Chaotic Bending: Avatar the Last Airbender and Sonic the Hedgehog Crossover Chapter 6
Project Overview
This is an audiobook that crosses Sonic the Hedgehog with Avatar the Last Airbender. In terms of chronology, it takes place after Sonic Forces in the Sonic canon and in ATLA show canon, it starts in book 3 and finishes out the series. Most of the roles are filled except for Sonic and Shadow, whose VA recently quit due to a very packed schedule.

Sonic is the main protagonist of the Sonic series and in the remaining parts, he helps save Aang, but is badly hurt in the process.

(genuinely worried) I just hope we can find Eggman and Infinite before they roboticize Aang. It's...a little my fault that he got captured in the first place. If I had been able to stick around for the fight...
(arriving at the lab just in time to see Aang nearly completely roboticizied) No! Aang! Hang on, I'll bust you out!
(absolute refusal that he is too late to keep Aang human) No...no! This isn't happening! (breaks open the container Aang is in) Talk to me, Aang! Tell me it isn't so....
Shadow is one of Sonic's greatest rivals, matching him pace for pace in both speed and strength. He was first introduced in Sonic Adventure 2, and has fast become a fan favorite character. In this story, he helps bring Aang back despite the fact that he barely knows him. You might say he comes to respect the boy because he helps save Sonic. Also, as a note, if you are cast for Shadow this chapter, you will be expected to finish out the series. Same goes for Sonic.

(simply explaining why Aang was roboticized, sort of echoing what Katara thinks about why Eggman did it) He transformed Aang because of the one thing that both he and Sonic have in common that he is jealous of, and that's their innocence.
(sighs, suppressing his nerves) It won't be easy to bring the Avatar back to his senses, but if you guys think it's worth a shot, I suppose we could give it a try. Just don't let go of him at all, Silver. All right?
Metal Sonic is here because he was around protecting Eggman when they got taken to Aang's world.

(a bit angry) You don't get to decide /anything/, prisoner. The only reason you still live is because the Doctor has use for you.
(annoyed) There is no such thing as spirits, and you pathetic humans don't frighten me. Your words fall on deaf ears, boy.
(being a bit respectful because of Aang's status in his world as the Avatar) Any last words before you are lost to time, dear boy?
Avatar Kiyoshi has a cameo because she helps Aang retain (somewhat, though not entirely) his sense of self despite the roboticization. She helps him quietly bury it in the programming while the process is going on and helps him maintain his sense of mercy.

(reassuring Aang) Do not worry, Aang. Despite everything going on, the Spirits know you do not want this. They will not lose contact with you, for they know that it wasn't your idea to be turned into a robot.
(suggesting a compromise) I'll ensure your native bending is untouched, however, you must promise that you will not use it to kill. I know that Airbenders have very unique abilities compared to the rest.
(sighs) The spirits still shudder to think of the damage Eggman could do with you as his weapon, that's why they are letting you keep your abilities. They trust Sonic and his friends as you do.
Silver is a telekinetic hedgehog from an alternative timeline 2000 years in the future of Mobius. Though he's still somewhat of an enigma, he is starting to become more mainstream and has become close friends with Sonic, though theirs is even more closely resembling a friendship than either that of Knuckles or Shadow. He's here because he helps in Aang's rescue as well.

(a bit annoyed) Sonic, you need to relax, all right? I know you care about Aang, but taking out your frustration on me won' t help us find him!
(trying to comfort a very upset and worried Katara) Don't think anything of there being blood on his glider, Katara. However he came to be injured, he could be much better now.
(angry at Eggman) Yes, but why did you have to turn Aang evil? He could have still created our gateway to go home, even if he was good. He would have gladly done it, I am sure, if only we asked. Not only that, but he's only a little kid! How can you justify turning an innocent child like that into a robot with no autonomy?
Eggman is Sonic's archnemesis and is bent on conquering Mobius using his scientific genius and robots. He created Metal Sonic and was brought over to Aang's world as well when Sonic pulled off a Chaos Control.

(smirks) Oh, roboticization is a VERY long process, young Aang. Using the model I did, it takes between 2 and 6 hours. So you may as well adapt.
(cackles) I do believe Metal Sonic has bought me ALL the time I needed, you pesky blue rodent! You are TOO LATE to stop him from becoming my pawn!
(begging for mercy from Aang after he is returned to normal) A...Aang? I...look I'm sorry, I didn't...aah!
Knuckles is the sole remaining Echidna on Mobius and is Guardian of the Master Emerald.

(sighs) Silver, Sonic, while I hope that Aang hasn't been roboticized as much as you, I wouldn't put it past Eggman to ignore how significant Aang is to this world. He is the last of the Airbenders and...maybe he hasn't said anything to you, but his abilities are very different from Katara's, Toph's, and Zuko's. You might say that he can manipulate the air from /anywhere/, even if it's inside someone's body. So it's kind of scary to think of what Eggman can do with that kind of power.
(growls) Eggman, I can't believe you! He's the LAST of his kind, how could you do something like that?
(sighs) Hey, it's gonna be all right, Aang. And I deal with it by relying on Sonic and the rest of my friends to keep me from letting my emotions get the better of me. Another good way of dealing with that is to just keep in mind that you can inject the ideas of other cultures into the new one that you are going to start for the Airbenders. While it won't be what it used to, it will still be something unique because of what you bring to it. Any children that you and Katara have may also inherit your abilities, Aang. Don't forget about that.
