Character Name: Yama Voice-Actor Needed! In-progress audio manga character project.
Project Overview
Yama, The Ventriloquist is a character that lives behind a mask of kindness, relishing in the amusement of others. In reality, he has a sickening desire to make music from the screams of anguish from the vocals of his victims. There will be few lines for Yama's spotlight, but we would like to solidify a voice for this unique character who can make a powerful sword using his Nej.
Please upload a demo-reel covering a variety of your own voices or the voice-lines below to audition for the part of Yama Mabukusho.
(Calm, yet mockingly) A musician always keeps their instruments close- they'll never know when they may want to play a few notes.
(Quietly, excited) Shh, it's time for your curtain-call.
(Evil-y, not yelling) Taiyoganoburo (the name of his sword) Pronounciation: Tie-yo-gan-oh-boo-row

Voice-line quantity change
Hello, auditioners! Awesome to see that some people are auditioning for the role, I am super excited to listen and review all of them. I'm posting an update to say that I am changing the amount of voice-lines that are going to be used in the spotlight for Yama. Originally, I'd estimate that the amount of audio used would be roughly 15-30 seconds long. However, now, I am looking at more 5-10 minutes of vocal dialogue. I hope this does not discourage any of you from auditioning, but if you wish to no longer apply for the role, you are more than free to delete your submission. I will email the script to the person who gets the role of Yama on the 27th. Please keep in mind that the project will be live on YouTube on the 31st, so I will be giving you voice-direction during the week between the 28th and 30th. So please make sure that you have your calendars relatively open. Thank you very much, -ANT
Always cool as ice in public, but lets out his inhuman nature when he no longer feels in control.
