Project Overview
The Mayor of a rundown city is shot dead by an unknown assassin on the night of an election. Detective Lucy Gale and her boss, Dale Winston, team up to find the ones responsible, unearthing shocking secrets at the heart of the city.
This Halo machinima is an original story loosely based on the Halo universe. You don't need to have any knowledge of the Halo series to apply, and you don't need experience voice acting before - send in as many auditions as you want!

The lead detective on the Mayor's murder case. She is excellent at her job, quick to act and always able to improvise her way out of a situation. She is cynical and serious at times, but often jokes around as it’s her way of coping with the brutal world she lives in.

Or it could be someone in Buckley’s camp who hated the poor bastard. Either way, there’s no chance this is a random killing.

The chief of the Blackstone Detective Agency. He’s an older man, always swamped with work but somehow able to keep on top of it all. He is authoritative and tries to take good care of his people, despite the situations they often find themselves in.

Concord might be a prick, but I don’t know why he’d put out a hit on his main political rival this close to the results.
(serious) Just know that we’ll be keeping a very close eye.
The political rival of the current Blackstone Mayor. He is rich, conniving, and manipulative, and doesn’t even bother to hide it due to how many people are sick of the current mayor. He is power-hungry and heartless, making him a prime suspect in his opponent’s assassination.

The deputy working under Mayor Buckley. He is secretly tired of his bosses’ failures but still tries to maintain a professional relationship. He cares deeply about the city and would take drastic action to make sure it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. He is smart, secretive and well-spoken, but prone to bursts of anger.

The current mayor of the city of Blackstone. They have been in charge of the city for years, but failed to fix the big issues that people care about. Despite this, they still think they have a chance at being re-elected. They are over-confident, commanding and easily annoyed. (This role can be played by any gender.)

If it weren’t for the media stoking tensions, they’d see his behaviour for what it is. No, tomorrow morning will be business as usual, I assure you.
A mysterious figure who keeps to the shadows. It’s unknown who they are or where they come from. They are robotic and emotionless. They don’t speak much, and it’s not clear whether they’re even human. They are a ruthless killer, extremely effective and uncompromising. (This role can be played by any gender).
