Are you interested in gaining experience in game writing, more specifically within the genre of horror? Look no further than volunteering for Creeklake, a passion project that aims to create an interactive YouTube series!

In a distant town called Creeklake, many gruesome murders have been occurring far too frequently for the police to catch up. As a young intern detective named Riley (with three versions to choose from), you are tasked to help investigate these crimes to the best of your ability. Make allies, piece together clues, do what you must to save the community, as each choice you make is crucial for the story — your ending relies entirely on what you decide, so make it count.

Our esteemed director/lead-creative Luz (@ToastIsthebest_256 on YT) is currently looking for a secondary co-director to fill-in within the current one’s absence, help develop the story, and provide assignments to the team’s departments when needed. There are currently four main groups, which include voice actors, script writers, character designers, and musicians. There are also two vacant groups, which include background artists and promoters, which I myself am clearly a part of. If you’re interested in those positions, feel free to volunteer for those instead, or recommend them to others!

Hello! I’m Luz, and I’m the director of this project, CreekLake! As mentioned up above, I’m currently looking for someone to step into the co-director role since they are absent. A little about myself is that I’m a very patient person, hard-working, and I’m not afraid to put my foot down at times. I’m excited and relieved for this because it feels like I’m a single mom at times…BUT, best of luck to you all. YOU’VE GOT THIS!!

This project is completely unpaid, so please do not expect any payment upon joining; this is merely a fun experience to help grow your expertise and interact with our fellow team members. While our Discord server is mostly quiet at times, we are a friendly, avid bunch, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you! We’ve got some fun channels to engage in, such as #art, #fanart, #pets, #counting, #truth-or-dare, and #akinator!

Responsibilities:

• Discuss story with Luz and writing department

  • Create ideas

  • Plan story routes

  • Organize the story

• Write and review scripts

• Provide assignments to departments

• Supervise the team, especially in the absence of the director and co-director

Requirements

After Submission:

• I’ll send your submission to Luz for them to review. An interview process may or may not occur via discord if they approve.

• Once you chat with them, they’ll take it away from there. Make a good first impression!
