Character and NPC Casting | Project Mokyuu
Project Overview
Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story is a mobile game spin-off of the critically acclaimed 2011 dark magical girl anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
In October of 2020, the English server for Magia Record ceased operations, never releasing all the content available on the Japanese server. In response, we started Project Mokyuu to produce a high-quality English fan-dub for Magia Record’s Arc 2 content, which will likely never receive an official English translation.
The purpose of this casting call is to cast some NPC roles and recast some named characters who's initial VAs with the project have stepped down.
We are currently casting for these three events: "A Diary to Write with You," "Girls in the Hood." and "Arc 2 Prologue"
If you are casted for any of the named roles, please be aware that voicing a character with Project Mokyuu is a long-term commitment. You will be expected to be on-call for any content in which your character appears. In short, before joining Project Mokyuu, be sure that you have the commitment and responsibility for the role.
As long as you respect our time, we will try to the best of our ability to offer that same respect for your time.
If you are selected and accept the role, you are obligating yourself to a long-term commitment to be this character's voice actor.
The deadline for auditions is June 12th. Casting decisions will be made public within a few days afterwards.

Though she's grown stronger mentally, she still has a strong timid side. Protagonist of the event "A Diary to Write with You"

I know there should be a ton of words... Stuff I should want to say... Stuff I should want to ask. But the truth is that I'm scared to ask.
A Magical Girl who looks and acts like a tomboy. She was raised and trained alongside the boys at her father's karate dojo. Akira is known as "The Troubleshooter of Sankyoin," because she can't say no to someone in need. As one of Ren Isuzu's friends, Akira is a supporting character in "A Diary to Write with You"

But first, let me teach you a phrase my father taught me when I was little that's really important to me: "Inaction is cowardice".
An awkward, shut-in recluse who spends all her time on internet forums. With the help of her new friend, Jun Kazari, Mitsune hopes to escape her reclusive life. Mitsune is the protagonist of the event "Girls in the Hood" and serves as a supporting reoccurring character throughout Arc 2.
"Stupid Mitsune... If you can't escape on your own, you're gonna be a shut-in for the rest of your life..."
"Maybe you put a spell on me. Or if you didn't, maybe you SHOULD put a spell on me..."
"I just... I wanted to change myself, to stop being a shut-in..."
A veteran Magical Girl, and one of the leaders of the Kamihama Magia Union. She is kind, but firm as she heads team Mikazuki Villa. Yachiyo is a main character throughout Arc 2.
"Well, now that we're all here together... What do you say we go shopping for some mugs for everyone?"
"No matter what happens, I want you to be the one I entrust my hope to, Iroha."
"Please, stop. My determination will crumble if you say those things...just like before... I'm begging you, please leave me alone... Leave me be... If you don't, I may end up killing you."

“I certainly did. They’re tickets to a picture book exhibition.”

This role is an aggregate audition for all the different teen girl NPCs we currently need. There are 4 open roles for this NPC type.
"Huh? Rika you’re leaving?"
"I... I tried to... I tried to jump...off the roof?!"
"Next person please!"
This role is a casting call for Little Girl #2, a significant NPC in the event "Girls in the Hood" She looks up to Jun Kazari and Mitsune Miwa.
"Big sister Mitsune, let's play!"
"My yo-yo keeps hitting the ground…"
"Oh no, that's scary..."
This role is a casting call for "Grams," an old woman who runs a candy shop which serves as a hangout spot for the neighborhood children in the event "Girls in the Hood"
"Oh, you're here again today, Jun."
"As long as there are little customers here, I can't go dying yet."
"The kids wanted to go on an expedition to a neighboring district. Mitsune went with them."
