Code Lyoko - XANA Awakens Abridged
Project Overview
XANA Awakens Abridged is a fan-parody that redubs both parts of the Season 3 special. This project may expand outward from there depending on it's success, though I am only looking to cast this episode at the moment.
In the original series, Aelita is a kind and gentle presence. She treats every character she meets with genuinely caring attitude. Our take on her is much in line with this, the jokes we tell with her often center her as a straight-man to the absurdity of the situations she finds herself in.

No! I woke up the moment that Jeremie restarted the Supercomputer. I don’t know who I am. My memory has been erased.
Jeremie! They’re attacking me!
Jeremie you’re the wind beneath my wings!
In the original series Jeremy is the nerd of the group and the reason for the show's core conflict with XANA. He found the supercomputer and formed a romantic bond with her immediately. Our take on Jeremie explores the darker themes of this idea. He's dismissive of Aelita and a bit of a chauvinist.

Diary of Jeremie Belpois, Kadic Academy eighth grade student,
Unfortunately, you’re not like Odd or Ulrich. You can’t be devirtualised when you lose all of your life points.
That’s fantastic! This virtual world has an entire ecosystem with virtual living creatures! Can you get closer?
In Code Lyoko proper, Ulrich is the serious and hot-headed member of the group. He can be a bit petulant and his ego is recurring source of conflict. Our take on Ulrich centers him as the straight-man of the comedy with a bit of a victim complex.

Cool?! She’s totally braindead, and a leech as well!
I have to go… polish my flip flops… bye!
Well, you wanted to go out with me, now’s your chance.
Yumi is the cool-headed older sister of the Lyoko Warriors. She's very often the voice of reason, though her relationship drama with Ulrich is a frequent source of conflict. Our take on Yumi amps up this "cool chick" factor to the point where she's a little bit of a bully.

Back for another thrashing?
I don’t have any friends.
For the last time, I’m not Chinese, I’m Japanese!
Odd is the silly and flirtatious jokester of the group. He's constantly cracking wise and harassing his female classmates. Our version of Odd is a chaotic bisexual king.

I am not scrawny! I’m svelte!
What do you think we’re doing? Having a tea party?
Woah, who’s the good lookin’ babe?
Elisabeth "Sissi" Delmas is a student at Kadic Academy, and the daughter of the school's principal. She's petty, mean, and frequently interferes with the Lyoko Warrior's adventures.

That is so dumb! I’ll have you know yellow is the in color this year!
Plus, I couldn’t possibly miss cheerleading practice tomorrow morning!
Get inside the Pentapulon Ulrich, it will protect us!
In the original series, Jim is the strict but lovable Physical Education teacher at Kadic Academy, as well as the campus supervisor, disciplinarian, health teacher, and martial arts instructor. Our take on Jim makes him a bit more of a boomer, amping up his more stubborn traits from the original series.

Its razor-sharp teeth were going for my jugular, but I was able to save myself, thanks to my perfect mastery of the raging hand of Li Fou Chang!
I’d rather not talk about it.
Sorry, Sissi, but Cheerleading is not about being a boomerang-juggling baboon!
In the original series, Mr. Delmas, is the headmaster and principal of Kadic Academy. He is very straightforward, but weak-minded and gullible, and is easily bossed around by his daughter Sissi and easily fooled by the Lyoko Warriors. Our version is pretty much in line with this, maybe more of an unhinged patriarch than the original.

You’ll be fine, my dear. You must have electrocuted yourself with your hairdryer.
Come now, Sissi. This is ridiculous. We are not going down into the sewers!
I don’t want to hear about these giant balls of electricity again. The only big balls I’m interested in are- that is to say- enough of this talk of balls!
In the original series this guy is basically the "soy beta cuck" to Ulrich's "chad" status. He's a dweeby nerd who constantly follow's Sissi around in the hopes that one day she'll stop pining after Ulrich and go out with him instead. Our take on Herb is basically the same, if a little more incel-coded.

Bravo! Well done! Encore! Encore!
We’re your biggest admirers in the whole school! We even started a fan club called “Friends of Sissi."
In the original series, Nicolas is Herb's dumb sidekick. Our take on him has everybody treating him that way, though he frequently acts as the voice of reason around Herb.
