Project Overview
Welcome to Unboundix – Untold Songs, a fan-made series where each Warrior Cats book gets its own original AI-generated song paired with a fully colored animatic.
This is a non-profit fan project created for fun and passion. All contributors will be credited prominently in the video, description, and promotional posts.
What We’re Looking For
🎨 Art & Animation Roles:
Animatic Artist: Storyboard and timing to the music
Lineart Artist: Clean up and polish frames
Colorist / Shading Artist: Bring the lineart to life with rich color and light
Background Artist: Paint forest, camp, and battle locations
Requirements
Ability to meet deadlines (estimated project time: 4–6 weeks)
Communication via Discord or email
For artists: Must provide examples of relevant work (cats, environments, or storyboards)
What You Get

Role: Create rough storyboards timed to the music track, mapping out the entire video before final art begins.
Requirements: Ability to capture dynamic poses and expressions for Warrior Cats characters Comfortable working with a pre-written scene list & beat map Experience in matching visuals to song pacing
You Will Receive: Credit in the video, description, and social posts as “Animatic Artist”
Audition Task: Submit 2–3 rough storyboard panels (cats in action, emotional moment) + note your software

Role: Take storyboard frames and create clean, polished lineart for each scene.
Requirements:
- Steady, consistent line quality
- Ability to match existing character designs (fur patterns, eye colors, scars)
You Will Receive: Credit as “Lineart Artist” in video and description
Audition Task: Submit 1–2 cat drawings with clear linework

Role: Add color and shading to the cleaned frames for a vibrant, finished look.
Requirements:
- Experience with digital coloring and lighting effects
- Able to keep colors consistent across frames
You Will Receive: Credit as “Colorist” in video and description
Audition Task: Submit 1–2 colored cat drawings

Role: Design and paint forest backgrounds, camp interiors, and battlefields that match the mood of the song.
Requirements:
- Skilled in environment painting
- Ability to create layered PSDs for easy animation parallax effects
You Will Receive: Credit as “Background Artist”
Audition Task: Submit one forest environment piece
