Project Overview
hello, friends! I'm aury. I'm an aspiring author and screenwriter. My friend had recommended that I use this site to help find more VA's, so I might as well use it.
I am writing a book series, Challenge of The Shadows, and my biggest dream before coming over here was to get my book animated since I always knew that I wanted my book to be an animated series rather than a piece of literature, but, what is Challenge of The Shadows? What is it about?
Challenge of The Shadows, or CoTS for short, is a fantasy and action novel written by me. a synopsis? Well, you're in for a ride.
" Locaster Helios, a bright but naive sixteen-year-old wizard, only started to discover the evils of the world. Being a shadow demon and spirit hybrid, he had to relocate to the town of Leiden and Myria, only to be uprooted again due to murders by someone of the same species as him. After nearly being killed by the bounty hunters Soul Kawasaki and Crimsom O'Connel, he finds a way to prove himself not to be the murderer and befriends them. This is followed by the meeting of the siblings Herbalist Yuna, Lieutenant Shay Hanamura, his cousins, and the healer warriors Windflower and Cherry Amana of Dawnbloom Village."
Now, what we need is a hefty bunch.
Voice Actors - As we have a cast of over 10+ characters, we also need a big voice cast.
Animators - Some animators will be needed to run some test animations on the characters, such as expression tests, walking and running tests, and how they will pick up objects.
Editors - You will assist in editing and making sure everything looks clean.
Audio Engineers - You will aid in blending in sounds like SFX and demo lines for certain scenes.
Artists - Will help in drawing small illustrations or character sheets.
Storyboarders - draft out how you interpret the excerpts of each scene.
Unfortunately, this is unpaid. This is mostly due to my financial situation—basically, I don't have a bank account or a job, so my income is unstable, and my situation is quite shaky. But what I can offer is passion and unlimited creativity.
Working on our project has many benefits:

There are loose deadlines for the project, and this is so so all artists, engineers, voice actors, and artists get enough time to work on what they need to work on and deliver high-quality pieces and lines. the deadlines are 2-3 months for storyboards and animatics but can always be extended.

I hope you all understand my financial situation. This is solely a passion project, but it has a deep place rooted in my heart and I want to make my dream come true of finally seeing my characters move in an animated perspective.

Crimson is an irish guy who's goofy, but nothing is really known about him. He has a heavy Irish accent and he speaks some Irish Gaelic, so a small amount of fluency is required in that.

Cherry is the stubborn, hard-headed older half-sister of Windflower. Despite her harsh treatment of her at times, she still cares for her and tries to protect her when she can.

Yuna is a gentle woman, and raised both Windflower and Cherry alongside her brother. She's essentially their mentor.

Veena is cool and practical. She's not entirely apathetic, but her face is straight enough to a degree where people cant tell if she wants to kill them or if she's pissed off.

Fēng is meek. since she was isolated, she often stammers and has a difficult time interacting with others, so she occasionally stammers and whatnot. her voice is very soft sounding, sometimes it can be a bit incomprehensible but she can speak clearly when needed.

Hideko is the older adoptive brother of his younger but kooky sister, Shizuka. He can be a bit rough on the edges due to growing up in the slums, and sometimes violent if provoked, but deep down he has a soft spot for children and those who grew up similarly to him.

Hideko's younger sister. Adopted when she was quite young but was taken away by a terrorist militia, causing her to act a little too kooky. she starts off polite, but she acts more energetic and I guess more loosened up.

Locaster's dad. Was once an ancient ruling demon but crashed out and killed his council and the council before that. He settled down with a woman, had a kid, but his wife died and he crashed out once again.

This means he requires two voice actors, so it is why the voice description has contradicting words. His spirit form is more on the innocent side while his shadow form is more on the vindictive, vengeful side.

Ashton (Real Name Khanh) is a soldier from Lyakon. He's everything every woman wants: Flirty, Charismatic, and has a heart of gold, but deep down he's a bit of a pessimistic asshole. Not all that much, though. He grew up with Hideko and Shizuka.

Itari is... Well, Hideko's Dad. He shows up a bit in book two but is mostly a major character in book three. he's an asshole, a womanizer, and incredibly manipulative. and he also abandoned his son at nine. LOL.
