Crayon Shin Chan(The English Dub Experience)

He is the son of Hiroshi and Misae. His nickname is "Shin-chan" and he is Himawari's brother. A kindergarten-aged boy whose antics are the basis for the series.

Toru Kazama (風間 徹 Tōru Kazama) (5 years old), Georgie in the English Funimation dub and Cosmo in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, is Shin-chan's immaculately groomed friend and classmate from the sunflower class, who usually loses his mind when Shin-chan tease him and other things. He also bickers with Shin Chan. Even though Kazama always denied when Shin Chan says that he is his best friend, his best friend is Shin Chan too. Of all Shin's friends, he's the only one referred to by his family name (Kazama-kun). Only his mother and father use his given name (Tōru-chan).

Masao Sato (マサオ) (5 years old), Max in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs and shortened to Maso in the Funimation dub, is one of Shin-chan's friends and classmates from the sunflower class. Sometimes he is called 'Masao-kun'. He is a weak, sensitive boy and is scared of many things. He can be easily embarrassed, but believes his and Ai's love can conquer anything. He has been in love with Megumi Yamura.

Nene Sakurada (Neni) (桜田ネネ) (5 years old), also known as Penny in the Funimation dub and Nini in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, is one of Shin-chan's classmates and friends from the sunflower class.

Bo Suzuki (Bo-chan) (ボーちゃん) is one of Shin-chan's friends and classmates from the sunflower class, he is 5 years old. Sometimes he is called 'Bo-chan'. He seems slow and expressionless, but is actually quite smart and has an interest in artistic, adult-oriented things. He loves to collect various kinds of stones, and investigating urban legends and various mysterious objects such as UFOs. He has his own place where he says the rarest stones in Japan can be found. He often surprises his friends with his insight, though he speaks quite slowly. He always has a trail of mucus running down his nose and can perform various tricks with it. Bô-chan always volunteers for the role of pet dog or cat when the group plays house. After the nursery he likes to go to a Kasukabe store in which tatami is made, he loves to see how they do it.

Misae Nohara (née Koyama) (野原みさえ), Mitsy Nohara in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, is the mother of the Nohara family, and its caretaker. She is 29 years old but she always tells people that she is 24 or 25. She is the classical housewife of post-war Japan - she cleans, launders, cooks, sews, mothers, and lazes all to varying degrees of success. A paragon of hypocrisy, after handing out irrevocable edicts to her husband and children (mainly Shinnosuke), she will not hesitate to immediately break them once they are out of sight and has even been known to display double standards while in their company. Her famous and symbolic moves includes "drilling" others' head with her fists (known in Japanese as the "Guri-Guri Attack" (グリグリ攻撃 Guri-Guri Kōgeki))

Hiroshi Nohara (野原ひろし) (35 years old), Harry Nohara in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, is the father of the Nohara family, and its sole source of income as he works at as kakarichô (a low-level manager) at Futaba Shoji where he does overtime to earn a little more money and because of the 32-year mortgage he still has to pay. Quite surprisingly he still manages to have time to spend with his family. Hiroshi met Misae Koyama when he was 29 and married her soon after. Soon, they had Shinnosuke.

Midori Ishizaka (石坂 みどり) (Maiden name:（よしなが）Yoshinaga), Miss Dori Snell in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, and Ms. Anderson in the English Funimation dub, is the 24 year old teacher of the Sunflower class. Midori Yoshinaga is her maiden name.

Ume Matsuzaka (松坂 梅), Miss Uma in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, and Ms. Katz in the Funimation dub, is the arch-rival of Midori Ishizaka of the Rose Class. She is 24 year old and single. She likes to live stylishly in public but she actually struggles to save her money for accessories and lives in a very cheap, dusty apartment.

Bunta Takakura (高倉文太) (48 years old), Principal Enzo in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, is the principal of Futaba Kindergarten, he's often referred to as "Enchō" (園長), which means "Kindergarten/Nursery School Principal." He has an punch perm hairstyle. His Yakuza-like appearance is often misunderstood by the people in the neighborhood and even within the students of the kindergarten in some occasions, which often acts as a recurring joke in the series (often worsened by Shin-chan by calling him "Kumichō" (組長 Godfather / Gang boss). Actually, he has a tender heart and good attitude. He is shown to like women's wrestling in episode 131-2 which was dubbed by Vitello. His wife is Mrs. Takakura. In the Vitello dub he has a cousin called Vinzienzo Torgelson.

Action Mask (Action Kamen - Japanese, Masked Muchacho - Vitello and Phuuz, Gemaskerde Muchacho - Dutch, Action Bastard - Funimation) (アクション仮面 Akushon Kamen) is the protagonist of a TV series with the same name within Crayon Shin-chan. The actor who plays him is Gotarō Gō, Action Mask's alter ego. When not engaged in saving the world, he is a movie stuntman. In the anime it is explained that when he was about to die, a scientist using an advanced technology provided superpowers, in the title song of the series is said that he "comes from the stars, to protect peace on earth". Shinchan stated that he hopes to be Action Kamen when he grows up. The word "Kamen" (Mask) is a reference to the popular Japanese television series Kamen Rider. Action Mask comes from the "Action Planet" (アクション星 Akushon Sei).

Micchi Hatogaya (鳩ヶ谷 ミッチー Hatogaya Micchī) (26 years old), Gidgy in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, is Yoshirin's wife. Their surnames are named after Hatogaya, Saitama. She is not a great administrator of the home, so she has constant economic problems.

Nanako Ohara (大原 ななこŌhara Nanako), Miss Bono in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, is the college girl with whom Shin-chan is in love. She first appeared in episode 175a "My True Love" (オラの本気の恋だゾ). The first time they met was when Shin-chan was strolling in the neighborhood and got something in his eye. Nanako took it out for him. Since then, they have kept in contact. Nanako is the only girl that is unruffled by Shin-chan's behavior, and the only one Shin-chan tries to behave for, even being shy and blushing around her. She dreams of being a kindergarten teacher.

Himawari Nohara (野原ひまわり), Daisy Nohara in the Vitello, Phuuz and Dutch dubs, is the youngest child of the Nohara family, born on September 27 of 1996 (the date of the special episode in which she was born). She is a precocious and vibrant infant. While technically newborn, her character has matured and grown more intelligent during her stay in the series. She can't talk. 

Stomach Band Ladies (Japanese: Haramaki Ladies, ハラマキレディース) are the central antagonists and a pair of three women working behind the scenes as a subordinate of Leotard Devil. They are mainly shown to be evil, but when Shin-chan saves them in the end they become good.

Leotard Devil (ハイレグ魔王) is the main antagonist in Crayon Shin-chan: Action Mask vs. Leotard Devil. He is an alien from another dimension who attempts to invade Earth.

Professor Kitakasukabe (Dr. Kitakasukabe) (北春日部博士 Kitakasukabe-kyoju) is Action Mask's ally, a kind-professor and inventor from Kasukabe. He has grey hair, wears glasses and a mustache. He appeared in Crayon Shin-chan: Action Mask vs. Leotard Devil.

Lulu (ルル) is Prince Sunnosukeshi's bodyguard from the Military Force in Crayon Shin-chan: The Hidden Treasure of the Buri Buri Kingdom, she is a master of martial arts. Her full name is Lulu Lu Lululu (ルル・ル・ルル).

Mr. Anaconda (アナコンダ) is the leader of the White Snake Gang. He is a villain, he use turn to transform as monster, took Mr. Viper on inside Vase, they were gone.

Buriburizaemon (ぶりぶりざえもん), Porkazoid in the Vitello and Phuuz dubs, Brave Pig in the English LUK Internacional dub, and Big-a-zoid in the Dutch dub, is a cowardly talking pig who is featured in some of the episodes and chapters set in ancient Japan. Buriburizaemon is a product of Shin-chan's imagination, but is treated as an actual character. He is a unique kind of hero who'll come running when someone calls for his help, but immediately defect to the other side if he's outnumbered, and then ask you for a $10 million "rescue fee" (he takes loans).
