Project Overview
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, known in Japan as "Castlevania: Minuet of Dawn" (キャッスルヴァニア ～暁月の円舞曲～ ) is the third and Final installment of the Castlevania series made for the Game Boy Advance. Aria of Sorrow is set in the year 2035, when Dracula has long been sealed away after a battle in 1999. The plot follows the journey of Soma Cruz, a teenager granted occult power as a result of being a potential vessel of Dracula's reincarnation, as he battles dark figures that wish to inherit the undead lord's power.
Aria of Sorrow remains to be, even to this day, one of my favourite games of all time. I figured because of this reason, as well as 2015 being the tenth anniversary of its sequel "Dawn of Sorrow," I wanted to show it the proper respect it so rightfully deserves. I wanted to make this for my Youtube channel.

Mina Hakuba is the childhood friend and likely romantic interest of Soma Cruz.
She and Soma were unexpectedly brought into Dracula's Castle after witnessing the Solar Eclipse at the Hakuba Shrine at her home in Japan.
Age: 18
Desired voice range: Medium-High"Soma! Listen to him, he's telling you the truth!"
"Tensho Daijin is the sun. The act of hiding symbolizes an eclipse. By hiding herself away, she was able to contain Susanoo's anger."
"No, not at all! At first, we were shocked, but everyone believes you'll get through this. I'm going to send you a message from them now..."
Genya Arikado is a member of a top-secret Japanese government agency. He tells Soma Cruz that he must reach the Throne Room when he finds that he is trapped in Dracula's Castle, which has been sealed by an eclipse. Arikado is a frequent visitor to the Hakuba Shrine and an associate of Yoko Belnades.
Age: In the Hundreds...? (He IS immortal, after all) But I'm guessing around early thirties, by face value alone.
Desired voice range: Low to Medium low, smooth and Soft Spoken.
"I too, have things I must do within these castle walls."
"Go. Set forth! Both your own life and hers are at stake."
Yoko Belnades is a descendant of the Belnades Clan and a powerful witch, similar to her ancestor Sypha Belnades. She is very close to Mina Hakuba, the daughter of the owner of the Hakuba Shrine, and is like an older sister to her. She performs tasks for the Roman Catholic Church in their search for Dracula and the remainder of his powers.
Age: Likely around 24
Desired Voice range: Medium, or Medium High. Seems to be rather high spirited and friendly, especially toward the likes of Soma, considering him a "little brother" to her.
"Oh, forgive me. I'm Yoko Belnades. I'm a member of the church."
" Well, he may seem cold at first, but he's actually quite a decent guy. He may be looking out for you because you share the same dark powers."
"You are yourself. There's no one else you could be. Don't second guess yourself. Be confident. That's most important."
Hammer serves as the vendor to Soma’s journeys and is generally a less serious character. He is initially a soldier in the United States military, and he is sent to the Hakuba Shrine in 2035 to investigate the events there. Of course, he is magically transported into Castlevania alongside all the other characters, and he must be rescued by Soma Cruz from one of the castle’s boss monsters. Hammer reveals that he has been thinking about quitting the army and opening up his own shop, and he decides to set up a stall at the castle’s front gate to sell Soma powerful items and potions he had found previously for gold that Soma racks up during his quest in the castle.

" ...I thought I was inspecting a shrine, but suddenly I was in a castle. Don't ya think that's a mean thing to do to a guy? So I just bailed on my mission."
"Don't be shy now, ya hear? It's good to be young! It's a good thing! Alrighty, back to business... Take a look around, friend!"
" Yes, yes it is. By the way, that cute young lady over there... She's staring at you. Is she yer friend?"
Graham Jones is the main antagonist. He was the founder and the chief missionary of a religious sect with hordes of devout followers, and he preached that the prophecies of apocalyptic events that were popular at the end of the 20th century will come to pass in 2035. The events in question he would attempt to execute, in a sense; He was born in 1999, at the moment Dracula was destroyed and therefore possessed magical powers, and in turn this led him to believe that he was the reincarnation of Dracula.
Age: 36
Desired Voice range: Medium or Low. He's Kinda deranged, too. So....keep that in mind.
" ..No, it's all true. It was leaked to the outside world. Usually, the church handles these things with utmost secrecy... Over the course of time, Dracula has resurrected many times... when people lost faith... and craved chaos and destruction..."
"That is because I don't consider you a threat to my mission. But that being said, you have made it this far... I sense a power within you. Do tell me... what kind of power has awoken within you?"
"WHAT!? You foolish boy! That's impossible!"
Soma Cruz is the main protagonist and the successor to Count Dracula's dark power.
He seems to be that of an average teenager with a somewhat intimidating personality, but is seen to be a rather easy going person during normal circumstances.
Age: 18
Any normal yet slightly serious sounding voice will do.
"Inside the eclipse?! You're insane! Do you think I'm a fool?!"
"What the heck are you talking about? Give me an explanation!"
"Yaaaaaaaah! Go back to where you came from! "
"He's not who I thought he was. He was kind to me only because he thought I was powerless. But his attitude changed suddenly when I told him about my power."
Julius Belmont is the latest warrior in the Belmont Clan line that have been the heroes of nearly all the Castlevania games. He has the fairly high honor of being responsible for the final defeat of Dracula during 1999. This however, caused him to have amnesia. Only remembering that his name started with a "J", he wandered the lands and eventually found himself in Dracula's castle.
Age: 55
Desired voice range: Low to Medium Low.
"...I am filled with fear when I hear the name Dracula. I came here because of the prophecy. I also thought my memory might return. In fact, since my arrival, I have felt like my memory is returning."
"It's a whip that was handed down to me. It's called "Vampire Killer." In 1999, I sealed it in this castle to weaken his spirit and magical powers."
"I must Destroy Dracula at any cost. That is my destiny."
