it wasn't the right idea to fake being ill, as it was likely the reason the rest of the Plantar family became sick due to an extra workload during a storm.[40] She did attempt to make up for her mistake by taking care of the Plantars in their sick state, but she didn't admit her errors to the family until she believed they were going to die from the "disease" they caught.[40] Following this incident, Anne became less conniving and manipulative after her laziness nearly got her adoptive family killed (or so they thought).
Back on Earth, Anne was lazy and selfish, even if not overtly, with little interest about what was going on around herself and believing her problems were worse than other's because they were hers. Upon meeting the native Amphibians, Anne was taken aback by their way of living. It is only when she started living with the Plantars that she began to open up and learn more about herself. Anne realized that much of what she was brought up on made her somewhat materialistic, and she began to accept simpler ways of living (though she still relies on her cell phone and has apparently gotten others addicted to its functions). There are even parts of herself that she had suppressed that, thanks to Sprig and the rest of the Plantars, she has opened up to such as cooking.[8]
Anne finally comfortable about herself.
Despite all of her flaws, Anne still proved herself brave, caring, compassionate and kind in her early days in Amphibia, even if she was alienated by her fellow townspeople. Although she initially trapped an unfamiliar world, Anne demonstrated an incredible amount of bravery. She was brave enough to hold back the red praying mantis that was twice her size, in the hopes that Sprig and the Wartwood townsfolk could flee unharmed.[7] A natural athlete, Anne is great at several athletic activities, such as basketball, volleyball, and swimming. She's also seen to be interested in and to participate in sports such as tennis and baseball (or a variation of it played by the Plantar siblings). Anne, at her core, is kind-hearted, though Anne's true selfless nature comes out when others are in danger. In these situations, Anne is willing to do seemingly anything to protect others, such as climbing entire mountains, fighting giant monsters and even standing up to entire armies. Eventually, Anne becomes not only a worthy member of the town, but a hero to most of its' townsfolk.
Anne is a child of the modern era; a pop-culture enthusiast with a love for young-adult romance and adventure movies and TV and also reads manga. She has sometimes said slang words and internet acronyms such as "Lit", "IRL", "BRB", and used the shrug emoji when she wrote a letter to announce Sprig's breakup.[41] Anne would show a dislike to pineapples (especially as a pizza topping) and will threaten anyone mentioning them.[42] Whenever she has downtime, she's pretty much always seen on her phone, listening to music, watching shows and films she downloaded and sometimes looking at or showing others pictures of her home. Anne's obsession with her phone has been implied to be more sentimental in nature - as she is shown to care most for the uses and memories the phone contains.[43] During her stay in Amphibia, although she still appreciated her phone, she grew less attached to it and found other things to do in her spare time. When Sprig asked her about the disc, Anne claims that she's from another dimension and not the 90s.[44]
Anne is shown to take great interest in the romantic lives of her loved ones - going far out of her way to try to make Sprig[45] and Hop Pop[46] confess their feelings to their crushes respectively. Despite this, she can be downright brutal with her breakups, giving her the title of "Angel of Death" back on Earth.[41] She's also a practitioner of easy-break ups, advocating Sprig break up with Maddie via a letter.[41]
Anne cares about her adoptive family very much and greatly enjoys hanging out with them, especially Sprig and Polly. In general, she acts very sisterly towards Sprig and Polly, almost always carrying Polly before she got her legs, and giving Sprig lots of advice on dating, having fun, and other things. She also cares about their needs, including when she was willing to break up Sprig and Maddie because of how anxious and stressed Sprig was feeling. Within the first few months of her stay, she starts referring to the Plantars as her family without hesitation. The tipping point of Anne's acceptance, however, came when the Tax Collectors came to town.[47] Though she joined them, she was the only member to show compassion for the residents and eventually used her sword-fighting skills to fight off the Tax Collectors, nearly getting killed in the process.[47] After the battle at Toad Tower, Anne told the Plantars that they were family to her.[17]
Anne is also shown to have a particular desire for friends. However, Anne is also sometimes naïve, depicted in how she is easily manipulated by her human friends, so much so that she did anything to be friends with Sasha and Marcy, as she believed they wouldn't want to be friends with her if she follow through with their requests. Anne explained to Sprig the unhealthy perception that friends help each other always without objection,[48] essentially blind obedience. Through her constant interaction with Sprig, a somewhat simple-minded child, Anne is able to look at friendship in a whole new way. She begins to desire a more compassionate friendship with those close to her.
Her relationships with her friends also begin to unravel as it becomes apparent that much of her decisions were more the result of being pressured by their wants and needs, whether it be by manipulations from Sasha or feeling responsible for Marcy's clumsiness. During the battle at Toad Tower, she finally sees through Sasha's manipulative tactics thanks to Sprig, who sees Anne for who she is: a kind and considerate person who is willing to protect her friends.[17] Throughout the show, Anne has also become more open-minded regarding her human friends, even after learning what Sasha and Marcy did, as she was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, knowing that while they made many mistakes, none of them truly wanted to cause her harm. This became even more evident after she had to leave them behind, vowing to find a way back to them, even after Marcy having just revealed her intentions about getting the girls to Amphibia.[37]

(Calling The Girls For Dinner.) Yo! Luz, Moll, Dinner's Ready!
(Angry/Serious) HEY! This Is Just Protein! It's Good for You! Eat It Or...!
(Encouragement/Happy) Hop Pop Taught Me This Recipe.
Her Personality:
Luz is a kind-hearted, outgoing, eccentric, and exceedingly geeky girl, who possesses a strong love of fantasy and adventure. She is an extremely optimistic person who always attempts to see the best in others, even in past enemies. She is eager to find her place in the world and be accepted for who she feels she truly is. She is clever, creative, and a quick thinker, capable of coming up with solutions to problems on the fly, but if she has too much on her mind, she can be oblivious to things like, initially, Amity's crush on her. Luz has also been shown to utter small phrases in Spanish when experiencing certain bouts of emotion.
Luz is determined to be who she wants to be regardless of the opposition she receives. However, her remarkably headstrong personality has also landed her in trouble on a number of occasions. As noted by Hunter in "Hunting Palismen", Luz has a tendency to rush into dangerous situations without always thinking things through. This is translated in the Boiling Isles by way of occasionally disobeying Eda and getting into trouble. Despite this, Luz is intelligent and surprisingly introspective when she allows herself the room to breathe.
Multiple times Luz has shown herself to be exceptionally brave and heroic, risking her life on a number of occasions to protect others, especially those she loves. She does not tolerate when others take advantage of their positions in life, regularly standing up for herself, those who cannot do so themselves or inspiring them to as seen against the likes of Boscha at school and Belos' oppressive rule on the Isles. In addition, when provoked enough, Luz is capable of great rage and being quite formidable as an opponent. This was seen during Eda's attempted execution at the Conformatorium, where Luz entered a state of despair-induced aggression capable of not only appearing to empower her magic, but even striking fear into veteran members of the Emperor's Coven such as Warden Wrath and Eda's sister Lilith Clawthorne and earning the praise of Emperor Belos himself.
However, behind much of her optimism and creativity, Luz possesses deep insecurities due to the years of ostracism she endured in the Human Realm prior to arriving in the Boiling Isles. Because of her eccentric interests and neurodivergent behavior, she is seen as an outcast on Earth and difficult to engage with by her peers, school staff and, initially, her own mother, leading to her to not only suffer an utterly friendless childhood in Gravesfield but also frequent resentment and open ridicule from other children and their parents. This constant rejection from her peers, along with her inability to make friends, has resulted in Luz developing underlying self-esteem issues which will occasionally manifest. This has also left Luz afraid of basic interactions with most other humans, especially those her age, as was demonstrated when she initially assumed Vee's companions from camp to be bullies that would pick on her, before being left dumbfounded when it was revealed that they were her friends. In "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", it was implied that Luz also was bullied by other kids for her inability to fit in, which possibly served to reinforce her fear of other teens.
In addition, another factor that weighs heavily on Luz's mind is the loss of her father, Manny, whom she still grieves for, years after his passing. It's also been implied on occasion that much of Luz's creativity, eccentricity, optimism, and love of fantasy, especially her fondness for the Azura franchise, which was the final gift her father gave her, are a means of coping with his loss.
Arguably, Luz's devotion to her loved ones also serves as her greatest weakness, as she is constantly placing their burdens on her shoulders and blaming herself whenever she believes that her actions have hurt them. This was seen when she blamed herself intensely for both Eda's capture by Lilith and later the loss of her magic, despite Eda's reassurances that neither were her fault. This sense of guilt would traumatically increase, however, after discovering the truth about Belos' identity and the role she inadvertently played in his rise to power, finding the Collector, and nearly wiping out all of witch and demon-kind on the Day of Unity. Following this, Luz's optimism was increasingly worn down by the traumas she endured and the constant blame she placed on herself for them, causing her to become a much more hardened and serious person who was determined to end Belos' evil even at the cost of her own life.
By the time of "Thanks to Them", after months of being trapped with her friends in the Human Realm, Luz has become little more than a shell of her former self, with both her mental and emotional health degrading to worrisome extents, showing multiple signs of depression. By this point, Luz's earlier insecurities and low self-esteem have transformed into an intense, unhealthy sense of self-loathing, believing herself to be responsible for all of her friends' and family's suffering, to the point of furiously cursing her very existence. Because of this, the traumas she endured, and the repeated failures in returning to the Isles, all of her previous optimism and cheerfulness have faded, leaving her near constantly miserable, sullen, listless, and somewhat withdrawn, with her mood only lightening up to save face in front of her friends and not burden them with her own problems. In addition, Luz now blames herself for nearly every mistake or hindrance that she and her friends come across, even when they aren't her fault. Eventually, this spurns her into deciding to permanently remain in the Human Realm once Belos and the Collector are finally defeated, despite both her friends' reassurances and the obvious heartbreak such a choice would bring her, convinced that being out of her friends' lives is the best way to protect them from her own flaws.
However, in "For the Future", Luz's personality begins to heal following a heart-to-heart talk with her mother, in which Camila apologized to Luz for attempting to change Luz into someone she wasn't and voiced her acceptance for who Luz truly is. This not only helped bring Luz closure, but also helped her realize her heart's deepest desire: to be understood. It was through this revelation that Luz was finally able to animate and bond with her beloved palisman, Stringbean, which proved to be a major catalyst in healing Luz's damaged mental and emotional states.
Following her palisman's birth, Luz managed to regain some of her previous spirit, being noticeably more happy, playful and confident in herself once again, which continued to grow following her heartfelt reunion with King and Eda after enduring months of separation from them. In addition, Luz also retained her sense of compassion and empathetic nature, as shown when, despite all the harm the Collector had caused to both the Isles and her loved ones, she sympathized with his yearning for companionship, offering him a chance at redemption and teaching him how to establish genuine friendships with others, being very patient with him. This selfless nature was further exemplified when Luz sacrificed herself to protect the Collector from Belos' attack, highlighting how she is willing to lay down her own life to protect others without hesitation, and assuring the Collector they did nothing wrong, not wanting the child to blame himself for failing to redeem Belos.
Then, after meeting and receiving wisdom from King's father in the In Between Realm, Luz came to make piece with her previous mistakes and was finally able to let go of her guilt over accidentally helping Belos in the past. This allowed her to fully recover from the trauma that had plagued her and restored her previously eccentric, optimistic personality, which proved essential in allowing her to master the Titan's powers and defeat Belos for good. However, after the final battle with Belos, Luz demonstrated a darker side when she confronted him for the final time. During this final encounter, Luz showed significantly little emotion aside from her silent hatred of the witch hunter, as she conjured boiling rain to painfully melt away his rotten flesh, coldly ignoring his pleas for mercy, before allowing Eda, King, and Raine to finish him off for good. This demonstrated that as compassionate and forgiving as Luz can be, even she is willing to kill enemies that she deems beyond redemption and undeserving of saving.
In the four years since defeating Belos and restoring peace to the Boiling Isles, Luz continues to maintain her recovered eccentric, geeky, cheerful and optimistic personality as she prepares to attend the University of Wild Magic in the Demon Realm, having finally acquired the acceptance and happiness she had always longed for. She has also become much more confident in herself as she continues to pursue her dream of becoming a witch, no longer looking down on herself as she did years prior. Because of this, Luz abandoned all pretense she once held of permanently leaving the Demon Realm, instead now being able to happily travel between realms and regularly visiting her loved ones on the Isles before staying there once again to attend college.

(Worried) Yup! That Scent Scares Me Too.
(Afraid/Scared) Yes Mom!
Her Personality:
Molly is an optimistic Thai-American[5] girl, who lives to make the world a better place. She loves to give hugs and owns up quickly and tries to fix her mistakes, and is very imaginative. She is also energetic and caring to her friends, but also very clumsy, often tripping and slipping in most of her episodes, and is not really good at ice skating or softball (but then again, the rest of the team aren't good either). She shows a sense of naivety in "All Systems No" as well, still believing that wizards and unicorns are real despite already being a tween.
However, despite her caring nature, Molly can be sometimes selfish and pushy such as in "Mazel Tov, Libby!" where she transformed Libby's bat mitzvah into a blowout party and forces her to "come out of her shell," instead of respecting her friend's wishes and boundaries. At times like "Scratch the Surface", she can also get restless and overthink easily, making her prone to lying. Although generally gregarious, Molly does have some degree of savagery, mostly applied to bratty people namely Andrea Davenport, such as when Andrea stole her show in "Hooray for Mollywood!".
In "Saving Christmas", after failing to change the stubbornness of Mr. Davenport, Molly descended into a depression, losing her care for Christmas. This proves that Molly's optimism can be broken.
Molly going insane
A major flaw of Molly is her tendency of getting too over her head and of feigning happiness, sometimes to the point of insanity. Out of pure desperation to enjoy the cold weather in "Ready, Set, Snow!", she plays in the snow alone, slowly losing her sanity in the process. Additionally, she seems to be unaware of her declining mental stability as she ironically claims she is trying to "maintain [her] composure" in the episode's song "Snow Day". In "The Don't-Gooder", Molly takes one-upping Andrea to such an extreme degree that it scares Scratch. Molly constantly lies about being homeless in "Home is Where the Haunt Is", claiming that "everything is totally normal." While singing "Everything is Normal", Molly attends various school clubs as a distraction, which ultimately leads to a mental breakdown in the middle of the song.
