Code1242 is a fangame crossover of Error143 & Going Live! This game will be a romantic and horror visual novel following two main characters going through mental obstacles along their cast of side characters and friends! Romance them, befriend them, or lead them to an untimely demise. It’s your choice!

Franchesca Rose, a college major focused on architect. She’s very precise and snappy towards other people who she’s worried will mess up her projects or won’t be able to comprehend her work. Even if she nerds out or comes off rude, she enjoys the company of those who mutually listen and share her enjoyment of architecture and its history, along with what it means to her. For her lines, be stuck up if it fits and try to give her a more gravely voice!

Winona Valencia, the fashionable College major. Known for her frequent make overs and being Malachi’s best friend. She’s very aloof and wanting everyone to be their best and feel as if they look their best! Don’t be afraid to show off sass when talking as her.

[sassy] “Malachi, dearie, I know you’re venting and all but can you please pay this bill? You can keep whining after.”
Minji Yujin, Mother to Malachi Yujin and Micah Yujin. She’s known to be very manipulative, gaslighting and ditzy. She’s known to dismiss her children but she’s enjoyable enough. Make her pleasantly infuriating!

Michael Yujin, Father to Malachi Yujin and Micah Yujin. He’s for the most part an absent father, he’s very stingy with money, strict and has a more intimidating and gruff tone like he’s seen better days. Don’t be afraid to add some aggression to his lines if need be!

[Casual yet gruff tone] “Your little friend here invited me over, I was in town so I’d figured I’d stop by… even if you’re still doing (Acting as if gesturing to Malachi) whatever the fuck this is.”
[More annoyed to agitated] “Well guess what.. we didn’t have to come at all! I didn’t come here to feed your delusions! Now watch your fucking mouth!”
[a tired sigh] “Yeah maybe I shouldn’t have come at all, it’s clear you don’t want me here and we already have enough tension already. It was harder to come by with money being tight this month.”
Dakota Hayes, the main bassist for Atlas’s band! They typically got out of their way to stand out and take their music to heart. Typically they’re seen as a bystander or at times even an instigator, but it doesn’t stop them from showing off their capability and using atlas’s band as a way to further put themselves on a pedestal. Their voice is more casual, and could lean to being more feminine, masculine or in between , it doesn’t matter!

Aphrodite, known for being the main singer in Atlas’s band stands out for her motherly attitude and sheer talent. She is normally the peacemaker in most situations, even going as far as to intercept if need be, guiding others to do the right thing. But however she wishes people would get to know her deeper on an emotional level. Do not be afraid to make her voice softer, alluring almost!

[Deep in thought] “I’m fine dear, I’m just thinking that’s all. Probably more than I should but the feeling will pass I promise.”
Quinn Wilde, The main drummer of Atlas’s Band WxthDrxwn and Atlas’s Best friend. Basically born a nepo baby and uses his money to pursue his hobbies and spoil his band mates like his own family! Typically a very laid back character and pretty nice to be honest

Lorenzo Cervantes, a photography major and part of the debate team. This annoying piece of garbage spends his time taking pictures and digging dirt on everyone around the college as scoops for the college papers and social media, boosting the college ratings. Try to be snarky and punchable for this guy as possible.

[Cocky] “Yes yes I know, I hear your praises. I’m well known around the college, and my position is QUITE favorable.”
[Offended] “Are you… bribing me? I could have you written up for this you know, this is against college code!”
[Snarky] “Did you know that uh… what’s the pink guy’s name again? The one with the lesbian haircut? Yeah, that’s what we’re going with, used to have a thing for little shark boy over there. Pretty depressing if you ask me.”
Adrianna Myles, the lead cheerleader for the college football team. She’s typically seen coaching the rest of the cheer team, staying in top shape or doing community service around the college. She wants to spend her life and time dedicating to seeing other people succeed, including her cousin Franchesca who she’s constantly cheering for from the sidelines. Try to be upbeat and encouraging for her character, can’t have a mopey sounding cheerleader.

[Encouraging] “Alright girls and guys, the football tournament will be taking place at 8 and we need to be at our very best! We represent our college with the football team, so LET ME HEAR YOU SHOUT!”
[Out of breath and trying to catch it as she speaks] “Well… I can’t ever skip leg day… but I’m sure somebody rigged the machines today, they were either going too fast for my liking or they wouldn’t budge!”
[Excited] “Have you come to cheer on Franchesca too? It’s her biggest competition yet, against the other colleges and all… well of course I have to be here! I wouldn’t miss my cousin’s competitions for the world!”
The narrator, although not always visible in the game, will be reading tons of the monologues and dialogue. Their voice isn’t specified as again, anybody can voice them!

“You handed him a stuffed shark, one with that adorable angry face and the felt teeth. When Malachi takes it, it almost like his eyes light up instantly.”
E.C, a sentient AI found in Malachi’s Computer. They help run mini games, keep track of the music and hold all the lore and information you theorists so desire. Their voice is planned to be a sea of multiple distorted voices, so I am accepting multiple voice actors of any gender for this one!

“Zilas.Exe is being deleted. Are you sure you wish to do this? I know this isn’t [Malachi Yujin] on the computer right now. All deleted files will be saved into the cloud. I repeat, Zilas.Exe is now deleted. I hope you made the right choice.”
A college professor that will be seen a few times towards the beginning of the demo and end!
The professor can be any gender, as long as they sound like a professional teacher!

Fletcher Knowles, a college music major! Known to appreciate the classics, it’s what he centers his work around, adding his own twist to pieces to assemble a newfound appreciation for them. He’s straightforward and collected but dislikes Atlas’s band very openly. If you can, don’t be afraid to give him sass and a bit of flippancy with answers if called for it.

Navaeh Rios, The Law and Justice College Major! They’re normally stone faced and all business but morally righteous. They are known to try to help everyone reach moral redemption and become better people in society. Don’t be afraid to give them a monotone to mildly expressive voice unless deeply emotional in anger!

Mackenzie Jones, A college major and bundle of joy! She’s not typically seen doing one specific hobby or studying one major but rather wandering around campus trying to make friends. She’s very kind and hospitable to all she meets with her new yorkian accent slipping through as she speaks.

Malachi Yujin, the Main Guy of the whole game! He’s pathetic and a hopeless Romantic but it adds to his charm! He’s lived his life under someone else’s shadow but it doesn’t stop him from trying his best to appeal to people! Make sure his delivery is animated, exaggerated & sweet at times. Don’t be afraid to be emotional for lines!

Atlas Phantom, the other main character of Code1242! Unlike Malachi, he is more distant and rash, even throwing sass towards the player at times to get them to stop pursuing him. Overtime he softens up what he realizes your intention of just loving him, making him a caring and sweet guy over all. He is known around campus for his band WxthDrxwn or N.C.S as his older fans known it. Don’t be afraid to show seriousness in his lines unless the tone says otherwise!
